DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN HEAT 1 331M EBONY
SANDS was best to begin with JOHN’S CHOICE very slow to begin. Entering the back straight CRYSTAL CASCADE
was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. At the same time CRAZY EMJAY bumped ROSDUE
BALBOA resulting in that runner to be checked and lose ground. In the back straight JOHN’S CHOICE was
wide. Approaching the turn out of the
back straight ROSDUE BALBOA was tightened for racing room and momentarily
hampered. Entering the turn out of the
back straight CRYSTAL CASCADE was tightened for racing room, severely checked
and lost ground. TIARA GLOW and ROSDUE
BALBOA which were racing to its outside were checked and raced wide rounding
the turn. Approaching the turn into
the front straight CRAZY EMJAY, EBONY SANDS and PINATA all collided and were
checked to varying degrees as a consequence.
Through the turn into the front straight JOHN’S CHOICE collided with
ROSDUE BALBOA resulting in that runner to be checked and shift outwards. EBONY SANDS which was racing to its outside
was checked as a consequence. Rounding
the turn into the front straight JOHN’S CHOICE shifted outwards resulting in
ROSDUE BALBOA which was trailing to make contact with its hindquarters,
causing both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose ground. JOHN’S CHOICE continued to shift outwards
and collide with EBONY SANDS resulting in both greyhounds to be severely
checked and lose ground. In the front
straight JOHN’S CHOICE and EBONY SANDS were wide. The
greyhound CRYSTAL CASCADE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB
MAIDEN HEAT 2 331M MERRIWA and
TAZI BE GOOD were best to begin.
Entering the turn out of the back straight COUNTRY MASTER was
tightened for racing room and checked.
GEMM’S BLUE which was racing to its outside, was checked and shifted
outwards on the turn as a consequence.
Rounding the turn into the front straight TAZI BE GOOD shifted
outwards which resulted in MAGIC OPULENCE which was racing to its outside to
be momentarily hampered. The greyhound
COUNTRY MASTER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. When questioned
over the performance of COUNTRY MASTER trainer Mr. S Casey stated that the
greyhound had suffered an injury to its hock when only 3 months old and that
when suffering interference during the race the greyhound generally struggles
to regain speed. He further stated
that the greyhound would need a number of starts before gaining any racing
form. Stewards noted his explanation. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE 331M Even
start. In the back straight CRAZY BEE
LADY was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. Entering the turn out of the back straight
CLASSIC CHA CHA shifted outwards to avoid the heels of GLORY ROSE. GALVO which was trailing shifted outwards
to avoid the heels of CLASSIC CHA CHA and raced wide around the turn. Entering the front straight CANDY CRUISE and
GLORY ROSE collided resulting in both runners to be checked. |

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NOVICE 331M MAGIC DANCE,
OUTBACK STORM and DIAMOND SAND were best to begin. Entering the back straight SMOOTH JAKE
contacted the heels of MAGIC DANCE resulting in that runner to be momentarily
hampered. Shortly after SMOOTH JAKE
bumped CITY HOPE resulting in that runner to be momentarily hampered. Entering the turn out of the back straight
CITY HOPE shifted inwards and collided with SMOOTH JAKE resulting in both
runners to be checked and lose ground.
NIFTY NEAGLE raced wide rounding the turn out of the back straight. Rounding the turn into the front straight
TORNEY and SWIFT LEAH collided resulting in both runners to be checked and
lose ground. |

tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. Entering the back straight CITY CRUISER was
tightened for racing room and checked.
Approaching the turn out of the back straight FRANKA was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
BLACKJACK BETTY which was racing to its outside and CITY CRUISER which
was trailing were both checked as a consequence. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
CITY CRUISER checked off heels and lost ground. FRANKA which was trailing shifted outwards
to avoid that runner’s heels. JOHN’S
LAST raced wide rounding the turn out of the back straight and into the front
straight. Entering the front straight
CITY MASTER contacted the hindquarters of JOHN’S LAST resulting in both
runners to be checked. |

with the exception of ONE IN SIX which was very slow to begin. Shortly after the start STORMEGEDDON was
tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. Through the first turn GRAND ANGEL was
tightened for racing room, severely checked and lost ground. STORMAGEDDON and OLD MOON MADNESS which
were trailing were checked as a consequence.
Entering the back straight GRAND ANGEL was tightened for racing room
and checked. Entering the turn out of
the back straight PERFECT LADY was tightened for racing room and momentarily
hampered. |

REIGN, ROSDUE SPRITE and REGAL HOPE were best to begin. Through the first turn SAY GOOD DAY and
FUNNY FELLOW were tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. Rounding the turn into the back straight
ROSDUE SPRITE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. WAIKARIE SHAZ which was trailing shifted
outwards to avoid that runner’s heels. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight MR. BANKS bumped ROSDUE SPRITE resulting in that runner to be
momentarily hampered and lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the back
straight FABULOUS HOPE and MR. BANKS bumped on several occasions resulting in
MR. BANKS to be hampered and lose ground. |

begin. Entering the first turn FLYING
TIGE and WALLOON SMARTIE were tightened for racing room and momentarily
hampered. Rounding the turn into the
back straight HANNAH JAY JAY and POPULAR BELIEF were tightened for racing
room, checked and lost ground. At the
same time LOGAN COUNTY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Through the turn into the
front straight WALLOON SMARTIE checked off heels and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight
PINK SUNSET and SAMURAI PIZZACAT bumped resulting in both runners to be
momentarily hampered. In the front
straight in the run to the finish PINK SUNSET and SAMURAI PIZZACAT bumped on
several occasions and were hampered as a result. |

GRADE 395M GUMTREE KID was marginally slow to begin. Rounding the turn into the back straight
EVIE’S ANGEL was tightened for racing room, severely checked and lost
ground. CALL ME AUSSIE and PLUM JAM
which were trailing were severely checked and lost ground as a
consequence. Entering the turn out of
the back straight PLUM JAM was tightened for racing room and momentarily
hampered. Rounding the turn into the
front straight GUMTREE KID was tightened for racing room and momentarily
hampered. Over the concluding stages
of the event AGRO’S THUNDER turned its head inwards and made muzzle contact
with ON TIGHT LINES. The greyhound EVIE’S ANGEL underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the back and was
stood down for a period of 7 days. Stewards advised trainer Mrs. J Cauchi that the greyhound
AGRO’S THUNDER would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd
offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks. |

GRADE 395M ELL’S ALL CLASS was best to begin with STOLE MY HEART
slowly away. Entering the first turn
HANNAH’S BELL was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. Through the first turn TUKULA was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Shortly after GOSHI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Entering the turn out of the
back straight STOLE MY HEART was tightened for racing room, severely checked
and lost ground. HANNAH’S BELL which
was trailling was severely checked and lost ground as a consequence. The greyhound TUKULA underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound JET READY underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GRADE 331M At the start HA HA CLASSY had its muzzle lodged within
the lids of the starting boxes and when opening and lifting the greyhound
upwards, had its start significantly affected. As a result the muzzle of HA HA CLASSY become
lodged within its mouth and raced erratically from the start and into the
back straight. During this action HA
HA CLASSY bumped FLASH GEE and BANG ON TARGET resulting in those runners to
be hampered. Entering the turn out of
the back straight WESTMEAD DAFFIE contacted the heels of WAR AT MIDNIGHT
resulting in that runner to be momentarily hampered. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
FLASH GEE, HA HA CLASSY and BANG ON TARGET raced tight resulting in FLASH GEE
and BANG ON TARGET to be checked and HA HA CLASSY to be severely checked and
lose ground. Rounding the turn into
the front straight BEST STRATEGY checked off heels. The ‘all clear’ signal was delayed to afford the stewards
the opportunity to review the footage with respect to the start of the
event. After reviewing the film,
stewards elected to declare HA HA CLASSY as a Non Starter under the
provisions of GAR 56(2)(b) whereby it had its chances in the race materially prejudiced
when its racing muzzle was caught within the lids of the starting boxes and
when opening had its start significantly affected. |

were trailing were checked as a consequence. |
