GREYHOUND SPORTING CLUB MAIDEN 395M MISS
THICKSHAKE was best to begin. In the 1st
turn general tightening resulted in interference to all runners excluding
MISS THICKSHAKE and TRENCH VAPOUR.
Shortly after, ACTUALIZE, VIKING RED and SUCCATASH were checked
causing SUCCATASH to lose ground and VALKYRIE BLUE that was following to be
inconvenienced. DYNAMITE PACE was also
hampered as a result. VALKYRIE BLUE
was wide entering the top turn. |

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE
APP MAIDEN 395M STETSON JESS and KULU CHANCE were marginally slow to
begin. FROSTY WITCH, BOGAN WARRIOR,
KULU CHANCE, SMASHNIAK CROWN and STETSON JESS were all hampered in the 1st
turn. Approaching the top turn FROSTY
WITCH was tightened and lost ground and STETSON JESS that was following was
severely checked as a result. BOGAN
WARRIOR was also inconvenienced as a result of this incident. Entering the home straight FROSTY WITCH
eased and took no further part in the event. The greyhound STETSON JESS underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound FROSTY WITCH underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. S. Galloway
that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st
offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 395m all tracks. |

LITTLE EDDIE, BACK ON TOP and KULU TUPPENCE collided causing BACK ON TOP to
lose ground. Leaving the 1st
turn COSMIC CRACKLE and THUNDER FURY collided. Entering the top turn LITTLE EDDIE checked
off heels and collided with KULU TUPPENCE causing both greyhounds to lose
significant ground. |

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NOVICE 395M ARBORSTONE was slow to begin. In the 1st turn SLICK GAMBLER,
KAGO, SMASHNIAK BULLET and REGAL TRAV raced tight and unbalanced and as a
result KAGO, SMASHNIAK BULLET and SLICK GAMBLER lost ground. ARBORSTONE, POSSESSION and GLORY ROSE that
were following were inconvenienced. In
the back straight GLORY ROSE checked off heels. Approaching the top turn ARBORSTONE checked
off heels and collided with GLORY ROSE and both greyhounds lost ground. In the top turn SMASHNIAK BULLET was
checked and lost ground. |

COMETRON FLYER was tightened for racing room and lost ground. MAY ROAD and SABANG collided entering the
home straight. The greyhound WERINA LIGHTNING underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

OPPORTUNE KNOCKA and PREMIER TEJAY were tightened and momentarily hampered. Leaving the 1st turn JOHN SAID
THIS checked off heels and lost ground.
In the back straight TYSON’S FANTASY and REGAL BILL collided and were
unbalanced. Approaching the top turn

GRADE FINAL 395M DORITO BENZ was best to begin. In the 1st turn CORY’S DIAMOND
checked off heels and collided with PREMIER FRED and INDIANA BENZ and all 3
greyhounds lost ground. DANCING SOLO that
was following was also inconvenienced.
Entering the top turn PREMIER FRED lost ground in clear running and
took no further competitive part in the event. MONTAIGNE and FROSTY FANTASY raced tight
entering the home straight. The greyhound PREMIER FRED underwent a post-race veterinary
examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip, and
was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

1 PHOTOGRAPHY BEST 8 395M BARRA TRIP, WINGS OF PERLITA and CROWN
EDDIE were best to begin. Shortly
after the start BARRA FUN, BOGIE LILLY and LETHAL KID bumped. In the 1st turn general
tightening resulted in interference to all runners excluding WINGS OF PERLITA
and BARRA TRIP and BARRA FUN, BOGIE LILLY and LETHAL KID all lost significant
ground as a result. In the top turn
BOGIE LILLY contacted the running rail and shifted out colliding with COSMO
BILL and both greyhounds were unbalanced. The greyhound BOGIE LILLY underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GRADE 395M LORD LACHLAN was best to begin while SPRING FIRECHIEF was
slow. In the 1st turn
GUMTREE KID, WIGGLE, MR. BANKS, LADY PERLITA and SPRING FIRECHIEF were all
tightened and lost ground. Entering
the top turn MR. BANKS was tightened and lost ground. As a result SPRING
FIRECHIEF that was following was forced to shift out, causing LADY PERLITA to
do the same, and both greyhounds raced wide through the turn. The greyhound GUMTREE KID underwent a post-race veterinary
examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hock, and
was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

GRADE 520M KNOCKA KNOCK was slow to begin. In the front straight VIKING BUDDY shifted
in hampering WAIKARIE SHAZ and KLOEIS PRIDE.
In the 1st turn KNOCKA KNOCK lost ground in clear running
and took no further competitive part in the event. HOOP DREAMS and ROXANNE BENZ raced tight in
the 1st turn. Approaching
the top turn ROXANNE BENZ was tightened and lost ground. Entering the home straight WHAT A MESS
checked off heels. The greyhound KNOCKER KNOCK underwent a post-race veterinary
examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back
muscle, and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

5th GRADE 395M HEARTLAND FLYER underwent a pre-race veterinary
examination and was found to be seasonal. The greyhound was declared a late
scratching from this event at 6:25PM. KULU ZORRO was slow to begin. In the 1st turn KULU ZORRO
checked off heels. Entering the back
straight KULU ZORRO was tightened and momentarily hampered. Shortly after, STORMAGEDDON and TREAGLE
TRIUMPH collided causing TREAGLE TRIUMPH to lose ground. COPPER MINER was wide in the back
straight. Entering the top turn JUST
FROSTY was tightened and lost ground and KULU ZORRO, NEAR YORK CITY and
COPPER MINER that were following were all inconvenienced. Leaving the top turn ARABIAN GO GO improved
onto the hindquarters of STORMAGEDDON and both greyhounds were severely checked
and lost ground. TREAGLE TRIUMPH that was following also severely
inconvenienced. The greyhound STORMAGEDDON underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
