GLASSHOUSE GREYHOUND SPORTING CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 1 395M

ALONSO BENZ was best to begin while REGAL LEN and IZY MAGIC were marginally slow.  At the start PIPE OF PEACE and ACTUALIZE collided causing PIPE OF PEACE to become unbalanced. Shortly after, BEECHMONT FLYER and IZY MAGIC were tightened as SUCCATASH shifted in.  Leaving the 1st turn FORGOT MY MOUSE checked off heels and colliding with PIPE OF PEACE and SUCCATASH and all 3 greyhounds became severely unbalanced and lost ground.  BEECHMONT FLYER that was following was inconvenienced.  In the back straight BEECHMONT FLYER checked off heels and was momentarily hampered.  In the top turn PIPE OF PEACE shifted out hampering SUCCATASH.  FORGOT MY MOUSE was wide entering the home straight.

GLORIA’S CHOICE and TRUTH PREVAILS were slow to begin.  In the 1st turn ZABDON MCGREGOR and FAKE NEWS were tightened and lost ground.  Entering the back straight GLORIA’S CHOICE checked off heels and lost ground.  Approaching the top turn GLORIA’S CHOICE and FAKE NEWS were tightened and became severely unbalanced and lost ground.

 

The greyhound FAKE NEWS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound GLORIA’S CHOICE underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind toe, and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 395M

BERRACH and COMETRON FLYER were best to begin while REGAL CYNDIE was slow.  Leaving the 1st turn GUNLEE GIRL and THIS IS LEGIT were hampered as STAR RING shifted out.  Entering the back straight BERRACH was tightened and lost significant ground.  As a result of BERRACH losing ground HAYVILLE GEORGE collided with this greyhound and was momentarily hampered.  Approaching the top turn GUNLEE GIRL was tightened and lost ground.  Approaching the finish BERRACH and GUNLEE GIRL collided and were unbalanced.

 

The greyhound BERRACH underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin, and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NOVICE 395M

JESS ROSE HI and REGAL WAZ were slow to begin.  In the 1st turn general tightening resulting in interference to all runners excluding SHOW BEKIM, causing SWIFT LEAH, SWIPE RIGHT, TIM AND NIEL, REGAL WAZ and JESS ROSE HI to lose ground to varying degrees.  Shortly after, LILY’S BEAN shifted out hampering SKIP TO IT.  IN the back straight SWIFT LEAH improved onto the heels of SWIPE RIGHT and both greyhounds were checked.  Entering the top turn REGAL WAZ checked off heels.

DORITO BENZ was best to begin.  In the 1st turn KULU ZORRO and COOKIE NO CREAM were tightened and lost ground.  OUR CAVALIER that was racing to the inside was also inconvenienced and COSMIC CRACKLE that was following was hampered.  Approaching the top turn STORMAGEDDON shifted in tightening OUR CAVALIER and both greyhounds were momentarily hampered.  Shortly after, STORMAGEDDON made contact with the running rail and became unbalanced.

 

The greyhound STORMAGEDDON underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 2 395M

BATTY LOVES BEER was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start ODESSA, REGAL BILL and WHEATACRE bumped and became unbalanced.  Leaving the 1st turn BATTY LOVES BEER and REGAL BILL were both tightened and lost ground.  In the back straight ODESSA was tightened and lost ground as BOGIE TEEJAY shifted in. GRAND ROSIE and ODESSA were wide in the home straight.

 

The greyhound ODESSA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 520M

SIGARLA and AUNTY FREDA were best to begin.  In the front straight LION’S BLUE checked off heels and was momentarily hampered.  Shortly after, HOOP DREAMS was tightened and lost ground.  Entering the 1st turn LION’S BLUE and VALKYRIE CANDY came together and as a result raced wide through the turn.

 

The greyhound VALKYRIE CANDY underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near side wrist, and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY BEST 8 395M

HOPE’S MAGIC was best to begin.  Shortly after the start POWER JET and LETHAL KID were tightened and lost ground.  In the 1st turn CHULU CHULULU, PEBBLE BAY, MAHAILIA and CROWN EDDIE collided causing PEBBLE BAY to become unbalanced and lose ground.  POWER JET that was following was inconvenienced.  Entering the top turn CROWN EDDIE and CHULU CHULULU raced tight and bumped.  In the top turn CHULU CHULULU was tightened and momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound CHULU CHULULU underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BRISGREYS.COM @ STUD 5th GRADE HEAT 3 395M

FANCY BENZ and STAR BILLING were best to begin.  In the 1st turn POWER OF PENNY, COPPER MINER and QUICK AND LIVELY collided and were hampered causing COPPER MINER to lose ground.  Entering the back straight FANCY BENZ improved onto the heels of STAR BILLING and both greyhounds were checked.  CAPTAIN’S KNOCK that was following was consequently forced to shift out.  COPPER MINE was wide in the back straight.  Entering the top turn QUICK AND LIVELY was tightened and momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound COPPER MINER underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin, and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

UBET – THE NEW TAB 5th GRADE HEAT 4 395M

TEE BE GOOD and SPARK YOU UP were slow to begin.  In the 1st turn WITHCOTT FLYER and DANCING SOLO were tightened and lost ground.  Shortly after, TEE BE GOOD checked off heels.  DANCING SOLO was wide through the top turn.  Approaching the top turn TEE BE GOOD and ELL’S ALL CLASS bumped and were momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound TEE BE GOOD underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned on the greyhound’s performance trainer Mr. J. Aylward stated that he was confident in the greyhound’s chances in this event. He noted that on this occasion that the greyhound did not begin well from the boxes, which is in contrast to its usual form in its short race career to date. Mr. Aylward believed that the greyhound’s slow start affected its chances throughout the run and exposed the greyhound to more interference throughout the run.  He further advised that the greyhound is nominated to race this Sunday over the distance of 395m at Albion Park, and undertook to inform stewards should anything come to light with the greyhound in the coming days.

ORPHAN ANNIE and GALLANT EXPLORER were marginally slow to begin.  In the 1st turn MEMPHIS and REGAL TRAV were tightened and lost ground and I’M GLAD was also hampered as a result.

 

The greyhound MEMPHIS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB 5th GRADE HEAT 6 395M

KULU PYSCHO and SHAKEY TANGO were best to begin while HEADGEAR and JOHNNY THE FOX were slow.  In the 1st turn KULU PYSHCO, CORY’S DIAMOND and OLVER BENZ were tightened.  As a result FREE SPIRIT and CAPRA ROSS which were racing to the outside were inconvenienced.  In the top turn CORY’S DIAMOND shifted out and CAPRA ROSS was momentarily hampered as a result.  In the top turn OLIVER BENZ and HEADGEAR both checked off heels.

 

The greyhound CAPRA ROSS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned on the greyhound’s performance trainer Mr. J. Geoghegan noted that CAPRA ROSS suffered interference throughout the race that affected its chances.  He further stated that in his opinion the greyhound is better suited over the 520m and his plans are to enter the greyhound into the National heats in the coming month.

 

The greyhound KULU PHYSCHO underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip, and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
