performance, particularly over the concluding stages of the race, trainer Mr.
R. Burman stated that he expected a forward showing from the greyhound in
this event and was confident in its chances.
He could provide no tangible explanation as to why the greyhound
failed to run the distance strongly aside from the fact that it hadn’t run
over 600m for some time. Mr. Burman eluded
to the fact that the greyhound did receive some tightening in the turn into
the home straight. Following this
performance Mr. Burman was unsure as to where he would enter this greyhound
in the coming weeks, though undertook to inform Stewards should anything come
to light with SMART MARLOW in the coming days. The greyhound MY SPRITE underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
