The greyhound TUBBY TURNER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned over the performance of the greyhound trainer Ms. S Lawrance said the greyhound had returned to racing after suffering a viral infection and had trialled well leading up to the today’s race.  Whilst she acknowledged the greyhound tired over the concluding stages she said that her expectations was that it would improve with further racing and would be able to finish the 520m distance.
