TRIALS

Stewards Trial 1 – 600m

The greyhound JALAPENO performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 600m in a time of 35.12 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound JUST SPIFFING performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 600m in a time of 35.24 and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane until after 10 January 2018.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M

SPIN THAT WHEEL was best to begin.  All greyhounds with the exception of SPIN THAT WHEEL and SOMERVILLE came together and checked immediately after the start with ALPHA PHOEBE tightened for racing room causing it to lose ground.  Leaving the 1st turn APACHE VALLEY and GET MESSI checked and lost ground.  ALPHA PHOEBE who was trailing was hampered as a result.  Leaving the turn into the front straight PETITE FAWN was tightened for racing room causing it to come into contact with the running rail and lose ground.

 

The greyhound PETITE FAWN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 0 – 3 WINS 600M

SHOW ME JAKEY and KULU TUPPENCE were both best to begin.  SORRENTO was slow.  Leaving the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion WAZZA QUEEN and IZY GOLD raced tight and checked losing ground.  SHOW ME JAKEY and PLANE SPOTTER checked at the turn into the back straight causing SHOW ME JAKEY to lose ground.  SORRENTO was impeded by SHOW ME JAKEY leaving the turn into the home straight.

 

The greyhound SHOW ME JAKEY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards questioned trainer Mr. V Osborn about the performance of SHOW ME JAKEY. When questioned  Mr. Osborn stated that the greyhound had run to its ability and he had not supported it. He further stated that moving forward he will race the greyhound at Ipswich from this point on as in his opinion that’s where it performs best.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5th GRADE 331M

Even start with the exception of EBONY SANDS, FANTASIA LEE and HUBCAP WILLY which were all marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn NEDGO PRINCESS was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  FANTASIA LEE which was trailing was hampered as a result.  EBONY SANDS and ON THE RIZE raced tight and bumped leaving the turn into the front straight.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB 4/5th GRADE 395M

Even start with the exception of RED JUMPER which was marginally slow.  Shortly after the start KLOEIS PRIDE, MAKE TODAY COUNT and BILL’S SPECIAL came together and checked causing MAKE TODAY COUNT and BILL’S SPECIAL to be tightened for racing room and lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight SIVAMET was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  BILL’S SPECIAL and RAMBLIN’ ROSE who were trailing collided into SIVAMET causing both BILL’S SPECIAL and RAMBLIN’ ROSE to lose significant ground.  KLOEIS PRIDE shifted in just prior to the finish causing SIVAMET to be impeded and lose ground.

 

The greyhound BILL’S SPECIAL underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GUNNA WINK was best to begin.  Shortly after the start KNOCKER KNOCK was tightened for racing room causing it to become unbalanced and lose ground.  Leaving the 1st turn GADSBY’S ROAD checked off heels and lost ground.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M

THROTTLE ON and SPARKLE LASS were both best to begin.  KULU HIPSTER and BIG TURLS were slow away.  Approaching the 1st turn SYMPATHETIC checked off heels then fell and took no further competitive part in the race as a result.  KULU HIPSTER and BIG TURLS who were trailing were severely impeded as a result and lost significant ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight EMMA’S MAGIC shifted out and checked SPARKLE LASS causing that greyhound to lose ground.

 

The greyhound SYMPATHETIC underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M

SHE’S INYA FACE and VELOCITY CHARM were both best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn KULU JASPER and UNIQUE KALEESI raced tight and bumped on occasion.  Shortly after SENOR’S HEIR and UNIQUE KALEESI checked.  Approaching the top turn SENOR’S HEIR was tightened for racing room and lost ground.

 

The greyhound SENOR’S HEIR underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

FB.COM/BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE HEAT 3520M

DUDE PERFECT, SULTAN OF RUM and MISS AMELIA were all best to begin.  REGAL CYNDIE was slow.  Approaching the 1st turn DUDE PERFECT shifted out and checked into MISS BECKY SAM and REGAL CYNDIE which then became unbalanced and raced wide losing any competitive chance in the race thereafter.  Leaving the turn into the back straight KLOMPUS improved onto the hindquarters of KULU EAGLE causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE 395M

Even start.  General tightening in the 1st turn resulted in GOTCHA MONEY to check off heels and lose ground.  Shortly after WAIKARIE SYLVIE and BLACK KOALA raced tight with BLACK KOALA becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  Leaving the turn into the home straight REGAL WAZ and JAZZ MINE collided resulting in JAZZ MINE to become unbalanced and lose ground.  Just prior to the finish WAIKARIE SYLVIE checked off heels becoming severely unbalanced and lost significant ground.

 

The greyhound WAIKARIE SYLVIE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

UBET – THE NEW TAB 5th GRADE 395M

FOLLOW THE DUK was best to begin.  SPRITELY BILL was slow.  Approaching the 1st turn ON TIGHT LINES and SPRITELY BILL raced tight and checked.  In the front straight ON TIGHT LINES shifted in causing ARREBA to be impeded and to become unbalanced losing ground.
