The greyhound FLYING COMET performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.84 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

 

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M

Was an even start. In the front straight on first occasion, MINNIE FLASH and SUPER CESC collided on a number of occasions.  MINNIE FLASH race wide around the turn out of the front straight and again into the back straight.  KULU COSMO and SUPER CESC collide.

2.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NOVICE 520M

SMALL JEWEL and IRON MAID were best to begin.  CHIPPIES was slow to begin.  CHIPPIES raced wide rounding the turn out of the front straight.

 

When questioned over performance of NO VIS.  Trainer Ms. C Suttle, informed the Stewards that she was disappointed with the greyhound’s effort over the later stages of the race and it would be her intention not to start NO VISA over the 520m in the near future.

 

The greyhound CHIPPIES underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5th GRADE 395M

Even start with the exception of INTERACTION which was marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start ELOISE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Through the first turn NAMROD and CELESTIAL SELENE were both tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. ELOISE which was trailing was checked as a consequence. ELOISE raced wide in the back straight. Entering the front straight MAKING WAVES and INTERACTION collided.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB 4/5th GRADE 395M

Even start.  Shortly after the start REGAL TRAV and ENJOY THE SHOW bumped.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight CALL ME AUSSIE shifted out which hampered the running of CHANEL BENZ.

 

When questioned over the performance of ENJOY THE SHOW trainer, Mr T Apap said that he was disappointed with the overall performance of the greyhound although it was having its first start since 13th of April 2017.  He said that the ENJOY THE SHOW had trialled successfully at Ipswich over 431m and was expecting it to race well in tonight’s event.  He stated that he will trial the greyhound before it races again and will not start it till he is satisfied that it would race in the desired manner.

 

The greyhound ENJOY THE SHOW underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start. In the front straight on the first occasion, REGAL CYNDIE, FLYAWAY BARB and ACTUALIZE all raced tight, resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Shortly after SPARKLE LASS and IZY GOLD collide causing both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight PRATTER’S SAINT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.   ACTUALIZE which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE 520M

Even start. Shortly after the start POLLYS MAID slipped on the mat and lost considerable ground.  BARBERA BENZ raced wide for the majority of the race.  Entering the back straight POLLYS MAID improved on the hind quarters of KULU JASPER causing that greyhound to be severely checked form and take no further part in the race.

SKY RACING 4/5th GRADE 600M

KULU TUPENCE and LIL MACIE BREEZE were best to begin. Rounding the turn into the front straight on first occasion PLANE SPOTTER and ORBIT THE SUN collided on a number of occasions.  JACKIE’S LADY raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight on the first occasion.

Even start.  PEEBLE BAY and KULU EAGLE both commence to give ground rounding the turn out of the front straight.

 

The greyhound KULU EAGLE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. J Clarson that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks prior to nominating.

BRISGREYS.COM 3/4h GRADE 520M

Even start.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight, KNOCKER KNOCK and RICHMOND ROAD collided.  Entering the back straight KNOCKER KNOCK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  COOL VANE commenced to give ground in the back straight.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight RICHMOND ROAD was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight KULU RUSTY and RICHMOND ROAD collide resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound RICHMOND ROAD underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start.  Entering the back straight SEIZED ASSET and BEST STRATEGY were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after BLOZA was  tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight OWN GOAL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.
