DELAYED BY ONE HOUR (FIRST RACE COMMENCED AT 6.10PM) IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE HEAT
POLICY, AS PREDICTED TEMPERATURE WOULD RISE TO 36 DEGREES IN BRISBANE.

DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 331m BLACKPEARL
GIRL was marginally slow to begin.
SKYLIGHT BELLE was slow. Approaching the 1st turn, WANT SOME CAKE
shifted in causing IMA TIPPA TOO and BELLA’S SPECIAL to be tightened for
racing room and check, losing significant ground as a result. Leaving the turn into the front straight,
SKYLIGHT BELLE was tightened for racing room and momentarily impeded causing
it to check off heels. BLACK PEARL GIRL and BELLA’S SPECIAL raced
wide in the front straight. The greyhound
IMA TIPPA TOO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB
MAIDEN 331M BETTY’S SUN and FEAR NANCY were both best to begin. In the back straight SHADOWLAND was
tightened for racing room, causing it to momentarily make contact with the
running rail. At the same time, HAY
TRAVY was hampered. Shortly after
MASTER BULLET improved onto the rear of LOWOOD DUCK, causing both greyhounds
to become unbalanced and fall. SHADOWLAND, HAY TRAVY and JAKEY BOY which were
trailing, checked into those greyhounds causing all to lose ground to
differing degrees. The greyhound SHADOWLAND underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. . The greyhound MASTER BULLET underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound LOWOOD DUK underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GARRARD’S
HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN FINAL 331M POLSTEN was slow to begin. FEAR ROBERT, POLSTEN and FAKE NEWS were
tightened for racing room after the start.
Approaching the 1st turn FAKE NEWS stumbled causing it to become
unbalanced. POLSTEN who was trailing
collided into that greyhound and both lost considerable ground and any
further competitive chance in the race as a result. Approaching the turn to the front straight
KYEEKY and JET BLACK START raced tight and wide. In the front straight JET BLACK STAR was
momentarily impeded and shifted in as a result. The greyhound FAKE NEWS underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD MAIDEN 331M Even start.
Shortly after GIVE ME CREDIT was tightened for race room and lost
ground. The entire field apart from
GIVE ME CREDIT raced tight at the 1st turn with STORY OF US stumbling, then
falling and took no further part in the race.
Leaving the turn out of the back straight, CLOVER FANTASY checked off
the heels and shifted out impeding CATCH M KEITH and HONG HA as it did. The greyhound STORY OF US underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

@ BRISGREYS NOVICE 395M CHEVALEIR NUIT and OUR CHALLENGE were both best to
begin. ON TIGHT LINES was marginally
slow away. At the 1st turn, SPRING
RUNNER checked off heels and then checked with BETTER SIZE causing both
greyhounds to lose considerable ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight OUR CHALLENGE was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and
lost significant ground. Leaving the
turn into the home straight, BETTER SIZE was momentarily impeded and shifted
out as a result. The greyhound OUR CHALLENGE underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

WHITHCOTT HOTEL 5TH GRADE 395M RAPID BLAZE was slow to begin. At the 1st turn KING DIESEL ran onto the
hind quarters of SPRING CHICKIE and stumbled becoming unbalanced and lost significant
ground along with SPRING CHICKIE. MR. BELEVEDERE who was trailing was checked
also lost considerable ground as a result of that contact. In the turn out of the back straight KING
DIESEL was impeded and lost momentum as a result. SPRING CHICKIE shifted in and impeded KING
DIESEL prior to the finish. The greyhound KING DIESEL underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

395M PINK IMPACT was slow to begin. At the first turn LALIQUE checked off heels
and lost ground. ALOTA DAGZ and PINK
IMPACT raced wide out of the turn into the front straight. NAUGHTY MAX was impeded and shifted out
just prior to the finish. |

1 PHOTGRAPHY MIXED 3/4 395M Even start. The entire field raced
tight into the 1st turn with SPLENDID STAR, MOMENT TO SHINE and
EDGE FOREVER tightened for racing room and losing ground as a result. Shortly after LUCKY SALLY checked off heels
and then checked into BETTA BE RIGHT, resulting in both greyhounds losing
ground. Leaving the back straight BETTA BE RIGHT checked off heels and became
unbalanced. SPLENDID STAR checked off
heels leaving the turn into the front straight and lost ground. |

GRADE 331M FOLLOW THE DUCK was best to begin. Leaving the 1st turn into the back straight
FLYING PRINCESS stumbled then fell, taking no further competitive part in the
race. SPICE BUCKET which was trailing
was hampered by this and lost ground as a result. Leaving the turn into the front straight
FABRIQUE was impeded and shifted out wide.
CHILLED HEAT and FABRIQUE raced tight over the concluding stages of
the race. The greyhound FLYING PRINCESS underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound SPICE BUCKET underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound
REGAL LEN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and found to have
suffered an injury to the off hind toe and was stood down for a period of 28
days. |

GRADE 331M PINK COLLISION was best to begin. ROSIE KNOCKS was marginally slow away. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight ROSIE KNOCKS checked off heels and lost ground. Just after, BLACK OSPREY stumbled and
became unbalanced as a result. The greyhound DEE WASHINGTON underwent a pre-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound BLACK OSPREY underwent a pre-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound
ROSIE KNOCKS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and found to have
suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period
of 10 days. |

GRADE 331M FLYING MAXINE was marginally slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight STAR BILLING checked off heels and lost ground. Approaching the turn
into the front straight, FLYING MAXINE checked off heels and lost
ground. Leaving the turn into the front
straight JOE ECLAT was impeded and shifted wide as a result. Stewards spoke to Mr G Friend, about the performance of
his greyhound STAR BILLING. Mr Friend’s response was that the long travel and
the high temperatures may have been to the detriment of his greyhound and
possibly contributed to its performance. The greyhound STAR BILLING underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
