ALPHA VALENTINE was best to begin.  ROSDUE LEON was slow.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight KULU BAZZA checked off heels and lost ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight KULU OZZIE stumbled slightly and became unbalanced as a result.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 2 395M

EMPIRE STATE was best to begin.  ROSDUE BARISTA and JOKER JOKER were both marginally slow.  Leaving the turn into the front straight JOKER JOKER checked off heels and shifted wide as a result.  KULU TURKEY and JOKER JOKER raced tight and bumped on occasion prior to the finish.

 

The greyhound JOKER JOKER underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

MAY ROAD and HAPPY MAIL were both best to begin.  At the turn into the back straight QUICK STORY was tightened for racing room then checked off heels and lost ground as a result.  QUICK STORY raced wide in the back straight and continued to race wide for the remainder of the race.

WHIPPY MIDGET was best to begin.  Approaching the first turn, WHIPPY MIDGET was tightened for racing room.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 395M

LALIQUE was slow to begin.  Approaching the turn leaving the back straight NOTORIOUS HERO improved onto the rear of CLASSY SPRITE causing it to lose considerable ground as a result.  LALIQUE which was trailing, was impeded as a result. 

 

The greyhound CLASSY SPRITE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

WITHCOTT HOTEL 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 5TH GRADE 395M

ROSDUE SPRITE was best to begin.  GLORIA’S CHOICE and TINY TIARA were both marginally slow away.  Leaving the turn into the back straight SALUDOS was tightened for racing room and checked off heels, losing ground as a result.  Shortly after GUDERA SPITFIRE checked off heels and lost ground.  SALUDOS which was trailing, was impeded and shifted wide.  BRAVE ULYSSES raced wide through the turn into the front straight and for the remainder of the race thereafter.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MIXEC 3/4

HARA’S HOOK was marginally slow to begin.  The entire field raced tight at the 1st turn with SIMPLY MAGIC and DANCING SOLO checking off heels and losing ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, CAPTAIN’S KNOCK checked off heels and lost ground.  PINATA and CAPTAIN’S KNOCK raced tightly into the turn into the front straight causing CAPTAIN’S KNOCK to become unbalanced and lose ground.

STUEY, BARRA FUN and ALBURY WAY were all best to begin.  WINGS OF PERLITA was slow.  Leaving the turn into to the back straight, KOORINGA THEO checked off heels and lost ground.  In the back straight, ALBURY WAY was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Shortly after, ALBURY WAY shifted out and checked with KOORINGA THEO causing both to lose considerable ground.  STUEY and TUBBY TURNER raced wide through the turn out of the back straight.

ON THE RISE was best to begin.  LETHAL KID was marginally slow.  Leaving the turn into the front straight HIGH CLASS BELLE stumbled and became unbalanced.  Shortly after LETHAL KID improved onto the hind quarters of CIA KAHN causing LETHAL KID to stumble and shift wide losing significant ground as a result.

 

The greyhound LETHAL KID underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

ANOTHER RED and NEXT were slow to begin and checked immediately after the start losing ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight GOLDEN MANNERS checked off heels and lost ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight MISS THICKSHAKE and NEXT checked.

 

The greyhound GOLDEN MANNERS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
