SPLENDID STAR was wide. Entering the
back straight, WHEATACRE and RICHMOND ROAD collide. Entering the turn into the home straight,
SMART MARLOW turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with RUSTY’S
IMAGE causing RUSTY’S IMAGE to check JAY BAY causing that greyhound to race
wide in the home straight. The greyhound WHEATACRE underwent a post race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. R. Burman that the greyhound
SMART MARLOW would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days
plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. |
