TRIALS

Stewards’ Trial 1

The greyhound TAHLIA’S WAY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.28 and is now passed to race all tracks.

 

The greyhound VELOCITY LINDER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.55 and is now cleared to start all tracks.

 

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN (2) 395M

Even start.  KULU LIGHTNING and ROSDUE LEON bumped as the start was effected.  BLITZEN LEE crossed from the wide position shortly after the start, resulting in interference to KULU TURKEY, ROSDUE LIVE WIRE and ROSDUE BARISTA.  KULU OZZIE checked off EXTRA ROYAL and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  KULU TURKEY checked off BLITZEN LEE and lost ground on the turn into the back straight, causing interference to ROSDUE BARISTA.  ROSDUE LIVE WIRE and KULU OZZIE bumped in the back straight, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.  KULU LIGHTNING and EXTRA ROYAL bumped on the turn into the front straight. 

 

The greyhound KULU TURKEY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS NOVICE (2) 395M

The start of the race was delayed 1.30 minutes due to interstate thoroughbred racing.

GO RUBY GO and SHADOWLAND were the best to begin.  TIARA GLOW was slow to begin.  NINNIE NEGRONI faltered on the turn into the back straight, and lost ground.  ABSOLUTELY FAB checked off the heels of LET’S GO FABIO and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in interference to MISS WILDWEST.  ABSOLUTELY FAB checked off the heels LET’S GO FABIO and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  ALPHA RHEA checked off ABSOLUTELY FAB and lost ground prior to turning into the front straight.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 5TH GRADE (1) 395M

Even start, with BETTY FAY slow to begin.  CAPTAIN’S KNOCK and COOKIE NO CREAM bumped shortly after the start, resulting in both greyhounds suffering some inconvenience.   MAKO MAC was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn into the back straight, resulting in some interference to DO THAT PHOEBEE.  BEST STRATEGY raced wide into the back straight.  BEST STRATEGY, CAPTAIN’S KNOCK and DO THAT PHOEBEE raced wide in the front straight.                                                                                                                                                                                

 

The greyhound DO THAT PHOEBEE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE (1) 395M

Even start, with INTERACTION and VELOCITY ZARIN slow to begin.  CIA KAHN was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn into the back straight, resulting in interference to BIG STINK.  Shortly after VELOCITY ZARIN checked off the heels of BIG STINK and lost ground.  BIG STINK checked across the heels of OPPORTUNE KNOCKA and lost ground prior to entering the back straight.  CIA KAHN raced wide in the back straight.  CALL ME AUSSIE and PRATER’S RECRUIT bumped on the turn into the front straight, resulting in PRATER’S RECRUIT becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

5.

WITHCOTT HOTEL 5TH GRADE (3) 395M

Even start.  General tightening occurred on the turn into the back straight, resulting in the majority of the field being tightened and losing ground, with the exception of COSMIC REX.  TRUTH PREVAILS raced wide in the back straight.  ANOTHER RED and PERFECT MUM bumped on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in some inconvenience to both greyhounds.  COSMIC REX raced wide into the home straight.  PRATER’S PROMISE shifted out in the front straight, causing some inconvenience to GUDERA SPITFIRE.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5TH GRADE (4) 395M

Even start, with CIANNA’S ANGEL slow to begin, and SAY GOOD DAY also slow to begin.  MISS OSPREY checked off GUDERA KITTYHAWK and lost ground in the turn into the back straight.  Shortly after, GUDERA KITTYHAWK was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  MISS OSPREY and SAY GOOD DAY raced wide in the home straight.

Even start with HACIENDA and VEGAS BOY slow to begin.  NOTORIOUS HERO checked off HACIENDA and lost some ground prior to entering the back straight.

Even start.  NEVER A DOUBT checked off DASY OLIVIA and lost ground on the turn into the back straight, causing interference to TUBBY TURNER.  ACE was tightened for racing room and lost ground prior to entering the back straight.  COMETRON FLYER raced wide in the back straight.  NEVER A DOUBT and TUBBY TURNER bumped prior to turning out of the back straight.  COMETRON FLYER raced wide in the home straight.

SKY RACING 4TH GRADE 395M

The start of this race was delayed by 2 minutes due to interstate harness racing.

 

RAMBLIN’ ROSE was the best to begin.  COSMO CYNDIE was slow to begin.  MY AWESOME MAGIC checked off LETHAL KID and lost ground on the turn into the back straight, resulting in some interference to SOLO DANCER.  COSMO CYNDIE raced wide in the back straight.  LETHAL KID and IRON MONARCH raced wide in home straight.

THE MANLY HOTEL MIXED 4/5 331M

JOIE ECLAT was best to begin.  DRAGON BORN and SPRING CHICKIE were slow to begin.  DRAGON BORN stumbled, shortly after the start, and lost ground.  SPRING CHICKIE checked off JOIE ECLAT and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight, resulting in interference with DRAGON BORN.  HESA REBEL and FANTASTIC RUFF raced wide on the turn out of the back straight.  JOIE ECLAT and WIGGLE bumped on the turn into the home straight, resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.  SPRING CHICKIE checked across the heels of WIGGLE and became unbalanced on the turn into the home straight, resulting in interference to DRAGON BORN.  FANTASTIC RUFF shifted out to race wide in the home straight, bumping HESA REBEL causing that greyhound some inconvenience.  SPRING CHICKIE checked off the heels of HESA REBEL and lost ground prior to the finish line.
