SUNSET, performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over a distance of 520m and
is cleared to race all tracks. Stewards Trial 2 The greyhound,
MARITANA, performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over a distance of 395m
and is cleared to race all tracks. |

DOWNLOAD THE APP MIXED 4/5 600M Stewards
held the all clear up to review the film. Even
start, with SORRENTO marginally slow.
Round the turn into the home straight, BOGAN FLYER and ORBIT THE SUN
bumped. |

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD
MAIDEN 520M Even start with LAYBACK LENNY, DOUBLE TAKE and POWDER
marginally slow. Shortly after the
start LAYBACK LENNY was tightened for racing room and lost ground. In the 1st turn MINNIE FLASH,
GALWAY PANTER, POWDER and DOUBLE TAKE all race tight, resulting in all
greyhounds to lose ground. In the
front straight BOGAN WARRIOR and BACK OFF collided causing BOGAN WARRIOR to
lose ground. The greyhound POWDER underwent a post race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound
BOGAN WARRIOR underwent a post race veterinary examination and found to have
suffered an injury to the off back muscle and was stood down for a period of
7 days. |

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY NOVICE 520M Even start with BOGAN BELLE and
BARBARELLA marginally slow. In the
turn out of the back straight, BARBARELLA clipped heels and was
hampered. Entering the home straight,
ITCHY FINGER and BOGAN BELLE collided, causing BARBARELLA to be checked
resulting in BARBARELLA and ITCHY FINGER to lose ground. The greyhound BARBARELLA
underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found. Stewards questioned Mr Garry Gilbert on the performance of his
greyhound where he stated that he didn’t expect to win with recent form and
he did not support the greyhound. |

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB 5TH GRADE (1) 395M Even start. In the 1st turn TEAM JARVIS and
STANKY LEG bumped. Entering the back
straight, SPRING CHICKIE clipped heels and lost ground. In the back straight, SPRING CHICKIE,
STANKY LEG collided on numerous occasions and both greyhounds lost
ground. In the front straight, BEST STRATEGY
and STANKY LEG bumped, causing both greyhounds to be hampered. |

turn HITCHIKER DUDE shifted out colliding with IZY GOLD causing both
greyhounds to lose ground. Entering
the back straight, ALLPA MAMA clipped heels and lost ground. In the front straight, VANERWEGHE and RED
VEE bumped. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE HEAT 2
520M Race 6 all clear was delayed so Stewards’ could review
the film. Even start.
Shortly after the start FIRST FIRE was tightened for racing room and
lost ground. Approaching the 1st
turn BERGAMO and RULE THE ROAD collided, causing SULTAN OF RUM and HARA’S SAM
to be checked, resulting HARA’S SAM and SULTAN OF RUM to lose ground. Round the turn into the back straight,
PONCERELLO and BERGAMO bumped. Leaving
the turn into the back straight, BERGAMO shifted out, turned his head
outwards making muzzle contact with IRON MONARCH, resulting in both greyhounds
to lose significant ground. The greyhound
IRON MONARCH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to
have suffered an injury to the off fore toe nail and was stood down for a
period of 14 days. Stewards
advised trainer, Mr T Zammit, the greyhound BERGAMO would be charged under
Rule 69 Marring, 1st Offence, 28 days and greyhound must perform a
satisfactory stewards’ trial, 520m all tracks. |

SKY RACING 5TH
GRADE HEAT 3 520M Even start,with JONESY slow. Shortly after the start MY GLORIOUS GAL was
tightened for racing room and hampered.
Rounding the turn into the back straight, BILLY BOY clipped heels and
was hampered. Round the turn into the
home straight, MY GLORIOUS GAL, GET SHORTY and JONESY collided, causing all
greyhounds to lose ground. In the
front straight, JONESY got on the hind quarters of DANCING SOLO, causing both
greyhounds to lose ground. The greyhound DANCING SOLO underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

MIXED 3/4 395M Even start. In the 1st turn JURY, OKA’S
ANGEL and CORY’S DIAMOND collided, causing JOHN SAID THIS and RICHMOND ROAD
to be checked and all greyhounds to lose ground. Into the back straight, JURY and OKA’S
ANGEL collided, causing JURY to lose ground.
In the back straight, SWIZZLESTICK and JOHN SAID THIS bumped, causing
JOHN SAID THIS to lose ground. Rounding
the turn into the home straight, SWIZZLESTICK and RICHMOND ROAD both clipped
heels and lost ground. The greyhound JURY underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards
questioned trainer Mr Tony Brett on the performance of the greyhound which he
stated that JURY had be off for a few months with a significant injury and
this was the first start back, this isn’t the preferred distance and received
significant interference in the race. |

1st turn, SIVAMET and MILLION DOLLAR tightened and were
hampered. Leaving the back straight,
SIVAMET clipped heels and lost ground.
In the back straight, BLOZA raced wide. The greyhound ROAD SCHOLAR underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
