SHE’S THE ROAD was best to begin with GALWAY BLUEBIRD marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, SMILING BLONDE was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, COMBAL ZERO go onto the hindquarters of MR. LEO causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  At the same time, DIAMOND WINX clipped heels, shifted out and was hampered.  In the front straight, MR. LEO was wide.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 2 – 331M

FAKE NEWS was best to begin with LAURASH ACTION slow.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, BOGAN LAD and BLACK DRATTA collided causing both greyhounds to be hampered.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, CLICK COWAN and BOGAN LAD bumped.  In the front straight, LAURASH ACTION, CLICK COWAN and BOGAN LAD collided, causing all greyhounds to lose ground.  Approaching the finish line, HAY WILLIAM and PEGGALICIOUS bumped.

PINK GEITZ was best to begin with VIENNA CALLING slow.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, CLOVER FANTASY and DRUID PRINCE bumped, causing both greyhounds to be hampered.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, AL BUZZARD and PINK GEITZ bumped.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 5TH GRADE 91) – 331M

NAUGHTY MAX was best to begin, with VINAKA FIJI marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, VINAKA FIJI clipped heels and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, SHE’S MY LADY got onto the hind quarters of OSPREY STAR, resulting in VINAKA FIJI and DAY TIME FRIEND to be checked and all greyhounds to lose ground.  

 

Stewards’ questioned trainer, Mr T Hickson, in relation to VINAKA FIJI’s performance, where he stated that the greyhound had not trialled before at this track, while he trained it, and the greyhound needs to lead to win.  He also stated that he did not support the greyhound.

The greyhound VINAKA FIJI underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

TWITTER @ BRISGREYS 5TH GRADE (2) – 331M

JET BLACK STAR and ARABELLA EMJAY were best to begin DIAMOND SAND marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, DIAMOND SAND and LA BELLA MIMI bumped, at the same time MARITANA clipped heels and lost ground.  Rounding  the turn into the home straight, BLACK OSPREY and TOOK A TRIP bumped.

 

Stewards’ questioned licenced trainer, Ms L Williams, on the performance of MARITANA, where Ms Williams said that she didn’t expect the greyhound to win in this field, and that she hadn’t supported the greyhound.

The greyhound JET BLACK STAR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

6.

WHITHCOTT HOTEL 4TH GRADE – 395M

Race 6 was delayed by 2 minutes because of a Redcliffe Harness Race.

 

Even start, with ODESSA and PINK IMPACT slow.  In the 1st turn, PINK AXLE, ODESSA, CHEVALEIR NUIT and FLYING PRINCESS collided, causing all greyhounds to lose ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, PINK AXLE and CHEVALEIR NUIT collide, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Entering the front straight, FLYING PRINCESS and PINK AXLE collide, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the front straight, PINK IMPACT was wide.

 

The greyhound PINK AXLE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near wrist and was stood down for a period of 14days.

EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS MIXED 3/4 – 395M

Even start.  Shortly after the start, COSMIC TRAV and MEMPHIS were both tightened for racing room and were hampered.  In the back straight, JIGGLE SPLAT clipped heels, shifted out and checked RAPID EXPLOSION, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, COSMIC ELITE clipped heels checking COSMO TRAV, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Into the front straight, COSMIC ELITE and RAPID EXPLOSION collided, both were hampered.  In the front straight, PINK COLLISION was wide.

 

The greyhound INNER WISDOM underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound PINK COLLISION underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

Even start, with REGAL BILL marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, GUTENBERG, FREE SPIRIT, EVIE’S ANGEL, REGAL BILL and HA HA CLASSY collided, causing all greyhounds to lose ground at differing degrees.  Entering the back straight, FREE SPIRIT shifted out and collided with HA HA CLASSY on numerous occasions, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

 

The greyhound FREE SPIRIT underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BRISGREYS.COM MIXED 3/4  - 331M

LADY OLIVIA was best to begin, with NO SHOW JONES marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, NOAKI FLYER was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, NO SHOW JONES got on the hind quarters of NOAKI FLYER causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground.  Into the front straight, GRAND ROSIE clipped heels, shifted out and lost ground.

UBET – THE NEW TAB 5TH GRADE (1) – 395M

Even start.  Shortly after the start JOHN SAID THIS, PINK SUNSET and IRONBAR RICKY collided, causing PINK SUNSET to lose ground and JOHN SAID THIS and IRONBAR RICKY to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into back straight, BLACK SHARK clipped heels and was hampered.  In the front straight, JOHN SAID THIS was wide.

AERIAL DYNAMITE was best to begin.  In the 1st turn, SIGARLA, SLICK GAMBLER, DOUBLE OAK and SAY ABRACADABRA collided, causing all greyhounds to lose ground at differing degrees.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, SLICK GAMBLER was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Entering the front straight, SAY ABRACADABRA and BOGAN DOLL bumped.

Even start.  In the 1st turn, BIG TRIGGER, ALOTA DAGZ and SIVAMET raced tight and were hampered.  Entering the back straight, BUD’S DELIGHT clipped heels, shifted out and fell and gave no further competitive part in this race.  In the front straight, ALOTA DAGZ raced wide.

 

The greyhound MIDNIGHT DASHER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
