TRIALS

Stewards’ Trail

The greyhound, JEANNIE DREAMING, performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over a distance of 395m, in the

 time of 22.95 and is cleared to race all tracks except Casino.

 

The greyhound, ALPHA NEMISIS, performed a satisfactory stewards’ trail over a distance of 520m, in the time

31.16 and is cleared to race all tracks.

RACE REPORTS

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN – 520M

ALPHA ULYSSES was best to begin, LAYBACK LENNY was marginally slow. At the 1st turn, FROSTY BLACK JAY and LAYBACK LENNY raced tight and bumped on occasion. Leaving the turn into the back straight FROSTY BLACK JAY checked off heels and lost ground.  At the turn into the home straight, CYNDIE’S ANNIE shifted out and checked into ATTILA, and then turned its attention toward ATTILA with both those greyhounds racing tight over the concluding stages of the race. 

The greyhound ATTILA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Stewards’ advised trainer, Mr W Elson, that the greyhound CYNDIE’S ANNIE would be charged under Rule 69 (a) Failing to Pursue, 1st Offence, 28 days and greyhound must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, 520m all tracks

THIRY TALKS @ STUD MIXED 4/5 – 600M

SNAKEY KATIE was best to begin.  HARA’S SAM and MILLION DOLLAR were both marginally slow.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, on the first occasion, MILLION DOLLAR improved onto the heels of WOOLOOGA, causing WOOLOOGA to become unbalanced.  Shortly after HARA’S SAM and MILLION DOLLAR checked and lost considerable ground as a result. Approaching the turn out of the front straight, SNAKIE KATIE was tightened for racing room and became unbalanced as a result.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, KNOCKA KNOCK checked off heels.  PENDITA and MILLION DOLLAR raced tight and bumped on occasion leaving the turn into the front straight.

3.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5TH GRADE – 520M

IZY GOLD was slow to begin.  Leaving the 1st turn, CORY’S DIAMOND stumbled and became unbalanced and shifted wide as a result.  Shortly after, IZY GOLD was tightened for racing room and checked off heels losing ground as a result.

4.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MIXED 4/5 – 520M

DOLLAR AND CENT and PHONIC LASS were best to begin, REGAL CYNDIE was very slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, BURRUM STARSKY checked off the rear of DOLLAR AND CENT and lost ground.  DOLLAR AND CENT was also inconvenienced as a result of this contact and shifted out. REGAL CYNDIE was impeded as a consequence and shifted wide and lost ground. 

 

The greyhound BURRUM STARSKY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

5.

 

After going back 3 races prior to the beginning of race 5, and due to a localised thunderstorm with its associated lightning and the condition of the track, it was deemed by stewards that the remainder of the meeting be abandoned.

 

The greyhound NIKOLUCKY underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
