ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND NOVICE – 520M

ALEENA LAD was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, TAIL WAG and WILL EYE AM bumped. Approaching the 1^st turn, MARDI GRAS NOEL was tightened for room and checked. Shortly after, WILL EYE AM and ALEENA LAD collided, resulting in both runners being forced out wider on the track and checked as a result. Out of the back straight into the turn, TAIL WAG was tightened for room and checked. LET’S WIN BILLY, which was trailing, collided with that runner and was checked as a result. Through the turn into the front straight, MARDI GRAS NOEL checked out across the heels of LET’S WIN BILLY.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5^TH GRADE (1) – 520M

Shortly after the start, DREAMING DORA, PASSION BONUS and BURRUM STARSKY were all tightened for room, resulting in DREAMING DORA and PASSION BONUS being checked. Shortly after, DREAMING DORA shifted in and collided with GOT THERE which was checked. BURRUM STARSKY raced in restricted room through the turn into the back straight. On entering the back straight, BURRUM STARSKY checked out across the heels of JOHN’S LAST and in doing so contacted the heels of JOHN’S LAST, resulting in that runner being hampered. On entering the front straight, JOHN’S LAST checked out across the heels of BURRUM STARSKY.

The greyhound GOT THERE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

3.	ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MIXED 4/5 – 600M FIRST FIRE was slow to begin. MUTANT was best to begin. Through the turn into the front straight, POLLYS MAID and DEL RAY bumped. Out of the turn into the front straight, POLLYS MAID, shifted in and collided with MILLION DOLLAR and then shifted out and collided with DEL RAY. POLLY’S MAID then tailed the field and proved non-competitive for the remainder of the event. Out of the back straight into the turn, DEL RAY was tightened for room and checked. MUTANT compounded in the straight. Stewards’ questioned the handler, Mr R Camilleri, about the performance of the greyhound MUTANT. Mr Camilleri expressed his disappointment with the performance of the greyhound tonight, and added that the performance may have been affected by the travel from Victoria. Mr Camilleri further added that it would be his intention to trial at unfamiliar tracks for the benefit of MUTANT in future. Mr Camilleri commented that he would be dropping MUTANT back to distances nearer to 500m in future events. MUTANT underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound POLLYS MAID underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the stomach muscle and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

4.	UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP 5^TH GRADE – 710M MAGIC BARB was best to begin. JACKIE’S LADY was slow to begin. Approaching the 1^st turn, FLYAWAY BARB and MAGIC BARB collided, resulting in both runners being checked. ALPHA CHAOS and PICKLED TINK, which were trailing, were hampered as a result. Through the turn into the front straight, DREAM BLASTER shifted in, taking MAGIC BARB inwards and collided with FLYAWAY BAR, resulting in both runners being checked. PICKLED TINK, which was trailing, was checked as a result. Shortly after, JACKIE’S LADY checked out across the heels of PICKLED TINK. On entering the front straight, PICKLED TINK shifted out and bumped MAGIC BARB. Through the turn into the back, FLYAWAY BARB shifted out and collided with ALPHA CHAOS and was severely checked. ALPHA CHAOS was checked as a result. MAGIC BARB, which was trailing, checked out across ALPHA CHAO heels and lost ground.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD QUEENSLAND DERBY (G2) OPEN HEAT 1 – 520M

POET SOCIETY was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, PITTSBURGH PHIL, DYNA CHANCER and ALL ABOUT TIGER were all tightened for room and checked. Approaching the 1^st turn, FERNANDO BONUS was tightened for room and checked. TWO TIMES TWICE, which was trailing, collided with that runner and was forced out wider on the track as a result. ALL ABOUT TIGER, which was racing to the outside of TWO TIMES TWICE, was forced out wider on the track and checked as a result. FERNANDO BONUS suffered and injury, fell and took no further part in the event. ALL ABOUT TIGER collided with that runner and was checked severely as a result. In the front straight, KENATAY shifted out and collided with PITTSBURG PHIL.

The greyhound FERNANDO BONUS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind leg and was humanely euthanised.

REV FRED SLOY was best to begin. JONESY was slow to begin. Approaching the 1^st turn, CORYKODI and DYNA FORREST collided, resulting in both runners being checked. Shortly after, PROPER GENT was tightened for room and shifted outwards, colliding with ALPHA ULYSSES resulting in both runners being checked. JONESY, which was trailing, was forced to shift out to avoid that runner’s heels and lost ground. Through the turn into the back straight, PROPER GENT checked out across the heels of ALPHA ULYSSES. Out of the back straight into the turn, JONESY checked out across the heels of ALPHA ULYSSES. ALPHA ULYSSES was checked as a result. In the front straight, JONESY turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with PROPER GENT. COSMIC BONUS was checked severely as a result.

7.	BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY BEST 8 – 520M LOGAN CITY began awkwardly. JUST SPIFFING was slow to begin. Approaching the 1^st turn, GELANTIPY GOLD was tightened for room and checked. LOGAN CITY, which was trailing, collided with that runner and was checked. Shortly after, JUST SPIFFING checked out across the heels of CYN’S MAGIC. Out of the back straight into the turn, IT’S DYLLAN was tightened for room and checked.

8.	FABREGAS @ STUD BOGIE LEIGH FUTURITY (G2) OPEN FINAL – 520M POCO DORADO was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, HARA’S HONEY and WISE MISTY bumped on a number of occasions. Approaching the 1^st turn, HARA’S HONEY, WISE MISTY and SLEIGHT OF HAND all collided and were checked. ELLA ENCHANTED and BRANDI ALEXANDER collided, resulting in both runners being checked. Through the turn into the back straight, SLEIGHT OF HAND bumped ELLA ENCHANTED and was checked. Out of the back straight and into the turn, SLEIGHT OF HAND was tightened for room, checked and collided with VELOCE NERO. Shortly after, WISE MISTY, HARA’S HONEY and ELLA ENCHANTED all bumped. Out of the turn into the front straight, BRANDI ALEXANDER checked out across the heels of HARA’S HONEY and collided with POCO DORADO and was severely checked.

Through the turn into the back straight, MAGIC HORNET was tightened for room and checked out across the heels of GO LASSIE GO. Approaching the finishing line, AZA ZEUS and GO LASSIE GO bumped, resulting in both runners being checked .

FAB FIT then shifted outwards, dictating MAYWYNS NOISE out onto NEEKY’S WAY, which was checked and forced out wider on the track as a result. Through the turn into the back straight, BULA SUPAGUS was tightened for room and checked out across the heels of SHOES TO FILL and lost ground. Out of the turn into the back straight, NEEKY’S WAY and BULA SUPAGUSE bumped.

Out of the turn into the front straight, CODRINGTON KID shifted out across the heels of ARDENT STREET and collided with SCIPIO AFRICANUS, which was checked as a result.
