Best away was WESTMEAD COMET and CARLEY BOBBY, with the rest evenly away. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, WHITE ONYX and WESTMEAD COMET collide, causing WHITE ONYX to check HOOT. On the turn out of the back straight, KING AXLE shifted out, checked off the heels of HOOT, causing those two greyhounds to drop back sharply. In the home straight, RED BELLY BLACK was wide.
