ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND
MAIDEN – 395M Even start,
with the exception of BLUE JAY JAY which was slow
to begin. Through the 1st
turn, FROSTY BLACK JAY and NOT FAR ZUESS were tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Rounding the
turn into the back straight, BOYZ ONE was tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. Entering the back
straight, FROSTY BLACK JAY checked across heels and lost ground. NOT FAR ZUESS, which was trailing, was
checked as a consequence and lost ground.
Leaving the back straight, BLUE JAY JAY was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. SUGAR BOY, which was trailing, was checked
as a consequence and lost ground.
FROST BLACK JAY was checked as a result of this incident, and lost
ground. Entering the front straight,
NOT FAR ZUESS checked across heels and lost ground. Stewards’
advised trainer, Mr R Hazelgrove, that they had some concerns with RAIN
ALERT’s actions in the run to the finish.
After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the
benefit of the doubt if it had offended under any rule. |

MAIDEN – 331M Even start. In the
back straight, JAKEY BOY shifted in and made contact with the running rail
and lost ground. Approaching the turn
into the front straight, ARCTIC VILLAIN and KEY FACTOR collide, which
resulted in KEY FACTOR to be checked and to lose ground. The greyhound STELLAR STAR underwent a post race
veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near
hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days. The greyhound JAKEY BOY underwent a post race veterinary
examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off front foot
and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

straight, GRAND ROSIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Leaving the back straight,
GRAND ROSIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. At the same time, WESTERN HONEY shifted
out, which hampered the running of GITCHA ALLEY, resulting in both greyhounds
to lose ground. |

THE MANLY HOTEL MIXED 4/5 – 395M Even start.
Through the 1st turn, MISS LYNBRA, IRON MONARCH, LET’S GO
FABIO and STEAK SANDWHICH were all tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. MISS LYNBRA commenced to
give ground rounding the turn out of the back straight, to finish a
considerable distance from the remainder of the field. The greyhound MISS LYNBRA underwent a post race
veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near
hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks. |

back straight, STAR BILLING and COMETRON FLYER collide, resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.
Approaching the turn into the front straight, COMETRON FLYER and
RAMBLIN’ ROSE collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose
ground. Entering the front straight,
SHOW BEKIM and GET SHORTY collided, resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and to lose ground. The greyhound STAR BILLING underwent a post race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
