Stewards’ Trial 1

The greyhound BAGO BYE BYE failed to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial over a distance of 600m.

 

Stewards’ Trial 2

The greyhound HAY HOPEY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 520m, in a time of 30.60 sec, and is now cleared to race.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN HEAT 1 -  520ME

Even start.  Shortly after the start, JIMARY MONEYBAGS, ATTILA, UNO UNO and UNIQUE LEIGH raced tight, resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight, HYDE, ATTILA, UNO UNO, TOPDECK DUK, NOT TOO BOSSY and STOP IT LACHLAN were all tightened for racing room, checked at varying degrees and all greyhounds lost considerable ground as a result of the this incident.  In the back straight, NOT TOO BOSSY and STOP IT LACHLAN collide on a number of occasions.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD MAIDEN HEAT 2 – 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start, SIR RAVEN and EARS UP were both tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after, BUTTERFLY IS SHE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight, MAC ROAMIN’ was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  EARS UP and BUTTERFLY IS SHE, which were trailing, were checked as a result of this incident and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, SIR RAVEN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight, INDIVIDUAL RICHY checked across heels and lost ground.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY NOVICE – 520M

Even start.  In the front straight on the 1st occasion, WILL EYE AM shifted across heels and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight, LOST IN ORBIT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after, MISS POCKET ACES and ADRIENNE’S HOPE collided, resulting in ADRIENNE’S HOPE to be checked and to lose ground.  Entering the front straight, NURBURG and MISS POCKET ACES collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  Shortly after, ADRIENNE’S HOPE shifted out and made muzzle contact with NURBURG, resulting in that greyhound to be severely checked and to lose considerable ground.  MISS POCKET ACES, which was racing to the outside of NURBURG, was checked as a result of this incident.

 

Stewards’ advised trainer, Lawrence Meteyard, the greyhound ADRIENNE’S HOPE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring 1st Offence, and will be stood down for a period of 28 days at Albion Park and greyhound must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, 520m all tracks.

Even start.  Through the 1st turn, KLOEIS PRIDE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the back straight, KLOEIS PRIDE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, KLOEIS PRIDE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  DORREGO and MAKING WAVES, which were trailing, were checked as a consequence and lost ground.

TWITTER @ BRISGREYS MIXED 3/4 – 520M

Even start, with the exception of STILL COUNTING which was marginally slow to begin.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight, KNOCK ME OVER and STILL COUNTING both raced wide.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, MINSTREL MAN and JOHN’S LAST collide.  Entering the front straight, SKITTISH EXPRESS and KNOCK ME OVER collide.  In the front straight, DAZE LIKE THESE shifted out which hampered the running of MINSTREL MAN.

 

Stewards’ advised trainer, Mr M Emery, in regards to their concerns that had with the actions of MINSTREL MAN approaching the turn into the back straight.  After considering all available evidence stewards’ could not be comfortably satisfied that MINSTREL MAN had breached any rule, and therefore gave it the benefit of the doubt.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 – 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start, SMASHNIAK MARCY, RINGBARK MASON and VELOCITY LINDER were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight, REGAL CYNDIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

7.

SKY RACING 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 – 520M

Even start, with the exception of PLANE SPOTTER and DODGE ME which were marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, MONEY FOR JAM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, MONEY FOR JAM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, BILL’S SPECIAL and STRUDEL collided, resulting in STRUDEL to be checked and to lose ground. 

 

When questioned over the performance of MONEY FOR JAM, trainer Mr S Scott, stated that greyhound races best when leading, and after being crossed in the early stages and receiving some interference throughout the run, he was not overly disappointed with the greyhound’s performance.  He stated that MONEY FOR JAM has limited racing experience, as this was its 7th race start, and he believes it will improve with further racing.  Mr Scott stated that he did not support the greyhound in tonight’s race.

 

The greyhound STRUDEL underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

FABERGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 – 520M

Even start, with the exception of KENATAY which was very slow to begin.  Shortly after the start, BRITTANY TALKS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight, HAY BILLY shifted out, which checked the running of GET MESSI.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, KENATAY improved onto the heels of GET MESSI and lost ground.  Entering the front straight, BILLY BOY and I’M GLAD bump.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, GET MESSI shifted in and made contact with the running rail and lost ground.

 

The greyhound GET MESSI underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound KENATAY underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near fore toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

SMASHNIAK OPAL was best begin.  Through the 1st turn, OUTBACK SUNSHINE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight, NEW ABODE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight, SPRITELY BILL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the front straight, during the run to the finish, OUTBACK SUNSHINE and COOKIE NO CREAM collided on a number of occasions.

Even start, with the exception of LOBCHA which was marginally slow to begin.  Entering the back straight, LET’S GO FABIO and LOBCHA were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, LET’S GO FABIO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, DREAM YOUR DREAM checked across heels of PANTERA NEGRA, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, LOBCHA checked across heels of PANTERA NEGRA resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  Entering the front straight, LET’S GO FABIO and LOBCHA collided, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.

 

 

The greyhound PANTERA NEGRA underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
