Stewards’ Trial |
The greyhound ACCLAIM performed a satisfactory
stewards’ trial, over a distance of 520m, in a time of 30.09,
and is
now cleared to race.
The greyhound DARBY’S GIRL performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 395m, in a time of
23.42, and is now cleared to race.

UBET –
DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN – 520M CYNTHIA JOY was best to begin, SPUR ON was
marginally slow. Midway down the front
straight, MAUI BEACH was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. At the 1st turn,
CYNTHIA JOY checked off heels, shifted out and impeded MAUI BEACH and SPUR
ON, causing both those greyhounds to become unbalanced, shift wide and lose
significant ground as a result.
Approaching the turn out of the back straight, LIGHTNING BEN was
tightened for racing room and became unbalanced. MAUI BEACH and SPUR ON raced tight through
the turn into the front straight, with MAUI BEACH shifting wide as a result,
and losing considerable ground in the process. The
greyhound MAUI BEACH underwent a post race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the chest muscle and was stood down for
a period of 10 days. |

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD
NOVICE – 520M STEAK SANDWICH was best to begin. Approaching the 1st turn, RED
HOT SPUR shifted in and lost momentum.
BLACKHEART BELLA and HOT EMBER, which were trailing, checked off heels
and lost significant ground as a consequence.
Approaching the turn into the back straight, WICKLA was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
Approaching the turn into the front straight, RED HOT GOSSIP and
WICKLA bumped. Leaving the turn into
the front straight, RED HOT SPUR and WICKLA checked. Shortly after, WICKLA deviated its
attention to RED HOT GOSSIP, which was racing to its outside, making muzzle
contact with that greyhound. Stewards’ advised trainer, Mr P Cauchi, the greyhound
WICKLA would be charged under Rule 69 Marring 1st Offence, with
the greyhound to be stood down for 28 days and to perform a satisfactory
stewards’ trial, 520m all tracks. |

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MIXED 3/4 – 520M WHO IT IS was
best to begin, IRINKA GAIL was marginally slow. Approaching the 1st turn, FARMOR
IN TIME was tightened for racing room, checked and lost considerable
ground. IRINKA GAIL, which was
trailing, collided into FARMOR IN TIME causing both greyhounds to lose
ground. TWIN GALAXY shifted out and
bumped into WHO IT IS midway down the front straight, approaching the finish. The
greyhound FARMOR IN TIME underwent a post race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the near hip and was stood down for a
period of 10 days. |

WITHCOTT HOTEL MA5 – 395M OPPORTUNE KNOCKA and MAY ROAD were both marginally slow
to begin. In the 1st turn,
HOLLY KNOCKS was tightened for racing room and lost ground. At the same time, OKA’S ANGEL checked off
heels and lost ground, the majority of the field which were trailing that
greyhound were inconvenienced as a result and all lost ground to varying
degrees. BET YOU WILL raced wide in
the turn out of the back straight, and for the remainder of the race
thereafter. The
greyhound MAY ROAD underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found
to have sustained an injury to the near hind webbing and was stood down for a
period of 10 days. |

@ BRISGREYS MIXED 3/4 – 395M . DUSTY’S CHANCE and BLOZA were both best to begin, AUGUST
FLAME was slow. Leaving the 1st
turn, WAIKARIE NOEL shifted in causing RUN KAY RUN to check off heels and
collide into PRINCESS EMILY which was trailing, causing both those greyhounds
to lose substantial ground as a consequence.
AUGUST FLAME raced wide through the turn out of the back straight. The greyhound PRINCESS EMILY underwent a post race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound RUN KAY RUN underwent a post race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards’ question licensed trainer, Mr B Hazelgrove, in
relation to the performance of his greyhound PRINCESS EMILY. Mr Hazelgrove stated that the greyhound was
timid and reacted poorly when coming into contact with other greyhounds in
racing circumstances. Mr Hazelgrove
further stated in future, that he was looking to put the greyhound over
longer race distances to decrease its chances of being involved in contact. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE - 600M REPTAR and SWEET ELLA ROSE were
both best to begin, ALPHA CHAOS was marginally slow. Approaching the 1st turn,
SORRENTO and SWEET ELLA ROSE raced tight and checked, causing SWEET ELLA ROSE
to become severely unbalanced, and both greyhounds to lose considerable
ground as a consequence. Approaching
the turn out of the back straight, IZY MAGIC was momentarily impeded and lost
momentum. Leaving the turn into the
front straight, IZY MAGIC shifted in and came into contact with the running
rail, losing ground as a result. The greyhound IZY MAGIC
underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found. |

SKY RACING 5TH
GRADE HEAT 1 – 520M KINGSBRAE GRANMA and DOUBLE SPUR were both best to begin,
HAY BILLY was slow. At the 1st
turn, SULTAN OF RUM shifted out, which hampered REGAL CYNDIE and BULA
SUPAGUSE, causing all to check and lose significant ground as a
consequence. Leaving the turn into the
back straight, SAMBUCCA HAYZE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. SULTAN OF RUM raced wide
through the turn out of the back straight, and through the turn into the
front straight. Leaving the turn into
the front straight, KINGSBRAE GRANMA collided into the rear of HARA’S SKYLAH
and lost considerable ground as a result.
DOUBLE SPUR and HAY BILLY raced tight over the concluding stages of
the race, bumping on occasion. The greyhound KINGSBRAE GRANMA underwent a post race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

turn, BIG HERO SIX was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost
ground. At the same time, MR. GAMBLER shifted
out and raced wide through the 1st turn, bumping SMOKEY WISHES as
it did. Approaching the turn out of
the back straight, BIG HERO SIX checked off heels and lost ground. MR. GAMBLER, which was trailing, checked
into BIG HERO SIX, causing both greyhounds to lose ground as a result. |

extremely wide through the turn into the back straight. LIL MISS PINKY raced
