Race Reports

 

Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN (1) – 395M

 

HARA’S DASH was best to begin. In the 1st turn, HARA’S DASH, BLUE JAY JAY and FANTA POP raced tight, HARA’S DASH was checked as a result and all greyhounds lost ground. In the back straight, HARA’S SHADOW, BLUE JAY JAY and HARA’S DASH collided, causing HARA’S DASH to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, BLUE JAY JAY and HARA’S SHADOW bumped.  In the front straight, HARA’S DASH and FANTA POP collided on numerous occasions.

 

Race 2 – ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN (2) – 395M

 

TIGHT CIRCLE and HARA’S HUSTLE were best to begin, with ELUSIVE FANCY and BOSS BOSS marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, ELUSIVE FANCY, STEWY’S MAGIC and BOSS BOSS were tightened for racing room.  In the top turn, STEWY’S MAGIC clipped heels and was hampered.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, WESTMEAD COMET shifted out checking ELUSIVE FANCY, STELLAR STAR and HARA’S HUSTLE.  In the front straight, BOSS BOSS and WESTMEAD COMET bumped. 

 

Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS NOVICE (1) – 395M

 

NAN’S MAGIC was best to begin. In the 1st turn all greyhounds except NAN’S MAGIC and BACK PLAY raced tight and lost ground at differing degrees.

 

 

The greyhound GOLDEN STORM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NOVICE (2) – 395M

 

The start of the race was delayed by 1 minute due to a thoroughbred race. 

 

Even start, with UNIQUE SPIRIT marginally slow.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, MISTER MORK and TOP SCORE collided.  In the front straight, BURRUM EAGLE raced wide. 

 

Race 5 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN FINAL – 395M

 

MAGIC SUMMER was best to begin, with ONE EL marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, KOORINGA ZOE was tightened for racing room. In the back straight, FLYWHEEL TOMMY commenced to give ground in open running.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, DARBY’S GIRL and CYNDIE SAID bumped. 

 

The greyhound FLYWHEEL TOMMY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the stomach muscles and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

 

Race 6 – THE MANLY HOTEL 5TH GRADE (1) – 395M

 

WESTERN HONEY was best to begin.  In the 1st turn, HARA’S HORNET was tightened for room.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, DODGY CREDIT and CIANNA’S ANGEL bumped, at the same time WESTERN HONEY and TICTAC CLOUD bumped.  In the front straight, DODGY CREDIT and CIANNA’S ANGEL bumped. 

 

Race 7 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 395M

 

SHOW BEKIM was best to begin, with SPRITELY BILL and FOXY FIREBALL marginally slow.  In the back straight, SPRITELY BILL, FOXY FIREBALL and SMASHNIAK BATMAN were tightened for racing room.  Leaving the back straight, NAUGHTY MAX was tightened for racing room.  Rounding the turn in the front straight, NAUGHTY MAX, SPRITEL BILL and FOXY FIREBALL collided.  Approaching the finishing line, NAUGHTY MAX and FOXY FIREBALL bumped. 

 

Race 8 – WITHCOTT HOTEL 5TH GRADE FINAL – 395M

 

EL NUNU was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, EL NUNU was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  In the back straight, EL NUNU, ROSEALIE WHO and WESTERN COMET collided.  Rounding the turn of the back straight, EL NUNU, ROSEALIE WHO and NO CLYDE NEEDED collided.  Entering the front straight, ROSEALIE WHO and NO CLYDE NEEDED bumped.  Approaching the finishing line, ROSEALIE WHO and NO CLYDE NEEDED bumped. 

 

 

Race 9 – FABERGAS @ STUD 5TH GRADE – 520M

 

IZY GOLD was best to begin, with HAY ROSALIE marginally slow.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, IZY GOLD clipped heels, shifted out and lost ground.

 

Race 10 – UBET TAPPY 5TH GRADE (2) – 395M

 

SMASHNIAK DOUBLE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, POONYAHRA and MOSCOW MULE bumped.  In the back straight, SHESA DRATTA, POONYAHRA and MOSCOW MULE raced tight.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, SHESA DRATTA, HARA’S REBEL and DYNA RAZE collided, causing SHEZA DRATTA to lose ground and DYNA RAZE to shift out and lose ground.

 

The greyhound SHESA DRATTA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 11 – TWITTER @ BRISGREYS MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 331M

 

DAY TIME FRIEND was best to begin, with GALLEON marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, BLACK DRATTA and COOKIE NO CREAM bump.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, MISS PAIGE MAC clipped heels.  Rounding the turn in the front straight, COOKIE NO CREAM got onto the hindquarters of GALLEON, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

 

Race 12 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM 5PW – 395M

 

FUNNY FELLOW was best to begin. Shortly after the start ELLINGTON and DANYO’S LOZZA bumped. In the 1st turn ELLINGTON, DANYO’S LOZZA and SMASHNIAK WINX collided. Entering the back straight HARA’S SKYLAH was tightened for racing room. Rounding the turn into the front straight FUNNY FELLOW, HARA’S SKYLAH and BATTY LOVES BEER collided and hampered.
