Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN – 520M
ELUSIVE STAR was best
to begin, with PHAROAH’S GOLD marginally slow.
Approaching the 1st turn TAHBILK shifted out checking BARRY
BICEPS, causing both greyhounds to be hampered, resulting in EYE HATE CAKE to
race wide. Rounding the turn into the
back straight, TAHBILK and BARRY BICEPS bump.
Leaving the back straight, PHAROAH’S GOLD clipped heels. In the front and back straight, EYE HATE CAKE
raced wide.
Race 2 – PAUL LUCA NOVICE – 520M
ORACLE KATE and REGAL OPAL were best to
begin. Shortly after the start, EYE LIKE
CAKE, MISSY FERGUS and OBLIVINATOR all raced tight, causing MISSY FERGUS and
EYE LIKE CAKE to lose ground. In the 1st
turn, EYE LIKE CAKE shifted out checking MISSY FERGUS, causing both greyhounds
to run wide and lose ground. In the
front and back straight, MISSY FERGUS raced wide.
The greyhound MISSY FERGUS underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
Stewards questioned the representative of MISSY
FERGUS which he stated that the greyhound wasn’t a great beginner and the
interference in the race was the course of the performance.
Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS MA5 – 395M
EBONY SANDS and BUTTON PUSHER were best to
begin, with DOLLAR AND CENT marginally slow.
In the 1st turn, CIANNA’S ANGEL and EGYPTIAN MISS bumped.
Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD MIXED 4/5TH GRADE –
331M
Even start, with GEORGIE MAC marginally
slow. Shortly after the start, INDIAN
GIVER, SIX GUN and FOLLOW THE DUK raced tight, causing all greyhounds to be
hampered. In the back straight, SIX GUN
and FOLLOW THE DUK collided. Approaching
the winning post, DE ZOOYA, BLOZA, FOLLOW THE DUK and GEORGIE MAC all
bumped.
Race 5 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE
HEAT 1 – 520M
REGAL EMERALD was best to begin, with WAZZA WHO
and HAY HOPEY slow. Shortly after the
start, WAZZA WHO and LA BAMBA collided.
In the 1st turn, TOOKA TRIP, WAZZA WHO and LA BAMBA collided,
causing WAZZA WHO and LA BAMBA to lose ground and causing HAY HOPEY to race
wide. Entering the back straight,
SMOKIN’ ALICE was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the front straight, WAZZA WHO and
TOOKA TRIP bumped.
The greyhound WAZZA WHO underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 6 – THE MANLY HOTEL 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 – 520M
HARA’S FLAME was best to begin, with HAY BILLY
and LION’S BLUE marginally slow. Shortly
after the start, HAY BILLY, BIG TRIGGER, SILVER STUNNER and DAZE LIKE THESE all
raced tight, causing all greyhounds to be hampered. In the 1st turn, HAY BILLY, BIG
TRIGGER and DAZE LIKE THESE bumped.
Leaving the 1st turn, BIG TRIGGER, SILVER STUNNER and DAZE
LIKE THESE collided, causing all greyhounds to lose ground. Entering the front straight, HAY BILLY
shifted in checking GO RUBY GO and SILVER STUNNER, causing all greyhounds to lose
ground at differing degrees.
The greyhound SILVER STUNNER underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 0-3 WINS – 600M
WHIPPY MIDGET was best to begin. At the 1st turn, STEALTH KARMAR
and MUSTANG NOVA and POWDER collided. In
the front straight on the 1st occasion, SLICE OF CAKE commenced to
give ground in open running. Leaving the
front straight on the 1st occasion, VANDERWEGHE clipped heels and
lost ground. Leaving the back straight, STEALTH KARMAR clipped heels and lost
ground.
The greyhound SLICE OF CAKE underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off
side hock and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
Race 8 – FABERGAS @ STUD MIXED 4/5TH GRADE –
600M
RULE THE ROAD and SMART
MARLOW were best to begin, with LORDE CERINE and SORRENTO slow. Shortly after the start, RING HIM and POLLYS
MAID bumped. At the same time, LORDE
CERINE shifted out checking SORRENTO, causing both greyhounds to lose
ground. In the home straight, RULE THE
ROAD, EMMA’S MAGIC and SMART MARLOW all raced tight, causing all greyhounds to
be hampered.
Race 9 – UBET TAPPY BEST 8 – 395M
Even start, with STUEY
slow. In the 1st turn, STUEY
clipped heels shifted out and checked ARABIAN GO GO, causing all greyhounds to
lose ground. Leaving the back straight,
COSMO BILL, PREMIER TEJAY and REGAL WAZ collided, causing all greyhounds to
lose ground.
The greyhound STUEY
underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an
injury to the off hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
Race 10 – TWITTER @ BRISGREYS MIXED 4/5TH GRADE
– 395M
PENTERA NEGRA and
STUBBORN STATE were best to begin. In
the 1st turn, ARFA SHOW OFF, ARABIAN GO DANI, DOUBLE OAK and SHOW
BEKIM collided, causing ARFA SHOW OFF and ARABIAN GO DANI to lose ground.
Leaving the back straight, DOUBLE OAK and STUBBORN STATE bumped. Entering the front straight, BLITZEN LEE and
STUBBORN STATE bumped. In the front
straight, SHOW BEKIM raced wide.
