Race Reports

 

Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN (1) – 395M

 

WHITE SWIRL and SHANAE WHO were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start, WHITE SWIRL contacted the hindquarters of HARA’S DASH, resulting in both runners to be checked.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, LOGAN’S RUN contacted the hindquarters of DANILO on several occasions, resulting in both runners to be severely checked.  In the back straight, SHANAE WHO checked off heels.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, WHITE SWIRL was tightened for room and checked.  SHANAE WHO, which was trailing, and LOGAN’S RUN, which was racing to their outside, were both inconvenienced as a consequence.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, REGAL REPORT and DANILO raced wide. 

 

The greyhound LOGAN’S RUN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN (2) – 395M

 

At the start, SMASHNIAK GALAXY was bumped by another runner and momentarily hampered.  Shortly after the start, BLUE JAY JAY shifted out across heels, colliding with NOIRE DREAM, resulting in both runners to be checked.  Through the first turn, SMASHNIAK GALAXY, EMMAVILLE BELLA and NANNY’S CHARLIE were all tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, EMMA SAID was tightened for room and checked.  SMASHNIAK GALAXY, which was trailing, was momentarily hampered.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, BLUE JAY JAY was tightened for room and hampered.  Through the turn into the home straight, SMASHNIAK GALAXY, BLUE JAY JAY and EMMAVILLE BELLA raced wide.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, EMMA SAID checked off heels. 

 

Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS MAIDEN FINAL – 395M

 

Through the first turn, KOORINGA ZOE and HARA’S HUSTLE bumped, resulting in both runners to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, HOPE SAID and BOW WOW WOW were tightened for room and checked.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, HOPE SAID was tightened for room and checked.  Approaching the turn into, and throughout, the home straight, DARBY’S GIRL raced wide.  In the home straight, TOOK A RHYNO contacted the hindquarters of KOORINGA ZOE, resulting in both runners to be checked. 

 

Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NOVICE – 395M

 

BALLYMAC JAY, FLYING COMET and TOOK A FERGUS were marginally slow to begin.  Through the first turn, all runners, with the exception of BILLY WHO, were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  Entering the back straight, KATHERINE’S MONEY was tightened for room and checked.  Approaching the turn into the home straight, FARMOR RUSH shifted out across heels and collided with BALLYMAC JAY, resulting in both runners to be checked.  BALLYMAC JAY continued to race wide throughout the home straight. 

 

Race 5 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE (2) – 395M

 

WHO’S HOPE was marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start, FABIO MARSHA was bumped by another runner and hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, MAJESTIC MARVEL was tightened for room and severely checked.  WHO’S HOPE, FARMOR SHADY, TINKIE’S MY MUM and FABIO MARSHA, which were all trailing, were checked to varying degrees as a consequence.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, BURRUM EAGLE bumped WICKLA, resulting in both runners to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, FARMOR SHADY checked off heels. 

 

The greyhound MAJESTIC MARVEL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 – THE MANLY HOTEL 5TH GRADE (1) – 395M

 

Through the first turn, MISSY FERGUS, PAVLOVA CLOUD, WHINGING WILKO, LINRICK and SYMI SUMMER were all tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  MOOSE MAN, which was trailing, was hampered as a consequence.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, WHINGING WILKO checked off heels.  LINRICK raced wide for the majority of the event. 

 

Race 7 – BOX1PHOTOGRAPHY.COM 5TH GRADE FINAL – 395M

 

Through the first turn, all runners, with the exception of FARMOR ON FIRE and ROSEALIE WHO, were all tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  Entering the back straight, TRAV SAID checked off heels.  Approaching the turn into the home straight, GITCHA HUMMIN’ checked off heels, became momentarily unbalanced and lost ground. 

 

Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 395M

 

Through the first turn, IRON MONARCH, WESTERN HONEY and SHOW BEKIM were tightened for room and checked.  Entering the back straight, PANTERA NEGRA was tightened for room and checked.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, CAPTAIN’S KNOCK checked off heels.  Throughout the home straight, NAUGHTY MAX and SHILOH RANCH bumped on several occasions and lost ground as a consequence. 

 

Race 9 – FABERGAS @ STUD 5TH GRADE (2) – 395M

 

YOUI was slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, BOKARM LEO checked off heels.  Shortly after, FONIC LASS was tightened for room and severely checked.  BOKARM LEO and YOUI, which were trailing, were severely checked and lost considerable ground as a consequence.  DOLLAR AND CENT were also inconvenienced as a result of this incident.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, BOKARM LEO shifted out and collided with YOUI, resulting in both runners to be severely checked and to lose considerable ground.

 

The greyhound BOKARM LEO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound YOUI underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound USURPER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near-side pin muscle and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 10 –UBET TAPPY 5TH GRADE (3) – 395M

 

Shortly after the start, DANYO’S LOZZA was tightened for room and checked.  Entering the first turn, ZAMBORA PRIDE and CYNDIE WHO collided, resulting in both runners to be checked.  Approaching the turn into the homes straight, GLENREAGH SKUD contacted the hindquarters of LION’S BLUE, resulting in that runner to be checked and shift out wider on the turn. 

 

Race 11 – TWITTER @ BRISGREYS 5PW – 395M

 

Entering the first turn, SMASHNIAK WINX, FARCELONA FENIX, MONTRACHET, WILLY TOULA and TOOK A SELFIE were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  EL GRAND LARSON and CHARLIE’S BARBUN, which were trailing, were hampered as a consequence.  Entering the back straight, MONTRACHET and WILLY TOULA checked off heels and lost ground.
