Race Reports

 

Race 1 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE – 520M

 

BEE SOLO was slow to begin.  In the front straight, IMA TIPPA TOO and UNO UNO bumped and were momentarily hampered.  Approaching the first turn, ELUSIVE STAR and IMA TIPPA TOO were tightened for room, severely checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, BEE SOLO and ELUSIVE STAR bumped on several occasions and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, BEE SOLO checked off heels.

 

The greyhound ELUSIVE STAR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – UBET TAPPY MA5 (1) -520M

 

MANDELA CLOUD was marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the first turn, DISCO DOLLY and MANEDLA CLOUD were tightened for room and hampered.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight, MANEDELA CLOUD checked off heels.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, ALLPA MAMA checked off heels.  Over the concluding stages of the event, MANDELA CLOUD and YO VALE bumped, resulting in both runners to be momentarily hampered. ALLPA MAMA, which was trailing, was inconvenienced as a consequence. 

 

Race 3 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD MA5 (2) – 520M

 

ARDEN STREET was slow to begin.  Entering the first turn, COSMO CYNDIE contacted the hindquarters of TURN AND BURN, resulting in both runners to be checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, BIG TURLS checked off heels.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, BLOZA shifted out across heels and collided with TURN AND BURN, resulting in both runners to be momentarily hampered. 

 

The greyhound COSMO CYNDIE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 4 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5TH GRADE (1) – 520M

 

Shortly after the start, HAY ROSALIE and JEMMA’S MAGIC were tightened for room and hampered.  Entering the first turn, SURGENIE, JEMMA’S MAGIC and ZABDON VEYRON all collided, resulting in those runners to be checked to varying degrees.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, LA BAMBA was bumped by another runner and checked.

 

The greyhound ZABDON VEYRON underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND 5TH GRADE (2) – 520M

 

Shortly after the start, ROCKFORD, HAY HOPEY and KULU CHANCE were all tightened for room, resulting in ROCKFORD to be hampered, and HAY HOPEY and BILLY BOY to be checked and lose ground.  Over the concluding stages of the event, BILLY BOY was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.

 

Race 6 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS 5TH GRADE (3) – 520M

 

SYFY HERO, SNOWBALL OTTO and WAZZA WHO were all marginally slow to begin.  In the front straight, AND YOU ARE, CAN’T POSSIBLY and PITTSBURG PHIL were all tightened for room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the first turn, CAN’T POSSIBLY was tightened for room and checked.  Entering the first turn, SYFY HERO checked out across heels and lost ground.  EMPIRE REIGN and SNOWBALL OTTO were inconvenienced as a result of this incident.  Shortly after, PITTSBURG PHIL checked off heels.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, EMPIRE REIGN was bumped by another runner, severely checked and lost considerable ground.  Shortly after, AND YOU ARE checked off heels.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, SNOWBALL OTTO checked off heels.  Over the concluding stages of the event, WAZZA WHO was tightened for room and hampered.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, AND YOU ARE raced wide. 

 

The greyhound EMPIRE REIGN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – FABERGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE 4TH GRADE – 520M

 

BRIGHT SATELLITE, INDIAN GIVER and WHEATACRE were marginally slow to begin.  Entering the back straight, DREAM BLASTER checked off heels.

 

Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 600M

 

Approaching the turn into the front straight, DOUBLE GEE checked off heels.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, EMMA’S MAGIC was tightened for room, severely checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight, LALLYBROCH bumped with another runner and was checked.  KNOCKER KNOCK which was trailing, checked off that runner’s heels.  Entering the back straight, EMMA’S MAGIC was tightened for room and hampered.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, KNOCKER KNOCK shifted out across heels and bumped EMMA’S MAGIC, resulting in both runners to be checked. 

 

Race 9 – TWITTER @ BRISGREYS BEST 8 – 520M

 

Shortly after the start, DEL REY was tightened for room and hampered.  Shortly after, SMART MARLOW checked off heels.  Approaching the first turn, WISE MISTY checked off heels. 

 

Race 10 – UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MA5 (3) – 520M

 

THAT HOUDINI and NOOREE DESSA were marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start, GOT THERE and COSMIC CAPERS collided, resulting in both runners to be checked.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight, SAPPHO and THAT HOUDINI collided, resulting in both runners to be hampered.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, THAT HOUDINI improved onto the heels of MILLION DOLLAR, resulting in both runners to be checked.
