Race 1 – ASSEST BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN – 395M
BONNIE EILEEN was
marginally slow to begin. HARA’S SURF,
ABOUT READY and SENOR DYLAN all raced tight into the 1st turn,
resulting in ABOUT READY being tightened for racing room, checked and
falling. ELLIE’S STATE, which was
trailing, collided into ABOUT READY and was severely inconvenienced as a result
and also fell. TEJAY’S PRIDE, which was
trailing, was also inconvenienced and lost ground. BONNIE EILEEN raced wide through the turn into
the front straight.
The greyhound ABOUT
READY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries
were found.
The greyhound ELLIE’S
STATE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have
sustained an injury to the near hind leg and was humanely euthanised.
Race 2 – ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MIXED 3/4TH GRADE –
520M
GRASSETTO
and DAZE LIKE THESE were both marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start, ARABIAN GO GO and
FARMOR IN TIME collided, causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose
ground. GRASSETTO, which was trailing,
was inconvenienced and lost momentum.
Approaching the 1st turn, FARMOR IN TIME was inconvenienced,
became unbalanced and lost considerable ground.
Approaching the turn out of the back straight, FARMOR IN TIME was
impeded and lost momentum.
The
greyhound FARMOR IN TIME underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS NOVICE – 520M
HOOT and EARLY SETTLER
were both best to begin, EARS UP and SHAKEY TIMES were marginally slow. In the 1st turn, SHAKEY TIMES was
impeded, became unbalanced and lost ground.
BEE SOLO and SHAKEY TIMES raced tight and bumped through the 1st
turn. EARS UP raced wide through the
turn into the front straight. BEE SOLO
and OBLIVINATOR raced tight and bumped prior to the finish.
Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD MA5 – 395M
MAY
ROAD an MAM’S MAGIC were best to begin.
Shortly after the start, ALLEN KELVIN was tightened for racing room and
lost ground. Leaving the turn into the
back straight, ALLEN KELVIN was tightened for racing room and lost
momentum. Approaching the turn out of
the back straight, ALOTA DAGZ checked off heels and lost considerable ground.
MAY ROAD and LOGAN CITY raced tight and bumped on occasion, over the concluding
stages of the race.
Race 5 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 0-3 WINS – 600M
All races were pulled
back one race prior to the beginning of Race 5 due to mechanical issues with
the lure.
WHIPPY MIDGET underwent
a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.
WHIPPY
MIDGET was best to begin, FIVE OF SPADES and PHAROAH’S GOLD were marginally
slow. In the 1st turn, HARA’S
DAZZA and WAZZA QUEEN raced tight and checked, causing WAZZA QUEEN to become
unbalanced and lose momentum. Leaving
the turn out of the front straight, INFRARED LAD and NURBURG checked. Approaching the turn into the back straight,
INFRARED LAD was tightened for racing room, checked and lost momentum. Leaving the turn into the front straight,
HARA’S DAZZA shifted in, which impeded NURBURG, causing that greyhound to check
and lose momentum. Shortly after,
INFRARED LAD shifted out and collided into FIVE OF SPADES, causing both
greyhounds to lose ground.
Race 6 – THE MANLY HOTEL 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 – 520M
YOREMMUP
was best to begin, TOO GOOD JOOG was very slow away. Approaching the 1st turn,
POTENTIAL and WAZZA WHO raced tight and checked, causing both greyhounds to
become severely unbalanced and lose substantial ground. SHINE YOU LIGHT, which was trailing, was
inconvenienced and raced wide through the turn, losing ground as it did.
The
greyhound POTENTIAL underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 –
520M
DAM
SLIPPERY was best to begin, HAY ROSALIE was slow. Approaching the 1st turn, HAY
ROSALIE became unbalanced and lost ground.
Approaching the turn out of the back straight, HAY ROSALIE and MISSY
FERGUS raced tight and checked.
Race 8 – FABERGAS @ STUD MIXED 4/5TH GRADE –
395M
Even start. The entire field raced tight through the 1st
turn, with FARMOR HEAT tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. At the same time, GET SHORTY was checked and
lost ground. Leaving the turn into the
back straight, FARMOR HEAT improved onto the rear of OIL SPILL and then checked
into KIA BE GOOD, causing those greyhounds all to lose considerable ground as a
result. SPRITELY BILL, which was
trailing, improved onto the rear of KIA BE GOOD, with both greyhounds losing
significant ground as a result.
Approaching the turn out of the back straight, GET SHORTY checked off
heels and lost ground.
The greyhound FARMOR
HEAT underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found.
Race 9 – UBET TAPPY 5TH GRADE – 331M
TEJAY’S MAGIC was best
to begin. MYONA ROSE was slow. Leaving
the 1st turn, WHINGING WILKO checked off heels and lost substantial
ground. Approaching the turn out of the
back straight, MYONA ROSE and FARMOR EFFECTED checked. WHINGING WILKO raced wide through the turn
into the front straight. Leaving the
turn into the front straight, MYONA ROSE was impeded and shifted out, losing
momentum as it did.
Race 10 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND MIXED 3/4TH GRADE –
331M
BUDDY TOKAAM was best
to begin, JET BLACK STAR was marginally slow.
Approaching the turn out of the back straight, DAY TIME FRIEND improved
onto the heels of TEE BE GOOD, causing that greyhound to lose momentum. Immediately after, DAY TIME FRIEND collided into
the rear of TEE BE GOOD, with both greyhounds losing considerable ground as a
result. Leaving the turn into the front
straight, BUDDY TOKAAM improved onto the heels of MUSTANG TULLY.
