Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN
– 395M
FAIRY
WREN was best to begin. STORM POWER was marginally slow. Approaching the first turn TOMMY’S BEACH
checked off heels and lost significant ground. TEJAY’S PRIDE, which was
trailing, was momentarily impeded.
Approaching
the turn out into the back straight STORM POWER was impeded and lost momentum.
STORM POWER raced wide through the turn into the front straight.
The
greyhound TOMMY’S BEACH underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
Race 2 – MARBURG HOTEL MAIDEN – 395M
The start of the race
was delayed by approximately 3-minutes due to machinery involved in the Harness
track maintenance.
SWIFT
STORY and LOU LOU BEACH were both best to begin. STEWY’S MAGIC and SPUR ON were
both marginally slow. Leaving the turn into the back straight SWIFT STORY and
LOU LOU BEACH collided causing both greyhounds to lose ground. BONNIE EILEEN and
KNOCK ON EFFECT, which was trailing, improved over the rear of LOU LOU BEACH,
causing LOU LOU BEACH to fall and KNOCK ON EFFECT to lose substantial ground as
a consequence. BONNIE EILEEN was also inconvenienced as a result of that
incident. In the turn out of the back
straight, SPUR ON and STEWY’S MAGIC raced tight and checked causing STEWY’S
MAGIC to lose momentum. Leaving the turn
into the front straight, BONNIE EILEEN checked off heels and lost ground SPUR
ON deviated towards STEWY’S MAGIC and made muzzle contact on a number of
occasions over the concluding stages of the race.
The
greyhound LOU LOU BEACH underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
Connection
to the greyhound SPUR ON, was advised that the greyhound would be charged under
Rule 69 Marring 1st offence, with the greyhound to be stood down for
a period of 28 days, and would be required to perform a satisfactory stewards’
trial, over a distance of 395m, prior to
racing.
Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS – 395M
MISTER
MORK was best to begin. COMBAL ZERO was
marginally slow. Approaching the first
turn COMBAL ZERO improved onto the rear of AIDAN’S MAGIC and lost momentum.
Shortly after ABOUT READY and AIDAN’S MAGIC checked causing both grounds to
lose ground. Approaching the turn into
the back straight GALWAY WOLFGANG checked off heels and lost considerable
ground. Approaching the turn out of the
back straight AIDAN’S MAGIC and GALWAY WOLFGANG collided, causing AIDAN’S MAGIC
to fall, and GALWAY WOLFGANG was severely inconvenienced and lost substantial
ground as a consequence. DO YOU REMEMBER
raced wide through the turn into the front straight and remained wide for the
remainder of the race.
The
greyhound GALWAY WOLFGANG underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
The greyhound AIDAN’S
MAGIC underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have
sustained an injury to the off fore leg and was stood down for a period of 10
days.
Race 4 – ALPHA 390 FINANCE 5TH GRADE
(1) – 395M
SWEET
TALKING was best to begin. CHARLIE’S
BARBUN was slow. In the first turn, TOOK
A TICKET was tightened for racing room, checked and lost significant ground. Shortly after FELICI BEACH checked off heels
and lost ground. Leaving the turn into
the back straight, STAR STORY was impeded and lost momentum. Leaving the turn into the front straight,
FELICI BEACH shifted out off heels and became unbalanced.
Race 5 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE – 395M
MISS BECKBOO and MAYWYN
EMERALDS were both best to begin. BILLY
WHO and TOOK A RHYNO were both marginally slow.
In the first turn REGAL JADE checked off heels and lost ground. SWEET KAOS and TOP SCORE, which was trailing,
were inconvenienced and also lost ground.
Shortly after MISS
BECKBOO was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost substantial ground. BILLY WHO, REGAL JADE and SWEET KAOS which
was trailing were all inconvenienced and lost substantial ground as a
consequence. MAYWYN EMERALDS shifted in
over the concluding stages of the race.
Race 6 – FABREGAS @ STUD 5th GRADE – 520M
OBLIVINATOR
was best to begin. At the first turn
OBLIVINATOR and JUNK YARD KYLIE checked, causing JUNK YARD KYLIE to shift out
and collide heavily into STEAL A KISS and POTENTIAL, which was racing to its
outside, resulting in those greyhounds all losing significant ground as a
consequence. MISSY FERGUS, which was
trailing, was severely inconvenienced and raced wide losing ground as it did. Approaching
the turn into the back straight, JUNK YARD KYLIE checked of heels and lost
significant ground. In the turn out of
the back straight MISSY FERGUS and POTENTIAL checked, causing both greyhounds
to lose ground.
Race 7 – BOX1PHOTOGRAPHY.COM 3/4TH
GRADE MIXED FINAL – 395M
MISS
PAIGE MAC and GEORGIE MAC were both best to begin. SPRITELY BILL was marginally
slow. In the turn out of the back
straight, BUDDY TOKAAM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. LARRIKAN LASS, which was trailing, was
impeded and shifted wide losing momentum as it did. Shortly after ANOTHER RED was impeded and
lost momentum.
The greyhound SPRITELY
BILL underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have
sustained an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 10
days.
Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM – 395M
Even start. The entire
field raced tight and checked at the 1st turn, with all losing ground to
varying degrees. Leaving the turn into
the back straight, GO LASSIE GO was tightened for racing room and lost ground.
At the turn into the front straight GO LASSIE GO improved onto the rear of
NAUGHTY MAX, causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground as a result.

GO underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found.
Race 9 – ZILLMERE SPORTS 5TH GRADE –
395M
TIGHT CIRCLE was best
to begin and LION’S BLUE was slow. Approaching
the first turn TOOK A FERGUS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Shortly after TIGHT CIRCLE was
tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost significant ground as a
result. In the back straight TOOK A
FERGUS checked off heels and lost ground.
Approaching the turn into the front straight, MAGIC PASS shifted in and
checked into BLACK SHARK, causing both greyhounds to lose momentum. Leaving the turn into the front straight
BURRUM EAGLE shifted out and collided into MAGIC PASS, causing both greyhounds
to lose ground.
Race 10 – THE MANLY HOTEL - 395M
BULLSEYE DOUBT was best
to begin WHO’S HOPE and BOGAN LEGEND were both marginally slow. Approaching the first turn BULLSEYE DOUBT
bumped into LUCKY GAMBLER. Leaving the
turn into the back straight WHO’S HOPE checked off heels, became severely
unbalanced, shifted out and collided into LUCKY GAMBLER, which in turn shifted
out and checked into MOOSE MAN and BOGAN
LEGEND, which was trailing, with all those greyhounds losing ground to varying
degrees. Approaching the turn out of the
back straight, BULLSEYE DOUBT stumbled and lost momentum.
The greyhound LUCKY
GAMBLER underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries
were found.
