Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND NOVICE – 520M

 

SHIELD ME was slow to begin, BROKEN LOOSE was best to begin.  BROKEN LOOSE and TAHBILK bumped at the start.  Shortly after the start, ONE FOR MICK and CAPTAIN BLUE bumped and were hampered.  Approaching the 1st turn, CAPTAIN BLUE was tightened for room and checked.  Through the turn into the back straight, ONE FOR MICK and GENIE’S GIRL bumped.  GENIE’S GIRL checked in across heels and collided with CAPTAIN BLUE.

 

The greyhound GENIE’S GIRL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MA5 (1) – 520M

 

INDIAN GIVER was best to begin.  BIG PRINCE was tightened for room at the start.  Approaching the 1st turn, SWIFT NIMROD was tightened for room and checked out across heels, bumping FIVE OF SPADES.  On entering the back straight, ALLEN KELVIN was tightened for room and hampered.  Through the turn into the front straight, FIVE OF SPADES checked out across heels and collided with BIG PRINCE, which was checked.  SWIFT NIMROD raced wide through the turn into the front straight. 

 

Race 3 – UBET TAPPY MA5 (2) – 520M

 

SAPPHO was best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, AZARIAH shifted in tightening the running of LOGAN CITY and TURN AND BURN, which were checked.  Shortly after, AZARIAH collided with SAPPHO, then shifted out taking LOGAN CITY wider on the track.  TURN AND BURN checked out across heels.  Through the turn into the back straight, SAPPHO and AZARIAH were both tightened for room and checked.  PENDITA collided with SAPPHO.  Out of the turn into the back straight, PENDITA was tightened for room and checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn, AZARIAH was tightened for room and checked. 

 

Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 5TH GRADE (1) – 520M

 

FERNANDO BLASTER and IT’S A KISS bumped at the start.  In the front straight, DAZE LIKE THESE was tightened for room and hampered.  Through the turn into the front straight, IT’S A KISS and HOOT collided.  On entering the front straight, HOOT and BARBARELLA bumped. 

 

Race 5 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5TH GRADE (2) – 520M

 

PROPER GENT began awkwardly.  ROCKFORD was slow to begin.  On entering the 1st turn, SHE’S SOME GAL was tightened for room and hampered.  CLASSY CASSIE sustained an injury, collided with ROCKFORD and took no further competitive part in the event. 

 

The greyhound CLASSY CASSIE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

 

Race 6 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM 5TH GRADE – 600M

 

On entering the 1st turn, DOUBLE TAKE was tightened for room, checked, shifted out and collided with AGENT’S CHOICE, which was checked and collided with HOT EMBER, which was forced out wider on the track.  Shortly after, FLYAWAY BARB was tightened for room and checked. 

 

The greyhound DOUBLE TAKE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound AGENT’S CHOICE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 7 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 520M

 

Approaching the 1st turn, MYONA MORPHEUS collided with RULE THE ROAD, fell and took no further competitive part in the event.  Shortly after, SMART MARLOW was tightened for room and checked.  AND YOU ARE, which was trailing, was checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn, SMART MARLOW bumped SOFT SANDS, shifted out and then bumped SONIC THUNDER.  RULE THE ROAD was then tightened for room, fell and took no further competitive part in the event. 

 

The greyhound RULE THE ROAD underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound MYONA MORPHEUS underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – FABERGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE BEST 8 – 520M

 

DEL REY and FAB FIT were best to begin.  On entering the 1st turn, SHOT CLOCK improved onto heels and shifted outwards.  Through the turn into the back straight, FAB FIT and WISE MISTY collided and were checked.  SHOT CLOCK, which was trailing, checked out across heels.  In the back straight, WISE MISTY was tightened for room and hampered. 

 

Race 9 – MARBURG HOTEL 5TH GRADE (3) – 520M

 

SMALL JEWEL and GYSPY WILD were best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, VELOCITY AGNETHA and DOUBLE SPUR collided and were checked.  RATAJKOWKSI and SO SCANDALOUS, which were trailing, collided with DOUBLE SPUR and were checked.  SO SCANDOULOUS sustained an injury and took no further part in the event.  Through the turn into the back straight, VELOCITY AGNETHA was tightened for room and checked.  DOUBLE SPUR was hampered.  Out of the turn into the front straight, RATAJKOWSKI and VELOCITY AGNETHA collided.  Over the concluding stages of the event, RATAJKOWSKI, turned its head and shifted out and bumped VELOCITY AGNETHA. The connections of RATAJKOWSKI were advised that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69B Failing to Pursue with Injury, and would be stood down for a period of 14 days, and required to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 520m, prior to racing.

 

The greyhound SO SCANDALOUS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side tibia and was stood down for a period of 3 months.

 

The greyhound RATAJKOWSKI underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side pin muscle and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 10 – TWITTER @ BRISGREYS MA5 (3) – 520M

 

EMMA’S MAGIC was best to begin.  BIG TURLS was slow to begin.  OUTBACK SUNSHINE began awkwardly.  In the front straight, OUTBACK SUNSHINE improved onto heels and was hampered.  MILLION DOLLAR contacted the heels of SPRING FORTE.  Through the turn into the back straight, POWER OF PENNY collided with EMMA’S MAGIC, which was severely checked.  MILLION DOLLAR, which was trailing, collided with BIG TURLS and AUSSIE DIAMOND, fell and took no further competitive part in the event.  Out of the back straight into the turn, BIG TURLS and POWER OF PENNY bumped. 

 

The greyhound MILLION DOLLAR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
