Race Reports

Race 1 – UBET TAPPY MAIDEN – 520M

 

Best away was VELOCITY MELINKA, with SHAKEY DIESEL slowly away.  Approaching the winning post, on the 1st occasion, VELOCITY MELINKA and BLUE FLYER collide.  Entering the turn out of the home straight, VAL’S BOY checked off the heels of SHAKEY DIESEL.  On the turn, BIG BANG TEXADA was wide.  In the back straight, and home straight, BONNIE EILEEN was wide. 

 

The greyhound VELOCITY MELINKA underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 2 – MARBURG HOTEL NOVICE – 520M

 

Best away was COMMON GROUND, with KENDALL slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight, ABNOUT READY shifted out checking LAST DRINK, causing ABOUT READY to check RED HOT GOSSIP. In the back straight, and home straight, RED HOT GOSSIP was wide. 

 

Race 3 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5PW – 520M

 

Best away was HAYZE PURPLE, with ALLEN KELVIN and SWIFT NIMROD slowly away.  Soon after the start, EBONY MIST and ROSEALIE WHO collide.  In the back straight, SWIFT NIMROD was wide, in the home straight, HAYZE PURPLE was wide. 

 

Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 520M

 

Best away was INDIAN GIVER, with the rest evenly away.  Approaching the turn out of the home straight, CAN’T POSSIBLY and INDIAN GIVER collide.  Entering the turn out of the home straight, WARRUMBUNGLE GEM and TRIPLE CROWN FOX collide, causing TRIPLE CROWN FOX to check YOREMMUP, causing those two greyhounds to falter.  In the back straight, WARRUMBUNGLE GEM and MANDELA CLOUD collide. 

 

The greyhound YOREMMUP underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 395M

 

Best away was POINT SEVEN and INDIAN RUBY, with CATER STREET slowly away.  Entering the back straight, HAY NANNY and MISS PAIGE MAC collide.  Entering the home straight, HAY NANNY and CATER STREET collide, in the home straight, POINT SEVEN and EL NUNU collide. 

 

Race 6 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS 5TH GRADE – 520M

 

Best away was ROAD SIDE ASSIST, with SURGENIE and BIG TURLS slowly away.  Soon after the start, FARMOR IMAGE and UNO UNO collide.  Entering the back straight, UNO UNO checked off the heels of SLEEK STYLE, causing SLEEK STYLE to drop back sharply.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, SLEEK STYLE and UNO UNO collide, in the home straight SLEEK STYLE was wide.

 

The greyhound SLEEK STYLE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY BEST 8 – 395M

 

Best away was ARABIAN GO GO, with DESTINI PEGASUS and SYFY HERO slowly away.  Entering the back straight, ZENYATTA MISS checked off the heels of ARABIAN GO GO, causing ZENYATTA MISS to drop back, checking DESTINI PEGASUS and SYFY HERO.  In the back straight, and home straight, SYFY HERO was wide.

 

The greyhound DESTINI PEGASUS underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM 5TH GRADE FINAL – 520M

 

Best away was CRAZY EMJAY, with SOUTHERN RIPPLE slowly away.  Entering the turn out of the home straight, SOUTHERN RIPPLE checked off the heels of BARBARELLA.  Entering the back straight, BOW WOW WOW checked off the heels of SOUTHERN RIPPLE.  In the home straight, HARA’S FLAME was wide. 

 

Race 9 – FABERGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE MA5 – 395M

 

Even start, with JAYCEE’S LADY slowly away.  Entering the back straight, EMPIRE REIGN checked off the heels of SANDLER.  In the back straight, TWIN GALAXY was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, HAIGHT ASHBURY checked off the heels of EMPIRE REIGN.

 

Race 10 – THE MANLY HOTEL 5TH GRADE – 331M

 

Best away was LET’S GO FABIO, with the rest evenly away.  On the turn out of the back straight, ALWAYS ALBURY checked off the heels of LET’S GO FABIO.
