General:

Due to severe winds, this meeting was conducted with a follow-on lure. As the conditions had changed to those advertised, all trainers were afforded the opportunity of scratching without penalty.

 

Race Reports

 

Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND | GRADE M | 395 M

 

RINGBACK ACE was best to begin with STRAIT RUM slow. In the 1st turn NORTHERN GIRL ,LADY NICOLE and FLASH MUMMA collided. In the back straight KEITH HENRY clipped heels.

 

Race 2 – MARBURG HOTEL | GRADE MAIDEN F | 395 M

 

WARRINGA was best to begin with TEJAY’S PRIDE was marginally slow. In the 1st turn SUMMER’S PICK and STEWY’S MAGIC collided cause STEWY’S MAGIC to lose ground.

 

Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS | GRADE NOV | 395 M

 

MODERN GODDESS was best to begin with AIDAN’S MAGIC slow. Into the back straight STAR STORY and MAGIC SUMMER collided causing both greyhounds to lose ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight MODERN GODDESS and MISTER MORK collided on numerous occasions.

 

AIDAN’S MAGIC underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a near side hip injury and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD | GRADE 5 | 395 M

 

Even start with BLUE LEMONADE marginally slow. In the 1st  turn RAVEN LOCH was tightened for race room. Entering the back straight SHORT SESSION was tightened for racing room. Rounding the turn into the front straight SHORT SESSION clipped heels and lost ground.

 

Race 5 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND | GRADE 5 | 395 M

 

Even start with OBLIVINATOR slow. In the back and front straight BILLY BOY raced wide.

 

Race 6 – FABREGAS @ STUD | GRADE 4 | 395 M

 

Even start. Leaving the back straight JIMMY STINTSON clipped heels causing TEJAY”S MAGIC to be checked and both greyhounds lose ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight TEJAY’S MAGIC and ANNIE’S MAGIC collide on numerous occasions.

 

JIMMY STINTSON underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a off pin muscle injury and was stood down for a period of 7 days

 

 

Race 7 – BOX1PHOTOGRAPHY.COM | GRADE 5 | 520 M

 

GENIE’S GIRL and YOREMMUP were best to begin. In the back straight REACTOR clipped heels. Rounding the turn into the front straight SOUTHERN RIPPLE and ALPHA ULYSSES collided.

 

Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | GRADE BT8 | 395 M

 

Even start. In the 1st  turn COSMO BILL clipped heels causing COSMETRON FLYER and BIG TRIGGER to be checked resulting in BIG TRIGGER and COMETRON FLYER to lose significant ground.  Leaving the back straight COSMO BILL clipped heels.

 

Race 9 – ZILLMERE SPORTS | GRADE 5 | 395 M

 

SWIFT STORY was best to begin with REGAL REPORT marginally slow. Shortly after the start BACK PLAY”S muzzle was dislodged. In the 1st turn TOOK A FERGUS was tightened for racing room resulting in REGAL REPORT checked and both greyhounds lost ground.

 

Race 10 – THE MANLY HOTEL | GRADE P5 | 395 M

 

SATIN LUSTRE was best to begin. Shortly after the start BOGAN DANCER, LARRIKAN LASS, TOOK A SELFIE raced tight. In the 1st  turn BOONY DOON GEE, LARRIKAN LASS and BOGAN DANCER collided. Entering the back straight BOGAN DANCER was tightened for racing and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight larrikin lass clipped heels shifted out checking took a selfie leaving both greyhound’s to lose ground.

 

TOOK A SELFIE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no injury.
