Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND| NOVICE | 520M

 

WILDASH JAKEY was slow to begin. WAZZA SAID and IRISH ROGUE bumped at the start. Shortly after the start, EMULATING CHLOE was tightened for room and checked. BRIDGET BENZ and MOLLY MADNESS collided. Approaching the first turn, WILDASH JAKEY contacted the heels of ALPHA STYX. EMULATING CHLOE improved onto heels and was checked. BRIDGET BENZ, WILDASH JAKEY and ALPHA STYX collided. Through the turn into the back straight ALPHA STYX was tightened for room, checked and collided with IRISH ROGUE, which was checked.

 

Race 2 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY | NOVICE | 520M

 

EMMA SAID began awkwardly. ELLIE GRACE and GALWAY WOLFGANG were both slow to begin. Shortly after the start, STEAK SANDWICH was tightened for room and checked. On entering the first turn, EMMA SAID was tightened for room and checked. STEAK SANDWICH and GALWAY WOLFGANG collided and shifted outwards. Through the turn into the back straight, DIXIE LOUISE checked off heels. Out of the back straight into the turn, STEAK SANDWICH contacted the heels of GALWAY WOLFGANG. Shortly after, DIXIE LOUISE checked in across heels. On entering the front straight, NOVEMBER FLAME and ELLIE GRACE collided. STEAK SANDWICH and GALWAY WOLFGANG collided.

 

Race 3 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD | MA5 | 520M

 

TWIN GALAXY was best to begin. BIKINI CLOUD was slow to begin. On entering the first turn FIRST FIRE and CYN’S MAGIC bumped, CYN’S MAGIC was checked. In the back straight BIKINI CLOUD and MR BELVEDERE raced wide.

 

Race 4 – CHRISTMAS STOCKING HEAT 1 | GRADE 5 | 520M

 

GALWAY JOHAN began awkwardly and lost ground. TRAY BIT began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, BRANDI ALEXANDER and RASHEDA were both tightened for room. RASHEDA collided with TRAY BIT. Approaching the first turn, BRANDI ALEXANDER and IRISH RIPPLE were tightened for room and checked. Shortly after, RASHEDA was tightened for room and checked. SUPER CESC checked out across heels and bumped IRISH RIPPLE. WARRUMBUNGLE GEM collided with YORREMUP and was checked. On entering the back straight, SUPER CESC checked out across heels and collided with BRANDI ALEXANDER, which was checked. TRAY BIT, which was trailing, was checked.

 

Race 5 – CHRISTMAS STOCKING HEAT 2 | GRADE 5 | 520M

 

SURGENIE began awkwardly. PAINTED PICTURE was best to begin. Shortly after the start, STEEL A KISS and BAD NEIGHBOUR were tightened for room and checked. On entering the first turn, EXPONENTIAL checked out across heels. SURGENIE checked out across heels. KEALOAH was tightened for room and checked. KATIE WHO and SHE’S SOME GIRL collided. STEAL A KISS was tightened for room and hampered.

 

Race 6 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | MIXED 3/4 | 520M

 

WHEATACRE was best to begin. Approaching the first turn, AND YOU ARE was tightened for room and checked. MYONA MORPHEUS, which was trailing, was checked. Through the turn into the back straight, AND YOU ARE and LOGAN CITY collided. Out of the back straight into the turn, AND YOU ARE was tightened for room and checked. On entering the front straight, CODRINGTON KID checked out across heels and bumped MYONA MORPHEUS.

 

AND YOU ARE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no abnormalities were found.

 

Race 7 – FIRST GRADE GROUP | BEST 8 | 520M

 

ARDEN STREET began awkwardly and lost ground. Shortly after the start, FAST TIMES, IT’S DYLLAN and GELANTIPY GOLD were all tightened for room and checked. On entering the first turn, COSMIC BONUS checked in across heels, collided with IT’S DYLLAN and was checked. Out of the back straight into the turn, IT’S DYLLAN was tightened for room and hampered. In the front straight COSMIC BONUS shifted in, turned its head inwards and made muzzle contact with FABRIQUE.

 

Stewards advised Ms. Harris that COSMIC BONUS would be suspended from racing under GAR69(2)(a), marring 1st offence, for 28 days at Albion Park and until the completion of a satisfactory trial.

 

Race 8 – MIDDLE DISTANCE CHALLENGE 600 HEAT 1 | OPEN | 600M

 

DOUBLE TAKE was slow to begin. Through the turn into the front straight FLYAWAY BARB and DOUBLE TAKE bumped.

 

Race 9 – MIDDLE DISTANCE CHALLENGE 600 HEAT 2 | OPEN | 600M

 

FINAL CHALICE and SMART MARLOW were best to begin. Shortly after the start, HAY HOPEY and INFRARED STAR collided and were checked. Out of the front straight into the turn, MAURICE MINOR and SMART MARLOW collided. Through the turn into the back straight, SMART MARLOW checked out across heels.

 

Race 10 – CHRISTMAS STOCKING HEAT 3 | GRADE 5 | 520M

 

The all clear was delayed to afford stewards the opportunity to review the patrol footage when after giving the starting signal, a bird walked out in front of the starting boxes. Stewards were satisfied that no greyhound was materially prejudiced during the event and subsequently declared the all clear.

 

SMALL JEWEL was best to begin. HAY BILLY began awkwardly and lost ground. RULE THE ROAD slipped at the start. On entering the first turn, FERNANDO BLASTER checked out across heels. MASTER METHANE and TAIL WAG collided. Through the turn into the back straight, HARA’S FLAME and HAY BILLY collided. MASTER METHANE and TAIL WAG bumped. On entering the back straight, SMALL JEWEL was tightened for room and hampered. HARA’S FLAME and RULE THE ROAD collided, HARA’S FLAME was checked. Out of the back straight into the turn, MASTER METHANE and TAIL WAG collided.

 

Race 11 – CHRISTMAS STOCKING HEAT 4 | GRADE 5 | 520M

 

DAM SLIPPERY and TERRA TORRA were best to begin. AVA SURPRISE, ALPHA THEMIS and BLACK LOCH all collided at the start. On entering the back straight, ALPHA THEMIS and BLACK LOCH collided and were checked.

 

TERRA TORRA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no abnormalities were found.

 

BLACK LOCH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no abnormalities were found.

 

Race 12 – SKY RACING | MA5 | 520M

 

OUTBACK SUNSHINE began awkwardly and lost ground. Approaching the first turn, BIG PRINCE and BRIGHT SATELLITE collided and were checked. OUTBACK SUNSHINE was tightened for room and checked. Shortly after, BRIGHT SATELLITE and SPRING FORTE were tightened for room and checked. Through the turn into the back straight, BIG PRINCE checked out across heels and lost ground. SPRING FORTE checked out across heels. Out of the back straight into the turn, OUTBACK SUNSHINE collided with BIG PRINCE and was checked

 

OUTBACK SUNSHINE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to it’s near pin and was subsequently stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

BRIGHT SATELLITE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to it’s near hind toe and was subsequently stood down for a period of 10 days.
