Race 1 – SKY RACING | 0-4 WINS | 600M
EBONY MIST was best to begin. Approaching the first turn DARBY’s GIRL was impeded and lost momentum.
Race 2 – MARBURG HOTEL | NOVICE | 520M
UNIQUE LEIGH was clearly best to begin. OUR SASSY GYPSY and ZIP ZIP RUMBLE were slow. Leaving the first turn LAST DRINKS shifted in which impeded ALPHA HEMERA causing that greyhound to check off heels and lose ground. Leaving the turn out of the back straight ALPHA HEMERA and OUR SASSY GYPSY checked.
Race 3 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND | 5TH GRADE | 520M
MY WINDSONG was best to begin. NOT TOO BOSSY was marginally slow. Approaching the first turn CATER STREET, REGAL SAPPHIRE and BULLSEYE DOUBT raced tight and checked. Shortly after BULLSEYE DOUBT improved onto the heels of NOT TOO BOSSY causing both greyhounds to lose ground. At the same time REGAL SAPPHIRE shifted out and collided heavily into WARRUMBUNGLE GEM with both greyhounds also losing ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight WARRUMBUNGLE GEM and NOT TOO BOSSY checked, with both losing further ground as a consequence. MY WINDSONG raced wide through the turn out of the back straight and continued wide into the turn into the front straight.
Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD | MIXED 4/5 | 520M
STROGANOFF was best to begin. INFRARED LASS was marginally slow. Midway down the front straight on the first occasion STROGANOFF was checked and lost considerable ground as a consequence. Approaching the first turn STROGANOFF was impeded and lost momentum. Approaching the turn out of the back straight TORAH SPRITE collided into the rear of INFRARED LASS and lost significant ground. .
Race 5 – ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB | MAIDEN FINAL | 520M
SCANLON was best to begin. BIT OF RIPPLE was slow. Leaving the first turn BOGAN WARRIOR and BIT OF RIPPLE checked and lost ground. Approaching the top turn JET MAN checked off heels and lost ground.
Race 6 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS | 5TH GRADE | 520M
UNO UNO was slow to begin. BE SOLO began awkwardly and as a result was slow. Shortly after the start ELUSIVE STAR checked into UNO UNO, which then checked into KENDALL with both those greyhounds losing ground. Midway down the front straight on the first occasion BEE SOLO commenced to yield ground and took no further part in the race shortly after. Leaving the turn into the back straight ELUSIVE STAR checked off heels and lost considerable ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight CRAZY EMJAY was tightened for racing room and lost ground.
Race 7 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY | MIXED 4/5 | 395M
BLOZA was marginally slow to begin. At the first turn, the entire field with the exception of EL NUNU, YO YO LASS and RINGBARK BELLA raced tight and checked with all losing ground to varying degrees. Approaching the turn into the back straight BLOZA checked off heels, immediately after RICHMOND ROAD and ALPHA THEMIS which were trailing collided heavily into that greyhound with all losing substantial ground as a consequence. BLOZA and ALPHA THEMIS raced tight through the turn into the back straight and bumped on multiple occasions losing ground as they did.
Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | MIXED 2/3 | 395M
DOUBLE OAK was marginally slow to begin. In the first turn PROPER GENT checked off heels and lost considerable ground. Shortly after MAKO MAC checked off heels and lost considerable ground. Approaching the back straight PROPER GENT shifted out, checked off heels and lost further ground. DOUBLE OAK which was trailing was inconvenienced and also lost ground.
Race 9 – FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE | 5TH GRADE | 395M
Immediately after the start KIA BE GOOD shifted out and collided into SENOR DYLAN, causing both greyhounds to lose momentum. At the first turn STRUDEL and SENOR DYLAN were both tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost considerable ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight SENOR DYLAN was impeded, checked off heels and lost significant ground as a result. OFF THE DECK raced wide through the turn into the front straight.
Race 10 – THE MANLY HOTEL | MAIDEN/5TH GRADE | 395M
MILLION DOLLAR and CORY’S DIAMOND were both marginally slow to begin. At the first turn OUTBACK SUNSHINE And CAPTAIN TIL checked, causing OUTBACK SUNSHINE to lose considerable ground. Approaching the top turn OUTBACK SUNSHINE checked off heels and lost ground. Leaving the turn into the front straight OUTBACK SUNSHINE and MILLION DOLLAR checked. OUTBACK SUNSHINE and MILLION DOLLAR continued to race tight and check on occasion just prior to the finish line.
