Race 1 – TAB | NOVICE | 520M

 

MARVISTA was slow to begin. CHEWING SHOES began awkwardly and collided with ANJALIE, which was checked and shifted out. Shortly after the start, MY GIRL YESSAM was tightened for room and hampered. On entering the first turn, COYBIG was tightened for room and hampered. ANJALIE improved onto heels and was hampered. Out of the back straight into the turn, MIDNIGHT LIAISON was tightened for room and hampered.

 

A post-race veterinary examination of BELVEDERE BABE failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

Race 2 – GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND | MA5 | 520M

 

SOFT SAND was best to begin. Shortly after the start SPRING FORTE checked in across heels. Approaching the first turn BELVEDERE BABE was tightened for room, checked, collided with DEEJAY FRANKIE and lost ground. Shortly after, SPRING FORTE and BELVEDERE BABE checked out across heels. Through the turn into the back straight, DEEJAY FRANKIE contacted the heels of SOFT SAND and was hampered. POLLYS MAID bumped SOFT SAND and was hampered. Out of the back straight into the turn, DEEJAY FRANKIE was tightened for room and hampered. BELVEDERE BABE raced wide in the front straight.

 

A post-race veterinary examination of BELVEDERE BABE failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS | MA5 | 520M

 

FERNVALE RUBY was best to begin. AGENT’S CHOICE, REGAL CYNDIE and SON OF BETTY were all slow to begin. Through the turn into the back straight, REGAL CYNDIE checked out across heels. Out of the back straight into the turn, CALYPSO BAY improved onto heels and was hampered. Through the turn into the front straight, REGAL CYNDIE and FERNVALE RUBY bumped. On entering the front straight, TWIN GALAXY was tightened for room and hampered.

 

Race 4 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND | MIXED 4/5 | 520m

 

PROPER GENT and BRANDI ALEXANDER bumped at the start. On entering the first turn, ROCKFORD bumped ALPHA ULYSSES, which shifted out wider on the track. Through the turn into the back straight, BRANDI ALEXANDER collided with PROPER GENT and was checked.

 

Race 5 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD | GRADE 4 | 520m

 

HAY BILLY was slow to begin. On entering the first turn, ALPHA LUCKY, ADHARA STEEL and COMANECI all collided and were checked. CAN’T POSSIBLY and SUPER CESC collided. Through the turn into the back straight, ALPHA THEMIS checked out across heels and collided with SUPER CESC.

 

Race 6 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY QUEENSLAND CUP 600 (G3) HEAT 1 | OPEN | 600M

 

GASCOIGNE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, FIRST FIRE and INFRARED STAR were tightened for room and hampered. CYN’S MAGIC checked out across heels. SHOES TO FILL and FINAL CHALICE collided. Out of the turn into the front straight, GASCOIGNE collided with SHOES TO FILL and was checked. FINAL CHALICE and DEL REY bumped. Out of the front straight into the turn, CYN’S MAGIC contacted the heels of CHAMPAGNE SALLY, both runners were checked. Out of the turn into the back straight, DEL REY contacted the heels of CHAMPAGNE SALLY, shifted out and collided with FINAL CHALICE, which was checked. Out of the back straight into the turn, CHAMPAGNE SALLY was tightened for room and checked.

 

A post-race veterinary examination of CHAMPAGNE SALLY failed to reveal any abnormalities.

 

Race 7 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY QUEENSLAND CUP 600 (G3) HEAT 2 | OPEN | 600M

 

Approaching the first turn BIG BAD BOB and INFRARED LAD were tightened for room and checked. GELANTIPY GOLD was tightened for room and hampered. Out of the turn into the front straight, BIG BAD BOB checked out across heels. Out of the turn into the back straight, FLYAWAY BARB was tightened for room and hampered. BIG BAD BOB shifted out to avoid that runner’s heels.

 

A post-race veterinary examination of INFRARED LAD revealed the greyhound had sustained an injury to the near hind leg. The greyhound was subsequently stood down for a period of seven days.

 

Race 8 – FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE | BEST 8 | 520M

 

WISE MISTY and ARDEN STREET were slow to begin. Approaching the first turn, RICHMOND ROAD, STEAL A KISS and WISE MISTY were all tightened for room and checked. Out of the back straight into the turn, WISE MISTY contacted the heels of STEAL A KISS, both runners were hampered. Shortly after, WISE MISTY checked out across heels.

 

Race 9 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | GRADE 5 | 520M

 

ELUSIVE ARROW was best to begin. FABIO MARSHA and DOLCETTO HAYZE collided. Shortly after the start, WILDASH JAKEY and ELUSIVE ARROW collided. DOLCETTO HAYZE and WHO NOSE SIZE were both tightened for room and checked. Approaching the winning post, WAZZA SAID collided with ELUSIVE ARROW. On entering the first turn, ELUSIVE ARROW and WAZZA SAID were both tightened for room and checked. WAZZA SAID shifted out and collided with PRIZE IZMIR. FABIO MARSHA collided with ELUSIVE ARROW, which was severely checked and almost fell. WAZZA SAID raced wide in the back straight.

 

Race 10 – MARBURG HOTEL | GRADE 5 | 520M

 

ALPHA CHAOS was slow to begin. GLORIOUS IZMIR collided with SHE’S SOME GAL and was checked. Shortly after the start, GALWAY LUDWIG was tightened for room and checked. Approaching the first turn, GLORIOUS IZMIR improved onto heels and shifted out. TOP VILLA and EMPIRE STATE bumped. Out of the back straight into the turn, GALWAY LUDWIG contacted the heels of NIVEK RETSERROF. Over the concluding stages of the event, GALWAY LUDWIG and GLORIOUS IZMIR were both tightened for room and checked.
