Race 1: SKY RACING Novice – 520m

FABIAN FEAST began awkwardly. TIENNE TEA was slow to begin. Shortly after the start LIL MISS LOLLY shifted inwards and bumped ANGEL GEAR, resulting in that runner to be hampered and lose ground. In the front straight PINES PICK checked off heels and lost ground. Entering the turn out of the front straight ANGEL GEAR shifted outwards and collided with TIENNE TEA resulting in both runners to be checked and to lose ground. Entering the turn out of the back straight FABIAN FEAST was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the home straight PINES PICK and LIL MISS LOLLY bumped.

HAY HAZ underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no abnormalities were found.

Race 2: ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND 5^th Grade – 520m

WAZZA WHO began awkwardly. At the start ALPHA ULYSSES shifted inwards and tightened the running of ROCKFORD, SUPER CUP, and WAZZA WHO resulting in those greyhounds to lose ground. In the front straight WAZZA WHO took an awkward stride and became momentarily unbalanced. Also in the front straight, SUPER CUP and ROCKFORD bumped and were hampered. Rounding the turn into the home straight ROCKFORD and SUPER CUP collided and lost ground.

Race 3: THIRTY TALKS @ STUD Masters 5^th Grade – 520m
SON OF BETTY was very slow to begin. Through the front straight another Norris shifted inwards and tightened the running of BRINDI CHOPPER, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. PAUA TO LAUNCH, which was trailing, was hampered as a consequence.

Race 4: BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY Masters 5^th Grade – 520m

RULE THE ROAD was slow to begin. In the front straight AND YOU ARE was tightened for room and checked. Approaching the turn out of the front straight, AZA ZEUS was tightened for room and checked. Through the turn into the back straight RULE THE ROAD checked off heels. Rounding the turn into the home straight FRIENDZ shifted outwards, turn its head and collided with JIMARY FREE, making muzzle contact. Both greyhounds were checked as a consequence. AND YOU ARE raced wide for a majority of the event.

The trainer of FRIENDZ, Mr Gary Mackay, was advised the greyhound would be penalised pursuant to GAR 69 for Marring. As this is the greyhounds’ first offence under this rule, it will be stood down for 28 days at Albion Park, and must complete a satisfactory trial prior to being permitted to start again.

Race 5: MARBURG HOTEL Mixed 4/5^th Grade – 520m

Shortly after the start CAN’T POSSIBLY lost ground after being bumped by SUPER CESC, with that greyhound shifting inwards and colliding with TOO GOOD JOOG, which was checked and shifted inwards, colliding with HARA’S DAZZA, which was hampered. Approaching the turn out of the front straight CYN’S MAGIC took an awkward stride and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight SUPER CESC checked off heels. SONIC THUNDER raced wide rounding the turn out of the front straight and into the back straight. SONIC THUNDER shifted out on the turn out of the back straight and commenced to give ground. Rounding the turn into the home straight SUPER CESC and CYN’S MAGIC bumped.

SONIC THUNDER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be injured in the off-side wrist. A 10 days stand down period was imposed.

CYN’S MAGIC underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be injured in the off-side hip. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Race 6: TAB Mixed 4/5^th Grade – 600m

Through the turn into the front straight on the first occasion, SLICK was tightened for room, checked and shift outwards, tightening the running of ALONSO MORNAY and CARIBBEAN RED, resulting in those greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Entering the turn out of the front straight, SLICK was tightened for room, checked and lost ground. Through the turn into the home straight on the second occasion, RASHEDA checked off heels.

Race 7: GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM Free For All – 710m

Through the turn, out of the back straight on the first occasion, ROCKY SPIES and DOUBLE GEE bumped and shifted outwards on the turn. Through the turn into the front straight on the first occasion, TIMES A BONUS checked off the heels of DOUBLE GEE when that runner shifted inwards.

Race 8: EXPAT LODGE Best 8 – 520m

Shortly after the start IT’S DYLLAN was tightened for room and checked. Approaching the turn out of the front straight ADHARA STEEL checked off heels. Rounding the turn into the back straight CODRINGTON KID and LOCH FREDDIE bumped. Rounding the turn out of the back straight, ADHARA STEEL was tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the home straight, IT’S DYLLAN was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.

Race 9: FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE Grade 5 – 520m

VISION OF LOVE jumped prior to the boxes opening and made contact with the inside of the lids. ALPHA STYX was tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Entering the turn out of the front straight DOLCETTO HAYZE and KENDALL was tightened for room, severely checked and lost considerable ground. VISION OF LOVE, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence. Rounding the turn into the home straight TAIL WAG checked off heels.

Race 10: ZILLMERE SPORTS Grade 5 – 520m

Approaching the first turn, FINAL VERDICT was tightened for room, checked and lost ground. Entering the first turn, ONE EL was tightened for room and severely checked. HUNTER KINGSBRAE, which was trailing, bumped with that runner. Rounding the turn out of the front straight FINAL VERDICT and ONE EL checked off heels. In the home straight RINGBARK ROSE checked off heels.
