Race 1 – MARBURG HOTEL | Grade M | 331m Even start with GOOD EYE and MAC WIGGLES marginally slow. In the back straight GOOD EYE shifted out checking CYCLONE PENNY resulting in ROSEAVILLA to be checked causing CYCLONE PENNY and ROSEAVILLA to lose ground. In the front straight GOOD EYE and TUTA SHERRY raced wide. GOOD EYE - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 2 – BRISGREYS ON INSTAGRAM Maiden F | Grade M | 331m Even start with BLENDED slow. Leaving the turn out of the back straight CHARIOT OF FIRE raced wide. Rounding the turn into the front straight TINKER BEN and CANDY SPARKLES bump. In the front straight CHARIOT OF FIRE and BLENDED race wide. RUSTY UTE - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a puncture injury near the fore leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days. BLENDED - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 3 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND | Grade NOV | 331m COYBIG was best to begin with BEV’S REMISSION slow. Shortly after the start BEV’S REMISSION got onto the hind quarters of TICA BOO BOO causing both greyhounds to lose ground. Leaving the back straight BEV’S REMISSION and TICA BOO BOO bumped. Rounding the turn into the front straight SILENT CANNON shifted out checking COYBIG and ZAMBORA SPUR, causing COYBIG and ZAMBORA SPUR to lose ground.
Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD | Grade M5 | 331m DISCO DOLLY was best to begin with CROW NULLA marginally slow. Shortly after the start HELLO BREE was tight for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight DISCO DOLLY and CROW NULLA bumped causing DISCO DOLLY to lose ground. In the front straight HELLO BREE raced wide.
Race 5 – TWITTER @BRISGREYS | Grade 5 | 331m RAVEN JOE was best to begin. Shortly after the start POPPYCOCK and TAM’S GIRL collided causing both greyhounds to be hampered. In the back straight RAVEN JOE and CHESTERTON collided causing both greyhounds to lose ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight RAVEN JOE shifted out checking CHESTERTON and LUCK’S GONE causing all greyhounds to race wide and lose ground. In the front straight LUCK’S GONE and POPPYCOCK raced wide.
Race 6 – EXPAT LODGE | Grade 4 | 331m MISTER CHAOS was best to begin. Shortly after the start MODERN GODDESS clipped heels. Rounding the turn out of the back straight RUN MONTY RUN clipped heels causing STILTON SMILEY and MODERN GODDESS to be checked resulting in STILTON SMILEY and MODERN GODDESS to lose ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight STILTON SMILEY and MODERN GODDESS collided causing both greyhounds to lose ground. In the front straight KOORINGA THEO raced wide. MODERN GODDESS - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY | Grade 3 | 331m VELOCITY ZARIN was best to begin with IRONBARY RICKY marginally slow. Rounding the turn out of the back straight PINK TRICK shifted out checking SOLO MISSION, causing SOLO MISSION to lose ground. In the front straight PINK TRICK raced wide.
Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | Grade BT8 | 331m Even start with JET BLACK STAR marginally slow. Shortly after the start SHORT SESSION and GITCH ALLEY collided causing SHORT SESSION to fall and gave no further competitive part in the race, resulting in KEY FACTOR and MAGIC PLANK to be checked and lose ground. SHORT SESSION - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 9 – FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE | Grade 4/5 | 395m Even start with RINDA DES marginally slow. In the first turn all greyhounds except RINDA DES were tightened for racing room causing LUCA BAZOOKA and RINGBARK ACE to lose ground. Entering the back straight RINGBARK ACE clipped heels and was hampered. Rounding the turn out of the back straight SWEET KAOS and MASTER KINLOCH collided. At the same time COMETRON FLYER and SENOR DYLAN bumped causing SENOR DYLAN to lose ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight LUCA BAZOOKA clipped heels, at the same time RINGBARK ACE bumped the running rail. In the front straight LUCA BAZOOKA and RINDA DES raced wide. RINGBARK ACE - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards spoke to S Lawrence about RINGBARK ACE’s performance where she stated the greyhound didn’t jump as well and copped a lot of interference in the race. Miss Lawrence also stated that the greyhounds’ preparation hadn’t changed and she’s hadn’t supported the greyhound.
Race 10 – ZILMERE SPORTS | Grade 5 | 331m MERLIN’S MAID was best to begin with SHIFTING COLOUR marginally slow. Rounding the turn into the front straight MIND YA BUSINESS raced wide. In the front straight MIND YA BUSINESS raced wide.
Race 11 – SKY RACING | Grade M5 | 331m TOOTHLESS STEVE was best to begin. Shortly after the start FONIC LASS was tightened for racing room and lost ground. In the back straight TOOTHLESS STEVE was tightened for racing room resulting in BLACKJACK BETTY to clip heels and lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight all greyhounds except DESTINI COMET collided and lost ground to differing degrees. Approaching the turn into the front straight WILD CONNECTION and TOOTHLESS STEVE collided causing TOOTHLESS STEVE to lose ground. In the front straight FONIC LASS clipped heels, shifted out and lost ground. In the front straight FONIC LASS raced wide. TOOTHLESS STEVE - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a musculoskeletal gracilis tear to the right hind leg and stood down for 28 days.
