Race 1 – TAB | Grade M | 395m CAGE TO RATTLE was best to begin, VELOUR RUMBLE was marginally slow. In the first turn, ROSEAVILLA was checked and lost ground. STYLISH MAKEUP and VELOUR RUMBLE raced wide through the turn out of the back straight, with STYLISH MAKEUP continuing to race wide into the front straight. ROSE TEXADA shifted out through the turn into the front straight and collided with STYLISH MAKEUP, with both greyhounds losing considerable ground as a consequence. Race 2 – Sky Racing | Grade M | 395m RARE PICK was best to begin; LAZARETH was marginally slow. At the first turn, BOGAN WARRIOR checked off heels and lost ground. RUMBLE CENTRAL and RARE PICK both raced wide through the turn out of the back straight, then checked, losing considerable ground as a result. IT AIN’T CYNDIE raced wide through the turn into the front straight. RUMBLE CENTRAL and LAZARETH bumped just prior to the finish. Race 3 – Asset Body Corporate Bribie Island Maiden F | Grade M | 395m MAGIC DANCER was best to begin, KOORINGA ZOE and SIR PANTSALOT were both marginally slow. Approaching the first turn HAY CHICKIE and STELLAR STAR were tightened for racing room, checked, and lost ground. Shortly after SON OF VILLA checked off heels and also lost ground. Leaving the first turn TITAN IT UP checked off heels and lost ground. At the same time HAY CHICKIE and STELLAR STAR checked again and lost further ground. HAY CHICKIE - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Race 4 – Marburg Hotel | Grade NOV | 395m WAMBERAL BOY was best to begin, FABIO MARSHA was marginally slow. Approaching the first turn SWEET PURSUIT shifted in, which severely inconvenienced FABIO MARSHA, DEEP EMOTION and MIXED SPICE, causing all of those greyhounds to lose ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight WAMBERAL BOY was checked and lost ground. MISTER MORK which was racing to the outside was inconvenienced and also lost ground. WAMBERAL BOY raced wide through the turn out of the back straight, and then raced very wide through the turn into the front straight. Race 5 – Expat Lodge | Grade 5 | 395m ZEPHYR ZIP was best to begin; TRAV SAID and TOOKA TRIP were both slow. At the first turn, MR GAMBLER checked off heels and lost considerable ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight CLASSY ARIA was hampered and lost ground. Leaving the turn out of the back straight MR GAMBLER commenced to yield ground. Shortly after TOOKA TRIP collided heavily into MR GAMBLER, causing TOOKA TRIP to lose significant ground and MR GAMBLER to take no further competitive part in the event. MR GAMBLER - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days. Race 6 – Thirty Talks @ Stud | Grade 5 | 520m BIG LITTLE LIES was best to begin, RUMBLE MASTER and SHIELD ME were both marginally slow. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, BIG LITTLE LIES checked off heels and lost considerable ground. BRINDALEE which was trailing, was severely inconvenienced and also lost considerable ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight DRINKING ROCKETS and BRINDALEE collided on a number of occasions, and lost substantial ground. Approaching the conclusion of the race DRINKING ROCKETS deviated its attention to the greyhound racing to its outside and made muzzle contact, and was subsequently charged with Marring (1st Offence) under Rule 69, and was stood down for a period of 28 days and 1 satisfactory Stewards trial. Race 7 – Garrard’s Horse and Hound | Grade 4/5 | 395m KATIE WHO and BLUE TEXADA were both best to begin; SPRITELY BILL and APACHE VALLEY were both slow. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, NORTHERN GIRL was checked and lost ground. Race 8 – Fabregas @ Stud 5th Grade F | Grade 5 | 395m MOSCOW MULE was best to begin; ELI RED FAWN was marginally slow. At the first turn, MY WINDSONG, COPY WORKSHOP and BURRUM EAGLE raced tight and bumped. Leaving the first turn into the back straight BURRUM EAGLE checked off heels and lost considerable ground. At the same time MOSCOW MULE checked off heels and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight MOSCOW MULE improved onto the heels of GAZ’S GIRL, causing both those greyhounds to be severely inconvenienced. ELI RED FAWN, which was trailing, was also inconvenienced. GAZ’S GIRL - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Race 9 – BOX1PHOTOGRAPHY.COM | Grade BT8 | 395m DAISY DREAMS was marginally slow to begin. At the first turn, SENORITA DUDE and CYNDIE WHO were both checked and lost substantial ground. SENORITA DUDE raced wide through the turn out of the back straight. RAQUEL’S MAGIC raced wide through the turn into the front straight. RAQUEL’S MAGIC underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be suffering from P.E.D.S. Connections were advised that the greyhound would be stood down for a period of 10 days, require a veterinary certificate and complete a satisfactory stewards trial prior to being permitted to compete again. CYNDIE WHO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be suffering from severe P.E.D.S. Connections advised stewards that the greyhound would be immediately transported to a local emergency veterinary practise however, the greyhound was found to be deceased on arrival. Stewards subsequently ordered that the greyhound be collected and transported to the University of Queensland for an autopsy. Race 10 – Greyhound Adoption Program | Grade 5 | 395m EMMAVILLE BELLA was best to begin, POPPYCOCK and COLOR PURPLE were slow. BOGAN DOLL and HARA’S SHADOW checked at the first turn, causing BOGAN DOLL to lose ground. Race 11 – Zillmere Sports Club | Grade 5 | 395m HAY HONEY was best to begin, REGAL CYNDIE was slow. Approaching the first turn, JEMMA’S MAGIC was checked and lost ground. Leaving the first turn, JEMMA’S MAGIC was checked once again and lost substantial ground. CHASING DOLLARS raced very wide through the turn into the front straight. Race 12 – The Manly Hotel | Grade P5 | 395m CALL ME AUSSIE was best to begin. In the first turn NACHO GRANDE was severely checked and lost substantial ground. MISSY FERGUS raced wide through the turn into the front straight.
