The greyhound Tooka Trip who was involved in a stewards trial underwent a post-trial veterinary examination which revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the off hock and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
Race 1 - FAST TIMES @ SIRES ON ICE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 2 395m 1 Missile Lass- Checked entering the turn out of the back straight. Forced wide into front straight. 4 Foxton Haymaker- Checked at the start. 6 Go Gypsy Go- Checked entering first turn. Commenced to give ground in the back straight. Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the greyhound sustained an injury to the near hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days. 7 Rapid Black- Checked off heels entering the turn out of the back straight. Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 2 395m 1 Premier Gambler- Checked at the start. Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 2 Car Fifty Four- Checked at the start. Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 3 Angry Monsoon- Checked at the start. Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 4 King Blue- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 5 Farmor Crownies- Best to begin. 7 Birkdale Beater- Wide through turn into the front straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the greyhound to have sustained near pin and near wrist 10 day stand down period was imposed. Race 3 – GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN HEAT 3 MAIDEN 2 395m 1 Angry Blizzard- Collided with another runner into the first turn and was checked. 2 Gate Code- Collided with another runner into the first turn and was severely checked causing the greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any abnormalities. 3 Angry Hurricane- Collided with another runner into the first turn and was checked. 4 Cilla Prevails- Checked at the start. 5 Peter Talks- Collided with another runner into the first turn and was checked. 8 Expat Chevelle- Collided with another runner into the first turn and was checked Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD BEST 8 2 395m 1 Eli Red Fawn- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was severely checked. Had its heels contacted entering the turn out of the back straight. 2 Cosmo Bill- Checked entering first turn. Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked. Checked off heels entering the turn out of the back straight. 4 Captain's Knock- Checked entering first turn. 8 Ironbar Ricky- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was severely checked. Race 5 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND NOVICE 2 395m 1 Lenny Talks- Quick to begin. Collided with another runner entering the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner through the turn into the front straight and was checked. 2 Moola Bella- Collided with another runner entering the first turn and was checked. 5 Cool Dude- Collided with another runner entering the first turn and was severely checked resulting in the greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any abnormalities. 6 Take A Chance- Collided with another runner through the turn into the front straight and was checked. 7 Trav's Out- Slow to begin. Collided with another runner entering the first turn and was checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any abnormalities. 8 Statue Sis- Hampered in the turn out of the back straight. Race 6 – EXPAT LODGE 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 2 395m 2 Wee Jackie- Tightened for room through the first turn and was checked. 3 Winning Light- Tightened for room through the first turn and was checked. 4 Missy Fergus- Collided with another runner entering the back straight and was severely checked. 5 Alpha Styx- Collided with another runner entering the back straight and was severely checked. Wide in back & front straight. 6 About Ready- Slow to begin.
