General: Due to the forecast temperature of 35 degrees celsius, today’s meeting was conducted under the conditions of the QRIC Hot Weather Policy.
Race 1 - SKY RACING MAIDEN 331m 1 Sweet List – bumped by another runner in the back straight and lost ground. 2 Rolling Smoke – bumped with another runner in the back straight and lost ground. 4 Hamish Ross – slow to begin. Shifted out on the turn out of the back straight, hampering other runners. Bumped by another runner, which was shifting outwards, when rounding the turn into the home straight and lost ground. 5 Waikarie Elle – marginally slow to begin. Bumped shortly after the start and lost ground. 6 Enjoy The Vision – slow to begin. Shifted out when rounding the turn into the home straight, bumped with another runner and was momentarily hampered. 7 Magic Billy – bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Checked off heels when entering the turn out of the back straight. Race 2 – GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 331m 1 Jazz Button – collided with another runner, which was shifting outwards, when approaching the turn out of the back straight, was checked and lost ground when racing wider on the turn as a consequence. Checked off heels when entering the home straight. 2 Oaks Little Miss 3 Little Ferrari – tightened for room when approaching the turn out of the back straight, checked and shifted outwards colliding with other runners. Checked off heels when entering the home straight. 4 Aerobic Zone – proved extremely difficult to load in the starting boxes. Trainer D. Makowiecki was advised the greyhound would be declared “Hard-To-Box” under the provisions of R52 for its future starts. – collided with another runner, which was shifting outwards, when approaching the turn out of the back straight, was checked and lost ground when racing wider on the turn as a consequence. 6 Wildash Georgia – tightened for room when entering the back straight and lost ground. 7 Cha Cha Kay – tightened for room when entering the back straight and lost ground. 8 Missy Rose – tightened for room when entering the back straight and lost ground. Checked off heels when rounding the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a fracture to an off fore metacarpal and was stood down for 28 days. The greyhound was bandaged and received pain relief from the veterinary surgeon. Race 3 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD BEST 8 331m 1 Zulu Alert – bumped by another runner wen entering the back straight and was momentarily hampered. Tightened for racing room in the back straight, checked and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. 3 Jimmy Stintson – tightened between runners shortly after the start and was momentarily hampered. 4 Magic Gypsy – tightened between runners and checked when entering the back straight. 7 Ima Necromancer – tightened between runners and checked when entering the back straight. 8 Mister Chaos – slow to begin. Race 4 – EXPAT LODGE BEST 8 395m 1 Gaz's Girl – bumped with other runners through the first turn and lost ground. 2 Lafai – bumped with other runners through the first turn and lost ground. 3 Apache Valley – tightened between runners when entering the first turn and was checked. 4 Kingsbrae Raylen – bumped with other runners through the first turn and lost ground. 8 Zulu Plastique – At the trainer’s request, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Slow to begin. Race 5 – FAST TIMES @ SIRES ON ICE MA5 395m 2 La Bamba – marginally slow to begin. 3 Mandela Cloud – contacted on the hindquarters by another runner and was hampered. 4 Let's Go Fabio – marginally slow to begin. 5 Cruising Stella – tightened for racing room through the first turn, was severely checked and lost ground. 7 Kulu Ruby – improved onto the hindquarters of another runner and was checked. 8 Kulu Jasper – marginally slow to begin. Race 6 – TWITTER @ BRISGREYS MIXED 4/5 395m 3 Sky Breanna – bumped by another runner through the first turn, was checked and lost ground. 4 Kulu Cooper – bumped with another runner on jumping and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to be injured in the offside hind back muscle and was stood down for 21 days. 5 Bolt Of Lighting – tightened between runners on jumping and lost ground. 6 Pine's Pick – bumped with another runner on jumping and lost ground. 7 Chardonnay Mum – shifted inwards on the first turn, bumped with another runner, was severely checked and lost considerable ground. Race 7 – TAB GRADE 5 (1) 520m 1 Irinka Tina – slow to begin. Improved onto the heels of another runner when rounding the turn into the back straight, then shifted outwards and collided with another runner resulting in Irinka Tina to be severely checked and to fall, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have injury to the offside pin muscle and was stood down for 10 days. 4 Smart Cha Cha – galloped on by another runner when rounding the turn into the back straight. 5 Xella Angel – bumped with another runner when approaching the first turn and lost ground. Bumped with another runner when rounding the turn into the back straight and was checked. Bumped another runner when entering the turn out of the back straight. 6 Uno Uno – bumped with another runner when approaching the first turn and lost ground. Checked off the heels of another runner when rounding the turn into the back straight and lost ground. 7 Counter Fire – slow to begin. Bumped by another runner when entering the turn out of the back straight. Race 8 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND GRADE 5 (2) 520m 2 Outback Mandrake – bounding in the air on jumping and was subsequently slow to begin. Bumped shortly after the start and was checked. 3 Waikarie Willow – tightened for room shortly after the start and was checked. Shifted out wider on the first turn to avoid the heels of another runner. 4 Cheap Wine – checked off heels when approaching the first turn, shifted out and bumped with another runner, and subsequently lost ground. Race 9 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MIXED 4/5 331m 2 Noaki Queen – slow to begin. 3 Daydreaming – tightened for room when entering the back straight and was momentarily hampered. 4 Coybig – dictated out wider in the back straight when another runner was hampered and shifted outwards. 6 Tuta Time – checked off heels when approaching the turn out of the back straight. 7 Ramblin' Rose – became unbalanced when racing round the turn out of the back straight, shifted inwards from its wide position and bumped with another runner then lost ground. 8 Kingsbrae Boy – slow to begin. Race 10 – FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE 5PW 331m 1 Tommy's Beach – slow to begin. Improved onto the heels of another runner when approaching the turn out of the back, was checked, shifted wider and bumped with another runner, and subsequently lost ground. 5 Peroni Beach – bumped by another runner when approaching the turn out of the back straight, was severely checked and lost ground. 7 Hara's Shadow – bumped by another runner when approaching the turn out of the back straight, was hampered and lost ground. |
