General: After heavy rainfall during the running of race 7 the remaining races were delayed while an inspection of the track surface was conducted by stewards and club officials. Once the rain eased track curators were able to tend to the surface and wash outs to allow for safe racing. All races were put back one.
In preparation to recommence the race meeting further heavy showers eroded the remedial works previously done and a further delay was advised. An inspection was again conducted by stewards and club officials. In consultation it was assessed that any further remedial works would be doubtful with the continued rainfall and forecasts. The remainder of the race meeting (race 8, 9 & 10) was abandoned due to the state of the track. _________________
