Other Comments / Explanations: Trainer John Hutchinson reported that the Greyhound “Rear View” which was injured at Albion Park on Sunday night was successfully operated on today and will now be retired from racing and be homed a s a pet.
Race 1 - PACERS & CHASERS NOV/M 520m 1 Zabdon Opium – checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. Raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight. 3 Where's The Ruby – checked approaching the turn out of the front straight. 4 Tribal Magic - checked approaching the turn out of the front straight. Checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. 8 Idle High - checked approaching the turn out of the front straight.
Race 2 – SKY RACING MA5 395m 2 Smashniak Winx – had its heels contacted by another runner and checked approaching the first turn. 3 Maywyn Emeralds – checked leaving the back straight. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed no injuries. 5 Another Red – commenced to give ground leaving the back straight when appeared injured and retired from the race. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have fractured its off hind leg, first aid treatment was administered and the Greyhound left the course for further Veterinarian x-rays and care. Stood down from racing for 8 weeks and must provide a Veterinary certificate before returning to racing.
Race 3 – TAB - LONG MAY WE PLAY MIXED 3/4 395m 4 Magical Cyndie – checked shortly after the start. Checked leaving the back straight. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed no injuries. 5 Velocity Zarin – checked through the first turn. Commenced to give ground in the back straight when appeared injured to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have injured its off shoulder and was stood down from racing for 8 weeks and must produce a Vet Certificate before returning to racing. 8 Smart Werina - checked through the first turn.
Race 4 – FAST TIMES @ SIRES ON
ICE MIXED 4/5 395m 2 Smashniak Batman - checked through the first turn. 5 Ava Surprise – shifted out shortly after the start. Checked rounding the turn into the front straight. 6 Regal Waz – checked shortly after the start. Checked through the first turn. 7 Queen Supreme - checked shortly after the start. Checked through the first turn.
Race 5 – GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND R5 600m 5 Always Forever - checked shortly after the start. 7 Positive Gearing - Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed no injuries. When questioned trainer J Bowe stated that the Greyhound was having its 2nd race start back from having recovered from a virus and was of the view that it may have been a bit on the flat side in tonight’s event. He further stated that he now intends to trial the Greyhound on a number of occasions before returning to racing.
Race 6 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 520m 1 Xella Angel – checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. 2 Molly Madness - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. 4 Magic Miss - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. Checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. 9 Gloves Back On –slow to begin. Checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. 7 Lucky Duke - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. 8 Smart Cha Cha - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.
Race 7 – ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 520m 2 Good Vibrations - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. 3 Kooringa Thelly – checked entering the back straight. 4 Kingsbrae Clarky – checked shortly after the start. 5 Blended - checked shortly after the start. Checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. 6 Stormy Shari - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. 7 Cha Cha Kay - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.
Race 8 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND BEST 8 395m 1 Lafai – checked through the first turn. 2 Kuranya - checked through the first turn. 3 Sweet Ella - checked through the first turn. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have injured its nearside shoulder and was stood down from racing for 7 days. 5 Crazy Emjay - checked through the first turn.
Race 9 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 5 395m 1 Tarks Tammy Rose – raced wide on the turn into the front straight. 2 Turanza Tiger – slow to begin. 6 Flying September – checked through the first turn. Raced wide in the back straight. 8 Shadow Blitz - checked through the first turn.
