Other Comments / Explanations: “Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races”
General- Stewards held kennelling open for a further 8 mins in an attempt to contact Mr. L Topping regarding the non-presentation of his runners Beau’s Image and Miss Grasscutter. Stewards declared the late scratching of both runners at 2.17pm.
Race 1 - SKY RACING MAIDEN 2 395m 1 Junior's Legacy- Quick to begin. 3 Celtic Dream- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked. Collided with another runner through the turn out of the back straight and was checked. 4 Deb's Blue Boy- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 5 Rattie's Son- Quick to begin. Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner through the turn out of the back straight and was checked. 7 Opal Prince- Tightened for room over the concluding stages of the event and inconvenienced . 8 Fifth Choice- Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked. 9 (Box 6) Coquina Clutch- Slow to begin.
Race 2 – DAVE BRETT MEMORIAL HEAT 1 MAIDEN 2 520m 1 She's Snowy- Quick to begin. Had its heels contacted entering the first turn and was severely checked. Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked. Checked when entering the home straight. 4 Cyclone Rocket- Bumped shortly after the start. 6 Columbian King- Marginally slow to begin. Contacted the heels of another runner entering the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner entering the back straight and was checked. Collided with another runner entering the home straight and was checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr. Hosking inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Columbian King come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable.
Race 3 – DAVE BRETT MEMORIAL HEAT 2 MAIDEN 2 520m 1 Madam Waltz- Quick to begin. 2 Hara's Bonnie- Tightened for room entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked. 3 Blue Bandana- Shifted in immediately after the start. Checked off heels through the first turn. 6 Extra Coins- Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. 7 Blue Day- Slow to begin. Hampered through the first turn and forced wider on the track.
Race 4 – SELL YOUR CAR @ MOTORHUB NOVICE 2 395m 1 Spasmodic Star- Quick to begin. 2 Stylish Suzie- Collided with another runner entering the back straight and was checked. 3 Pads And Paws- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked. 4 Aristocratic Gal- Marginally slow to begin and tightened immediately after the start. Checked off heels approaching the turn out of the back straight. 7 Trounced- Shifted out in the home straight and bumped another runner. 8 Little Engine- Very slow to begin. Bumped another runner in the home straight.
Race 5 – GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MIXED 4/5 2 331m 1 Beau's Image- Late scratching due to non-appearance 2.17pm. 3 Banjo's Issue- Tightened for room shortly after the start and checked. Tightened for room entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked. 4 Daydreaming- Marginally slow to begin. Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked. 7 Kid Sunrise- Marginally slow to begin.
Race 6 – EXPAT LODGE 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 2 395m 1 Shilo- Inconvenienced through the turn out of the back straight. 3 Golly Goodness- Tightened for room shortly after the start and checked. Collided with another runner entering the home straight. 5 Shadow Blitz- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner entering the home straight. 6 Lady Opal- Quick to begin. 8 Oh So Ella- Slow to begin. Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked.
Race 7 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 2 395m 1 Fine Silhouette- Failed to begin with the field after turning in the starting boxes. Stewards spoke to Mr. Hazelgrove, the trainer of Fine Silhouette regarding the greyhounds performance at the start. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory and issued a charge in accordance with GAR52(1), Fine Silhouette must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. 2 Adelina- Collided with another runner in the home straight and was checked. 3 Rimini- Quick to begin. 4 Turnkey Creek- Collided with another runner leaving the first turn and was checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside hip and was stood down from racing for 14 days. 5 Hi Que- Slow to begin. 6 Nurse’s Choice- Bumped with another runner over the concluding stages of the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside pin muscle and was stood down from racing for 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. C Anderson, regarding the greyhounds racing manners over the concluding stages of the event. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Nurse’s Choice was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Nurse’s Choice must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 69B(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Race 8 – FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE GRADE 5 3 520m 2 Messy Man- Quick to begin. 7 Miss Grasscutter- Late scratching due to non-appearance 2.17pm.
Race 9 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND OPEN 2 395m 1 Jasper The Jet- Quick to begin. 8 Fernando Bee- Slow to begin.
Race 10 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 2 395m 1 Coconut Lass- Inconvenienced shortly after the start when crossed by another runner. 2 Cool Change- Quick to begin. 3 Kravitz- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 4 Dynamo Waz- Marginally slow to begin. Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked. Checked off heels entering the turn out of the back straight. 6 Recreational- Quick to begin.
