Other Comments / Explanations: Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races.
Race 1 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 520m 2 Prince Cosmic – tightened for room at the first turn. 3 Magical Rose – turned in the boxes and missed the start. Connections were advised that the greyhound would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to being permitted to nominate again. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. 7 Hara's Olaf – tightened for room and hampered out of the back straight. 8 Northern Ripple – quick to begin.
Race 2 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MIXED 4/5 710m 1 Federal Elle – was quick to begin. 2 Any Credit Yetta – collided with another runner and was checked at the first turn. 4 Always Forever – collided with another runner and was hampered at the first turn.
Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE MIXED 4/5 520m 2 Are Jay Junior – began awkwardly and lost ground. 4 Techno Hornet – tightened for room and checked at the first turn. 5 Wazz's Out – slow to begin. 7 Isnt She Special – tightened for room and checked out across heels shortly after the start. Collided with another runner on entering the front straight and was checked. 8 She's Some Gal – collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked. Collided with another runner on entering the front straight and was checked.
Race 4 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 5 (1) 520m 1 Logo – bumped another runner first turn. 2 Magical Bill – bumped another runner first turn. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. 3 Slipknot – slow to begin. Tightened for room and checked through the first turn. Checked out across heels on entering the back straight. 5 Magic Miss – tightened for room and checked out across heels at the first turn. 7 Flying Jet – bumped another runner first turn. 8 Swift Dancer – slow to begin.
Race 5 – DAVE BRETT MEMORIAL FINAL MAIDEN 520m 1 Blue Day – bumped another runner at the first turn and was hampered. 2 Madam Waltz – bumped another runner at the first turn and was hampered. 4 Rapid Black - tightened for room and checked out across heels through the first turn. 5 Cyclone Rocket – slow to begin. Checked off heels at the first turn. Bumped another runner through the first turn. 6 Jaydo's Jet – checked out across heels and collided with another runner on entering the front straight. 8 Marseille – collided with another runner on entering the front straight.
Race 6 – FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE GRADE 5 600m 2 Eight Green Cans – quick to begin. Collided with another runner leaving the front straight and was checked. 3 Oblivinator – quick to begin. Bumped another runner leaving the front straight. 4 Nikki Nettle – quick to begin. Had its heels contacted by another runner through the first turn and was checked. 6 Waikarie Bell – slow to begin. 8 Lil Bit Foxy – collided with another runner through the first turn.
Race 7 – TAB EASTER TROPHY FINAL GRADE 5 520m 1 Magical Hope – tightened for room and hampered at the first turn. 2 Let's Go Ozzi – bumped another runner through the turn into the front straight. Collided with another runner in the back straight. 3 Hara's Clyde – checked out across heels at the first turn. Forced wide through the turn and into the front straight by another runner. 5 Magical Cyndie – quick to begin. 8 Head Bairn – was slow to begin. Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with Hara’s Clyde through the turn and into the front straight. Trainer S Lawrance was advised that the greyhound would be suspended from competing at Albion Park and until the completion of a satisfactory trial, marring 1st offence. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
Race 8 – FAST TIMES @ SIRES ON ICE BEST 8 520m 1 Shakey Diesel – tightened for room and checked at the first turn. Collided with another runner and was checked through the turn into the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. 4 Dynamic Bill – collided with another runner through the turn into the front straight.
Race 9 – SKY RACING GRADE 5 (2) 520m 1 Junior Jet – tightened for room and checked leaving the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near foreleg and Trainer R. Burman was advised that the greyhound would be stood down from competing for a period of 7 days. Mr Burman stated that he was disappointed with the performance and said he was anticipating a finish in the placings. Mr Burman added that he believed the interference leaving the back straight and the laceration found in the post-race veterinary examination contributed to the disappointing performance. 2 Riley Allen – collided with another runner shortly after the start. Checked out across heels through the first turn. 3 Yuken Pay Me – collided with another runner shortly after the start. 4 Sushi – collided with another runner shortly after the start. Improved onto heels leaving the back straight and was hampered. 5 Truthiness – quick to begin. 6 Dark Bandit – quick to begin.
Race 10 – SELL YOUR CAR @
MOTORHUB MA5 (1) 520m 3 John's Last – quick to begin. 4 Outback Mandrake – bumped another runner at the first turn.
Race 11 – ORSON ALLEN @ STUD MA5 (2) 520m 1 Brother Desy – tightened for room and hampered through the first turn. 5 Coybig – tightened for room and checked at the first turn. 7 Farmor In Tune – began awkwardly and lost ground. Tailed off and proved uncompetitive for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination of the greyhound revealed an injury to the near side back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days. Trainer S Topping was advised that a veterinary certificate is required prior to the greyhound being permitted to nominate. 8 Izy Gold – tightened for room over the concluding stages and was hampered.
