General: Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races. |

She’s Whistling – trainer G. Gilbert reported the greyhound had sustained an injury to the nearside triceps upon inspection after the race meeting. |

1 Aristocratic Gal – bumped with another runner when approaching the first turn, checked and lost ground. |

3 Pump It – checked when tightened for room shortly after the start. Checked off heels when approaching the first turn and lost ground. |

5 Circle The Wagon – slow to begin. Tightened for room and checked when rounding the turn into the back straight. Tightened for room and checked when rounding the turn out of the back straight. Bumped with another runner and lost ground when rounding the turn into the home straight. |

2 Madam Waltz – bumped with another runner approaching the first turn and was momentarily hampered. |

4 Slade – marginally slow to begin. Improved onto the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and was momentarily hampered. Buffeted between runners when entering the first turn, was checked and lost ground. |

7 Stylish Suzie – slow to begin. Checked off heels when approaching the first turn and lost ground. |

8 It's A Rush – slow to begin. Bumped shortly after the start and lost ground. |

Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE GRADE 5 (1) 520m |
1 Patty Mcginty – blundered at the start and was slow to begin. Improved onto the hindquarters of other runners shortly after start, was severely checked and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed soreness to the chest muscle and was stood down for 10 days. |

2 Cash Trail – bumped with another runner and checked shortly after the start. |

3 Buck Or Two – bumped with another runner and checked shortly after the start. Checked off heels when rounding the turn out of the front straight. |

Following the all clear, trainer C. Cassidy requested Stewards to review the placings of race 4, namely the 4th and 5th placings. Stewards heard evidence from the race day judge, reviewed the photo finish, and heard statements from trainer of Always Forever (5th), C. Cassidy and trainer of Preferred Lies, E. Raeburn (4th). After considering all evidence and their discretionary powers under GAR 63(1), stewards could not be comfortably satisfied the judge had made a mistake in placing Preferred Lies (4th) and Always Forever (5th) and confirmed the original numbers semaphored by the judge. |

6 Nikki Nettle – bumped with another runner when leaving the back straight and was momentarily hampered. |

1 Fine Silhouette – tightened for room, severely checked and lost considerable ground when leaving the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a back strain and was stood down for 7 days. |

3 Logo – bumped with another runner when entering the first turn, was checked and lost ground. |

5 Wazz's Out – marginally slow to begin. Bumped with another runner when entering the first turn, was checked and lost ground. |

8 Sesqui – slow to begin. Bumped with another runner when leaving the back straight and was momentarily hampered. |

1 No Clyde Needed – bumped with another runner when leaving the front straight. Bumped with another runner when entering the back straight and lost ground. |

2 Maywyn Cash – checked and lost ground when leaving the front straight. Bumped with another runner when entering the back straight and was momentarily hampered. |
|
3 Limited Edition – checked and lost ground when leaving the front straight. Bumped with another runner when entering the back straight and was momentarily hampered. Bumped when leaving the back straight. |

5 Belvedere Babe – slow to begin. Bumped with another runner shortly after the start and lost ground. Tightened for room and fell when approaching the first turn and took no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a severe compound fracture to the left front long bone. The greyhound was provided treatment and to be transported to a veterinary clinic for further assessment. Stewards will follow-up on the condition of the greyhound. Update 24/04/2020: Trainer R. Attard advised stewards Belvedere Babe was undergoing surgery and it was his intention, after recovery, to retire and continue her career as a brood bitch. |
