General:

Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races.

Race 1 - MICK BYRNE MEMORIAL HEAT 1 GRADE 5 520m

1 Touche Away – tightened for room and checked at the first turn. Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with Major Blip through the first turn. Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with Major Blip leaving the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound had sustained an injury to the near hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days. Trainer A. Boody was advised that the greyhound would be suspended from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory trial under GAR 69 – marring 1^st offence.

2 Wildash Trapper – quick to begin. Tightened for room and checked at the first turn.

3 Betty Jo – bumped another runner at the start. Raced wide through the first turn.

4 Len's Legacy – bumped another runner at the start.

5 Frog's Hollow – had its heels contacted by another runner at the first turn.

6 Proper Twelve – improved onto heels through the first turn and was checked.

7 Major Blip – collided with another runner through the first turn. Collided with another runner leaving the back straight.

8 Rio Valiente – slow away. Raced wide through the first turn.

Race 2 - MICK BYRNE MEMORIAL HEAT 2 GRADE 5 520m

1 Bow Baby – quick to begin. Bumped another runner over the concluding stages.

3 Micks Recall – quick to begin. Raced wide in the back straight. Bumped another runner over the concluding stages.

4 Eulogia – quick to begin.

5 Mighty Option – collided with another runner in the back straight.

7 Cheer Beckham – bumped another runner at the first turn.

8 Blue Bandana – slow away. Bumped another runner at the first turn. Collided with another runner in the back straight.

Race 3 - TAB QUEENSLAND CUP (G1) HEAT 1 OPEN 710m

2 Mac Roamin' – tightened for room at the first turn and was hampered.

4 Infrared Lad – tightened for room at the first turn and was hampered. Checked out across heels on entering the front straight (1^st occasion).

7 Classy Ethics – quick to begin.

Race 4 - TAB QUEENSLAND CUP (G1) HEAT 2 OPEN 710m

1 Big Boy Bruce – quick to begin.

2 Mahogany Row – tightened for room and checked leaving the back straight (2^nd occasion).

4 Bago Bluff – tightened for room and hampered at the first turn.

7 Rasheda – bumped another runner in the back straight (2^nd occasion).

Race 5 - SKY RACING BRISBANE CUP (G1) HEAT 1 OPEN 520m

1 Best Fit – collided with another runner shortly after the start. Collided with another runner in the front straight.

2 Magical Cyndie – quick to begin. Tightened for room on entering the back straight.

3 Shakey Diesel – collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked.

4 Sequana – bumped another runner at the first turn. Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked.

5 Security Code – collided with another runner shortly after the start. Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner in the front straight.

6 Black Opium – quick to begin.

7 Limited Edition – bumped another runner at the first turn. Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked.

8 It Ain't Billy – bumped another runner at the first turn.

Race 6 - SKY RACING BRISBANE CUP (G1) HEAT 2 OPEN 520m

1 Special Cyndie – bumped another runner at the start.

2 Magical Bill – bumped another runner at the start.

3 Magic Miss – quick to begin. Tightened for room and hampered at the first turn. Had its heels contacted by another runner through the turn into the front straight. 

6 Ash Star – contacted heels through the turn into the front straight.

7 Simon Told Helen – quick to begin.

8 Jasper The Jet – quick to begin.

Race 7 - SKY RACING BRISBANE CUP (G1) HEAT 3 OPEN 520m

1 Dervando – tightened for room and hampered leaving the back straight.

3 Federal Morgan – quick to begin.

7 Silver Stunner – improved onto heels and was hampered through the first turn.

8 Dynamic Bill – began awkwardly. Bumped another runner leaving the back straight.

Race 8 - SKY RACING BRISBANE CUP (G1) HEAT 4 OPEN 520m

1 Bobby The Brute – tightened for room and checked at the first turn.

2 Oh Mickey – quick to begin.

3 Wildash Jakey – bumped another runner at the first turn and was checked.

4 Hope's King – tightened for room and hampered.

6 Blue Bandit – bumped another runner at the first turn and was checked.

7 Dynamite Lucy – bumped another runner at the first turn and was checked.

8 Who Told Stevie – bumped another runner at the first turn.

Race 9 - MP SANITIZE MIXED 4/5 520m

Prior to the start of race 9, trainer R. Patching of Rockford boxed the greyhound into the incorrect starting box. Trainer R. Patching was immediately made aware of the error and subsequently removed the greyhound and placed Rockford into the correct starting box. Following the event, Stewards heard a statement from Mr. Patching who admitted to the error and subsequently imposed a monetary penalty of $100 under GAR 86(o) – negligence.

1 Mrs. Sing – quick to begin.

3 Rockford – tightened for room and hampered at the start.

4 Proper Gent – tightened for room and hampered at the start. Checked out across heels approaching the first turn. Collided with another runner at the first turn and was checked.

5 Banjo's Issue – tightened for room and hampered through the first turn.

7 One Two Win – collided with another runner at the first turn and was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound had sustained an injury to the near hind foot and was subsequently stood down for a period of 14 days.

8 Tipsy Four – collided with another runner at the first turn and was checked.

Race 10 - GPP LASER 3300 GRADE 5 520m

2 Truthiness – collided with another runner at the first turn and was checked. Tightened for room through the first turn.

3 Isnt She Special – quick to begin.

4 Brains – collided with another runner at the first turn and was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound had sustained an injury to the off wrist and was subsequently stood down for a period of 14 days.

5 Hope's Dynamic – collided with another runner at the first turn and was checked.

7 Split Sound – collided with another runner at the first turn and was checked.

8 Open My Mail – slow away. Collided with another runner at the first turn and was checked.

9 (6) Alpha Mania – quick to begin.

3 She's Some Gal – quick to begin.

4 Franky’s Wish – tightened for room and checked out across heels. Collided with another runner on entering the front straight.  

7 Galway Ludwig – slow away. Collided with another runner on entering the front straight.

8 No Clyde Needed – collided with another runner at the first turn.
