General:

Federal Wozza and Real Demon underwent veterinary examination’s after being previously stood down pursuant to GAR20 (3)(v) and were passed fit to race.

Race 1 - SENNACHIE @ STUD - STEVE WHITE MDNPW 331m

1 National Cheer- Marginally slow to begin.

2 Cheer White- Slow to begin.

3 Another Bunker- Quick to begin.

4 Crown Polly- Contacted heels approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked. Hampered when racing through the turn out of the back straight.   

6 Fifth Choice- Hampered when racing through the turn out of the back straight. Shifted out and checked of heels when entering the home straight. 

8 Canned Heat- Slow to begin.

Race 2 - EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS MAIDEN 331m

1 Dynamite Bill- Quick to begin.

2 No Licking- Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight, was severely checked and fell. Took no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

3 Venus Prevails-  Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked.

4 Fancy Licking- Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked. Immediately after, eased and turned its head outwards which caused the trailing runner to contact its heels and loose further ground.

Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the off side pim muscle and was stood down for a period of 14 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G Mitchell, regarding the greyhounds racing manners through the turn out of the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Fancy Licking was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Fancy Licking must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 69B(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

5 Whistle- Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked.

6 Antonio Talks- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was severely checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

7 Sky Runner- Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked. Contacted the heels of another runner when racing through the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

9 (Box 8) Farmor Guinness- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was severely checked.

Race 3 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 331m

2 Pink Flyer-  Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked.

3 Rolling Smoke- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked.

5 Delgalo- Quick to begin.

7 Crazy Cool- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

8 Tzardom- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

9 (Box 4) Rattie’s Girl- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a fractured near fore metacarpal and split webbing. Rattie’s Girl was provided pain relief and the affected limb was bandaged. Stewards acted on the recommendation of QRIC veterinarian Dr R Geisel and advised Mr Brauer that Rattie’s Girl must attend an external veterinary clinic for further assessment within 16 hours. Stewards will follow up on the outcome.

Rattie’s Girl was stood down for a period of 60 days and connections must provide a veterinary certificate before returning to racing.

Update 27/07/2020: Stewards spoke to the connections of Rattie’s Girl and were advised that the greyhound will undergo surgery to the near fore leg. Connections will continue to advise stewards on the greyhounds recovery.  

Race 4 - MP SANITIZE NOVICE 331m

1 Got A Double- Quick to begin.

2 Russell's Gone- Contacted heels of another runner shortly after the start and was checked.

3 Last Drink- Raised up with the lids on box rise. Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked. 

4 Snow White Ice- Tightened for room shortly after the start and was checked.

5 Blue Emperor- Tightened for room in the back straight and was checked.

Race 5 - GPP LASER 3300 GRADE 5 331m

1 Special Was It- Quick to begin.

6 Poppycock- Tightened between runner shortly after the start and was checked.

8 See Them Try- Slow to begin.

Race 6 - SKY RACING GRADE 4 331m

1 Farmor Malibu- Marginally slow to begin.

2 Torayden- Quick to begin. Forced wider on the track when racing through the turn into the home straight. 

3 Sweet List- Shifted out entering the turn into the home straight forcing another runner wider on the track. Underwent a post race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr D Turley regarding Sweet List’s manners, in particular when racing through the turn into the home straight. When considering the matter stewards took into account the injury to the off side shoulder and no further action was taken.   

4 Bust 'Em Up- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

6 Blocka's Buddy- Contacted the heels of another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

7 Fabthor- Had its heels contacted when entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked,

8 Titan It Up- Hampered through the turn out of the back straight.

Race 7 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 331m

1 Smashniak Jelly- Tightened for room approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

2 Split Sound- Tightened for room in the back straight and was checked.

3 Ocean Master- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked.

7 Pink Adventurine- Quick to begin.

Race 8 - TAB - LONG MAY WE PLAY BEST 8 331m

1 Farmor Crownies- Tightened for room against the rail approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

2 Cosmo Bill- Contacted the heels pf another runner entering the turn out of the back straight. Bumped racing through the turn into the home straight.

3 Let's Go Ozzi- Had its heels contacted entering the turn out the back straight and was checked. Bumped and contacted the running rail when racing through the turn  into the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

5 Nanny Who- Quick to begin.

8 Crazy Emjay- Held wide throughout.

Race 9 - ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MIXED 4/5 395m

1 Shaggy Rose- Slow to begin.

2 Cyndie's Out- Quick to begin.

4 Sam's Way- Tightened between runner through the first turn and was checked.

Race 10 - FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE MIXED 3/4 331m

2 John's Last- Quick to begin.

3 Peter Kropp- Tightened between runners immediately after the start and was checked.

5 Farmor Watch You- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

7 Felici Beach- Commenced to shorten stride in the back straight and raced ungenerously for the remainder of the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed and injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

Race 11 - ORSON ALLEN @ STUD MIXED 4/5 331m

1 Sweet Talking- Quick to begin. Tightened for room against the rail approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

3 Lady Crimson- Tightened for room shortly after the start and was checked.

Race 12 - BRISGREYS.COM MA5 331m

1 Tictac Cloud- Tightened for room against the rail in the back straight and was checked. Immediately after contacted the heels of another runner, was severely checked and fell. Trailed the field for the remainder of the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

2 After Glow- Tightened for room against the rail in the back straight and was checked. Bumped with another runner rounding the turn into the home straight.

3 Kakei- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked.

5 Mamma's Boy- Bumped with another runner through the turn into the home straight and was checked.

7 Mr. Apollo- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was severely checked.
