Race 1 - BEST BETS BY TIPPING AND MORE NOVICE 520m
3 Wildash Trapper – bumped and momentarily hampered when rounding the turn out of the front straight.
4 Detention – bumped and momentarily hampered when rounding the turn out of the front straight. Raced wide for most of the event.
5 Idle High – slow to begin. Shifted inwards when approaching the turn out of the front straight, bumped the running, became unbalanced, shifted back outwards bumping with another runner, and lost ground. Checked when rounding the turn out of the back straight. Checked when improving onto the heels of another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
6 Cost A Shilling – tightened for room shortly after the start, when marginally slow to begin, then shifted outwards across heels to clear running. Bumped and momentarily hampered when rounding the turn out of the front straight.
8 Wild Prince – slow to begin. Bumped with another runner and was momentarily hampered when approaching the turn out of the front straight. Checked when rounding the turn out of the back straight. Checked when galloped on the heels by another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight.
Race 2 - CARINA LEAGUES CLUB MA5 (1) 520m
1 Lanark Blue – shifted outwards on jumping hampering other runners.
2 Bright Satellite – tightened for room and hampered at the start. Raced wide in the home straight.
3 Burrum Boy – tightened for room and hampered at the start. Bumped in the back straight.
4 Riley Allen – checked and lost ground shortly after the start then shifted out across heels when tightened. Raced wide for most of the event.
7 Master Kinloch – bumped and lost ground in the back straight.
8 Danni Said No – commenced to give round shortly after the start when appearing to be injured and subsequently retired from the race in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a tear to the near hind back muscle and the greyhound was issued a 21 day stand down. Trainer T. Tzouvelis advised of his intentions to retire the greyhound.
Race 3 - MARBURG PUB GRADE 5 (1) 520m
1 Betty Jo – galloped on the heels, checked and lost ground when entering the turn out of the front straight. Improve onto heels, checked and lost ground when rounding the first turn.
2 Love Game – bumped and hampered shortly after the start. Tightened for room, clipped heels and feel when approaching the turn out of the front straight and took no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a strain to the near pin muscle and the greyhound was issued a 7 day stand down.
3 Senorita Maywyn – bumped and hampered shortly after the start. Tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards when approaching the turn out of the front straight, then bumped with another runner, became unbalanced and lost ground. Shortly after, when entering the first turn, was tightened for room and checked.
4 Terror Turtle – tightened for room, checked and lost ground in the front straight. Tightened for room, checked and lost ground when approaching the turn out of the front straight. Checked off heels when rounding the first turn.
6 Tevita Shadow – bumped and hampered shortly after the start. Clipped on the heels and became momentarily unbalanced when entering the turn out of the front straight.
7 Rubys For Jayda – bumped and hampered shortly after the start. Tightened for room and checked when entering the turn out of the front straight. Clipped on the heels and lost ground when rounding the first turn.
8 Prince Cosmic – slow to begin. Bumped and shifted outwards on the turn when leaving the front straight. Raced wide for most of the event.
Race 4 - ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB GRADE 5 (2) 520m
1 Misty Haze – buffeted between runners, was severely checked and lost ground when entering the first turn.
4 Cool Hand Luke – checked after improving onto hindquarters when entering the first turn. Shifted inwards and bumped with another runner over the concluding stages of the event.
5 Wazz's Out – buffeted between runners, was severely checked and lost ground when entering the first turn.
6 Lazareth – tightened for room and hampered when approaching the first turn. Collided with another runner and severely checked when entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
7 Shorino – tightened for room, bumped and lost ground when rounding the first turn. Steadied off heels when rounding the turn out of the back straight.
8 Maywyn Ulysses – bumped with another runner, which shifted inwards, over the concluding stages of the event.
Race 5 - THE MANLY HOTEL GRADE 5 (1) 600m
2 Good Vibrations – slow to begin. Tightened for room, checked and lost ground when rounding the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a sprain to the near hock and the greyhound was treated with meloxicam. A 10 day stand down was issued. Trainer Colin Hamilton was directed by the on-course vet to seek follow up x-rays of the injury of which stewards requested they be provided. Update 3/9/20: Trainer Colin Hamilton advised x-rays revealed a fracture to the near hock, the greyhound underwent successful surgery, and will be utilising the Race Meeting Injury Scheme (RMIS). He added the greyhound is expected to make a full recovery after approximately four (4) months and will then have a final assessment and decision on its racing future or retirement.
4 Nerve Settler – checked and lost ground through the first turn.
5 Floral Lace – checked and lost ground through the first turn. Checked off heels and lost ground when entering the front straight on the first occasion.
6 Cool Talk – checked and lost ground through the first turn.
7 Lil Bit Foxy – severely checked and lost considerable ground through the first turn. Checked off heels when entering the turn out of the front straight.
8 Zipping Blondie – severely checked and lost considerable ground through the first turn. Raced wide in the front straight on the first occasion.
9/1 Always Forever- bumped and hampered through the turn after the start. Bumped and hampered when rounding the turn out of the back straight. Checked off heels when rounding the home turn.
Race 6 - KEDRON WAVELL SERVICES CLUB GRADE 5 (2) 600m
1 Flyaway Barb – tightened for room and checked when leaving the front straight.
2 Galway Ludwig – hampered when tightened for room when leaving the front straight.
3 Javens – tightened for room and checked through the first turn.
4 Logan Belle – tightened for room and checked through the first turn.
5 Waikarie Bell – slow to begin. Checked off heels and lost ground through the first turn
Race 7 - NORTHS ST JOSEPHS JRL MIXED 2/3 520m
1 Townson Beach – tightened for room and hampered when approaching the first turn. Clipped on the heels through the first, checked and lost ground.
2 Dervando – tightened for room and hampered in the front straight. Checked and lost ground when rounding the first turn.
3 Blue Diva – tightened for room and hampered in the front straight. Checked and lost ground when rounding the first turn.
4 Best Fit – checked out off heels when entering the home straight.
5 Special Cyndie – tightened for room and checked when entering the first turn.
6 Big Boy Bruce – bumped and hampered shortly after the start. Checked and lost ground when rounding the first turn.
7 Limited Edition – bumped through the first turn and lost ground. Raced wide in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed split webbing on the near hind and the greyhound was issued a 10 day stand down.
8 Cooper Dooper – slow to begin.
Race 8 - PUBLICANS CUP FINAL GRADE 5 520m
3 Fernando Beach – checked off heels when rounding the first, shifted outwards and collided with another and became momentarily unbalanced. Raced wide for most of the event.
4 Farmor Beach – bumped and lost ground shortly after the start. Bumped the running rail when leaving the front straight and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
5 Valentino Fox – bumped and lost ground shortly after the start. Checked out of heels and collided with another runner when entering the first turn.
6 Farmor Watch Me – bumped and lost ground shortly after the start. Collided with another runner, which shifted outwards, and lost ground when entering the first turn.
7 Katana – improved onto heels and checked when rounding the first turn. Raced wide for most of the event.
Race 9 - WITHCOTT HOTEL MIXED 4/5 520m
1 Dynamic Bill – slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly. Improved onto heels, checked and lost ground when entering the first turn.
2 Techno Hornet – galloped on heels, checked and lost ground when entering the first turn.
3 Cyclone Arrow – bumped when entering the first turn. Checked off heels and lost ground when entering the home straight.
4 Copy Workshop – galloped on heels and lost ground when entering the home straight.
5 Maywyn Cash – tightened and checked when approaching the first turn. Checked off heels through the first turn.
6 Magic Miss – tightened and checked when approaching the first turn.
Race 10 - ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MA5 (2) 520m
3 Kiss An' Roll – checked when entering the first turn. Bumped and lost ground when rounding the turn out of the back straight.
4 It's A Trick – checked out off heels, lost ground and raced wider when entering the first turn.
6 Sonic Boom – slow to begin.
7 Regal Opal – bumped at the start. Bumped with another runner, became unbalanced and lost ground when entering the first turn. Raced wide in the back straight. Changed stride and became momentarily unbalanced when leaving the back straight. Steadied off heels when rounding the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
8 She's Some Gal – bumped at the start. Checked off heels, shifted wider and lost ground when entering the first turn.
Race 11 - TAB - LONG MAY WE PLAY MA5 (3) 520m
1 Galway Johann – tightened for room, checked and lost considerable ground when approaching the first turn. Steadied off heels when leaving the back straight. Checked out off heels when rounding the home turn.
3 Amby's Dream – bumped at the start and lost ground. Hampered when entering the first turn.
4 Yuken Pay Me – slow to begin then shortly after checked inwards off heels and lost ground. Shifted outwards on the first turn to avoid heels and lost ground. Collided with another runner, checked and lost ground when rounding the turn into the back straight. Raced wide in the back straight.
5 Elusive Star – tightened, checked and lost ground shortly after the start.
6 Run With Girl – hampered when entering the first turn. Collided with another runner, checked and lost ground when rounding the turn into the back straight. Raced wide in the back straight.
7 Scanlon - raced wide in the back straight.
8 Te Kiewa Sunrise - raced wide in the back straight.
