2 Blue Bandit – checked and then retired from the race when appeared injured approaching the turn into the front straight on the first occasion. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have fractured its near wrist and was stood down from racing for 90 days.

4 Waikarie Bell – contacted the heels of another runner approaching the turn into the front straight on the first occasion.

6 Flyaway Barb – severely checked approaching the turn into the front straight on the first occasion.
