Race 1 - Borgbet Tipping Service Novice 520m
2 Street Cry – began awkwardly. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the front straight. Was tightened and checked again shortly after when rounding the turn out of the front straight. Tightened for room when leaving the back straight, checked, and lost ground. When questioned on the performance trainer Tony Brett advised he expected a forward showing in this evening’s event but was slightly disappointed with Street Cry’s run to the first turn. He further added that while the greyhound did sustain interference during the race it will benefit from the run considering the winning time in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a strain to the chest muscle and was stood down for 10 days.
3 Hara's Fern – bumped and momentarily hampered when leaving the back straight. Shortly after, when rounding the turn out of the back straight, improved onto the heels of another runner, was checked, and lost ground.
5 Tribute To Dave – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground in the front straight. Checked off heels when leaving the front straight and lost ground.
6 Turbo Travel – bumped and momentarily hampered when leaving the back straight. Shortly after, when rounding the turn out of the back straight, was galloped on the heels, severely checked, and lost ground. When questioned, kennel representative John Thomson advised the greyhound had been unable to trial in between runs due to recent inclement weather and was missing some fitness, however, would benefit from this evenings run. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal abnormalities.
7 Zulu Attack – slow to begin. Bumped shortly after the start.
8 Strike It Lucky – slow to begin. Bumped shortly after the start.
Race 2 - Garrard's Horse And Hound Christmas Stocking Heat 1 Grade 5 520m
1 Dynamic Bill – bumped shortly after the start and lost ground.
2 Supreme Stream – bumped shortly after the start and lost ground. Tightened for room, severely checked, and lost considerable ground when leaving the front straight.
4 Hara's Olaf – tightened for room, severely checked, and lost considerable ground when leaving the front straight. Checked off heels when entering the home straight.
5 Lucky Duke – bumped shortly after the start and was momentarily hampered. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground in the front straight. Shifted out from behind heels and lost ground when entering the turn out of the front straight.
6 Rowdy Roddy – bumped shortly after the start and was momentarily hampered.
Race 3 - First Grade Group Christmas Stocking Heat 2 Grade 5 520m
1 Hopeful Lash – bumped and lost ground when rounding the turn out of the back straight. Collided with another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight, checked, and lost ground.
2 Yoda I Am – momentarily hampered when tightened for room when rounding the turn into the back straight.
3 Slip The Cuffs – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground shortly after the start. Shifted outwards across heels and lost ground when leaving the front straight.
4 Cha Cha Kay – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground shortly after the start. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the front straight.
5 Smashniak Joker – bumped and lost ground over the concluding stages.
6 Terror Turtle – bumped shortly after the start and lost ground. Bumped shortly after the start and lost ground.
7 Kiss And Spin – bumped shortly after the start and lost ground. Collided with another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight, checked, and lost ground.
Race 4 - I'm Calling In Sick Tomorrow Christmas Stocking Heat 3 Grade 5 520m
4 Inga Bobby – bumped and lost ground when rounding the turn out of the front straight.
5 Tribal Magic – buffeted between runners shortly after the start and lost ground. Buffeted between runners, checked, and lost ground when rounding the turn out of the front straight.
7 Maywyn Ulysses – checked off heels and shifted inwards shortly after the start. Bumped and lost ground when rounding the turn out of the front straight.
8 Lucky Jock – bumped shortly after the start and lost ground.
Race 5 - Gordo's 40th Christmas Stocking Heat 4 Grade 5 520m
1 Dynamite Hope – bumped and lost ground through the turn out of the back straight. Buffeted between runners when rounding the turn into the home straight, was severely checked and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
2 Stormy Shari – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the front straight. When questioned on the performance, particularly with respect to the greyhound’s market value, trainer Noel Murdoch said he believed tonight’s box draw suited the greyhound and the price didn’t reflect its ability in his opinion. He added that a compression suit was used in the kennels for tonight’s meeting which may have had a positive effect on its performance and the greyhound was afforded some luck in the run.
3 Nando Dreamer – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the front straight. Checked off heels when rounding the turn into the back straight. Bumped and lost ground when rounding the turn into the home straight.
4 Robell Ronny – late scratching at 1:09pm with stewards permission due to inclement weather and flooding.
6 Oski – slow to begin. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the front straight. Bumped and momentarily hampered through the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed split webbing to the off hind and was stood down for 10 days.
7 Gloves Back On – marginally slow to begin.
8 It's A Rush – slow to begin. Checked off heels when leaving the front straight. Bumped when rounding the turn into the home straight.
Race 6 - Sennachie @ Stud - Steve White Christmas Stocking Heat 5 Grade 5 520m
1 Tough As Teak – clipped on the heels and bumped with other runners when rounding the turn out of the front straight and lost ground. Steadied off heels in the home straight when forward runners were losing ground.
2 Pump It – checked off heels through the turn into the back straight. Clipped on the heels when rounding the turn into the home straight, became momentarily unbalanced, and lost ground.
3 Key West – began awkwardly. Checked off heels when rounding the turn into the home straight and lost ground.
6 Scraping By – collided heavily with another runner when rounding the turn into the home straight, was severely checked, almost fell, and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
7 Tears To Glory – shifted outwards when rounding the turn into the home straight and collided heavily with other runners, was severely checked, and then shortly after steadied and turned its head outwards, and lost considerable ground as a consequence of this interference. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Warren Nicholls was advised the greyhound would be stood down for 28 days at Albion Park pursuant to R69A for Failing To Pursue for a first offence and must complete a satisfactory trial.
8 Magical Revival – slow to begin. Bumped with another runner and lost ground when rounding the turn out of the front straight.
Race 7 - Fabregas @ Meticulous Lodge Middle Distance Challenge Heat 1 Open 600m
1 Miss Blue Ivy – bumped when leaving the front straight and lost ground.
2 Security Code – bumped and momentarily hampered when leaving the front straight.
4 See Them Try – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground through the first turn.
5 Maggie Moo Moo – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground through the first turn.
6 Big Boy Bruce – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground through the first turn. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the back straight.
Race 8 - Tab Middle Distance Challenge Heat 2 Open 600m
1 Infrared Star – faltered momentarily when leaving the front straight and lost ground. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the back straight and continued to lose ground for the remainder for the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a strain to the nearside hip support and was stood down for 21 days. Stewards advised kennel representative Jason Alyward a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to racing again.
2 Floral Lace – tightened for room and checked shortly after the start.
4 Amid The Noise – slow to begin. Shifted outwards through the first turn, collided with other runners, and lost ground.
5 Javens – tightened for room and checked shortly after the start.
6 Power Point Diva – tightened for room and checked shortly after the start. Tightened for room, severely checked, and lost considerable ground through first turn.
7 Blame Brendan – tightened for room and checked shortly after the start. Tightened for room, severely checked, and lost considerable ground through first turn.
Race 9 - Box 1 Photography Middle Distance Challenge Heat 3 Open 600m
1 Shakey Diesel – tightened for room and momentarily hampered when approaching the winning post.
3 Infrared Lad – marginally slow to begin.
4 Flyaway Barb – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground shortly after the start.
6 Marseille – checked off heels when entering the front straight then shifted outwards after becoming momentarily unbalanced and bumped with another runner resulting in Marseille to be checked and lose ground.
7 Cheeky Nando – slow to begin.
8 Tony's Rescue – bumped and momentarily hampered when entering the front straight.
Race 10 - Tab Christmas Stocking Heat 6 Grade 5 520m
1 Zulu Express - checked out off heels when rounding the turn into the home straight.
2 Lottie's Beach – late scratching at 1:09pm with stewards permission due to inclement weather and flooding.
3 Sky's The Limit – collided with another runner over the concluding stages.
5 Eulogia – checked off heels when leaving the front straight. Tightened for room and momentarily hampered when rounding the turn into the back straight. Checked out off heels when rounding the turn into the home straight.
7 Magic Miss – collided with another runner over the concluding stages.
Race 11 - Motorhub Christmas Stocking Heat 7 Grade 5 520m
3 Rattle The Gate – slow to begin. Bumped and momentarily hampered over the concluding stages.
4 Robell Roxy – very slow to begin. Clipped on the heels short after the start and then shifted outwards when becoming momentarily unbalanced hampering other runners and resulted in Robell Roxy to be checked and lose ground.
5 Farmor Watchers – slow to begin. Improved onto the heels of another runner short after the start and was then tightened for room and checked. Bumped and momentarily hampered over the concluding stages.
7 More Than Magic – slow to begin. Tightened for room and checked in the front straight. Collided with another runner when rounding the turn out of the front straight, was severely checked and almost fell, and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
8 Lilly Street – slow to begin. Bumped in the front straight. Clipped heels and faltered when leaving the front straight and lost ground. Collided with another runner when rounding the turn out of the front straight, checked, and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
Race 12 - Sky Racing Ma5 520m
1 Rebel Spike – began to lose ground when leaving the back straight until trailing the field over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a back strain and was stood down for 7 days.
2 Clocked – clipped on the heels in the front straight and then when approaching the first turn was tightened for room, checked, and lost ground. Bumped another runner when leaving the front straight and was momentarily hampered. Improved onto the heels of another runner when rounding the turn into the back straight and was momentarily hampered.
3 Bago Bluff – marginally slow to begin. Clipped on the heels when rounding the turn into the back straight and was momentarily hampered.
4 Pete's Dream – marginally slow to begin. Checked off heels in the front straight. Bumped on the hindquarter when leaving the front straight then checked out off heels shortly after and lost ground.
6 Amby's Dream – marginally slow to begin. Improved onto the heels of another runner, checked, and lost ground in the front straight. Clipped on the heels when leaving the front straight and was momentarily hampered.
