Race 1 - Borgbet Tipping Service Novice 520m
2 Hopeful Bill – clipped on the heels in the home straight and lost momentum.
3 Overgrip – checked in across shortly after the start and lost momentum. Checked off heels when rounding the turn into the back straight. Checked off heels when leaving the back straight.
6 Ringbark Ragnar – slow to begin. Clipped heels shortly after the start and lost ground. Clipped the heels of Hopeful Bill in the home straight.
7 Rochill Lady – checked in off heels when entering the first turn and lost ground. Tightened for room when leaving the back straight and was momentarily hampered.
8 Latrell – slow to begin. Bumped shortly after the start and lost ground. Shifted out to avoid heels when entering the first turn and lost ground. Checked off heels when rounding the turn into the home straight.
Race 2 - Garrard's Gold Cup (L) Heat 1 Open 710m
1 Sunset Bourbski – checked off heels when leaving the back straight on the first occasion.
2 Flying Lantern – collided with See Them Try through most of the home straight and lost ground. When questioned on the greyhound’s performance kennel representative Robert Britton advised Flying Lantern had not handled its first travel away from Victoria as well as he expected which he believed may have contributed to tonight’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a strain to the offside pin muscle and the greyhound was issued a 10 day stand down.
3 See Them Try – tightened for room and momentarily hampered when leaving the back straight on the first occasion. Shifted outwards and collided with Flying Lantern for most of the home straight and lost ground.
4 Aristocratic Gal – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the back straight on the first occasion.
6 Big Boy Bruce – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the back straight on the first occasion.
7 Dundee Jazz – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the back straight on the first occasion.
Race 3 - Garrard's Gold Cup (L) Heat 2 Open 710m
1 Rasheda – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when rounding the turn into the back straight.
2 Waikarie Bell – slow to begin.
3 Cheeky Nando – slow to begin.
4 Burnt Ends – tightened for room and then checked out across heels and lost ground when rounding the turn into the front straight on the first occasion.
8 Tony's Rescue – marginally slow to begin.
Race 4 - Garrard's Gold Cup (L) Heat 3 Open 710m
1 Floral Lace – steadied off heels momentarily when rounding the turn into the back straight. Bumped with another runner on two occasions when rounding the turn into the home straight and lost ground.
2 Amid The Noise – tightened for room and checked when entering the first turn.
3 Classy Ethics – shifted outwards and lost ground when rounding the turn into the front straight on the first occasion.
6 Sir Truculent – tightened for room and checked when entering the first turn.
8 Power Point Diva - bumped by another runner on two occasions when rounding the turn into the home straight and lost ground.
Race 5 - Garrard's Gold Bullion (G1) Heat 1 Open 520m
4 Open My Mail – severely checked when entering the first turn and lost ground.
5 Mitchell Street – bumped at the start and momentarily hampered. Bumped with Speranza when rounding the turn out of the front straight and lost momentum.
6 What A Debacle – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground shortly after the start.
7 Smart Cha Cha – tightened for room and momentarily hampered shortly after the start.
8 Speranza - bumped with Mitchell Street when rounding the turn out of the front straight and lost momentum.
Race 6 - Garrard's Gold Bullion (G1) Heat 2 Open 520m
1 Mayoress - tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the back straight
2 Xella Angel – shifted outwards across heels when tightened for room in the front straight and then collided with other runners resulting in Xella Angel to be checked and lose ground.
4 Lucky Duke – collided with Xella Angel, which shifted outwards in the front straight, resulting in Lucky Duke to be checked. Shortly after was tightened for room, checked, and blundered losing ground.
5 Flying Jet – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when approaching the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a sprain to the offside hock and the greyhound was issued a 10 day stand down. Stewards advised trainer Peter O’Reilly to provide results of a further veterinary assessment and scans in the coming days. Update 4/2/21: Trainer Peter O’Reilly advised upon assessment Flying Jet had been determined to have sustained a right tarsal fracture and since undergone successful surgery. He added an assessment on the greyhounds racing future would be made after a period of recovery.
6 Oski – bumped and momentarily hampered when approaching the first turn. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a sprain to the offside wrist and the greyhound was issued a 10 day stand down.
7 Paint Face – collided with Sentenced when entering the catching pen.
8 Sentenced – sustained a heavy collision with Paint Face which was trailing when entering the catching pen and almost fell. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
Race 7 - Garrard's Gold Bullion (G1) Heat 3 Open 520m
2 Cooper Dooper – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the back straight.
3 Coast Guard – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground shortly after the start. Checked off heels when rounding the turn out of the front straight.
4 Ninetymile King – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground shortly after the start.
8 Rowdy Roddy – slow to begin. Became momentarily unbalanced and shifted outwards when rounding the turn into the home straight and then took an awkward stride upon straightening and lost momentum.
Race 8 - Garrard's Gold Bullion (G1) Heat 4 Open 520m
2 Stormy Shari – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when entering the first turn. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when entering the back straight.
3 Cheap Wine – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when entering the first turn. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when rounding the turn into the back straight.
4 Regal Rocky – severely checked and almost fell when entering the first turn and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
5 Truthiness – marginally slow to begin. Severely checked and almost fell when entering the first turn and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
6 Kooringa Lucy – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when entering the first turn.
7 Werina Express – bumped by Kooringa Lucy when rounding the turn into the home straight and lost momentum.
Race 9 - Sennachie @ Stud - Steve White Grade 5 600m
3 Tribute To Dave – checked out off heels through the first turn and lost ground.
4 Terror Turtle – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground through the first turn.
7 Marseille – tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
Race 10 - Fabregas @ Meticulous Lodge Mixed 4/5 520m
1 Dynamic Bill – bounded on jumping away and was very slow to begin. Checked off heels when rounding the first turn.
2 Certification – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when entering the first turn. Tightened for room and momentarily hampered when leaving the back straight.
3 Pre Cruise – checked off heels and lost ground when entering the first turn.
4 Smart Lilly – bumped at the start and lost ground. Shifted inwards and bumped with another runner when leaving the front straight and lost ground.
5 High Order – improved onto heels and then shifted outwards losing ground when entering the first turn.
9 Not Out Cloud (7) - slow to begin.
Race 11 - Orson Allen @ Stud Grade 5 520m
1 Zekel Bale – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when approaching the first turn.
2 Valdos – galloped on by another runner when leaving the back straight, was severely checked, and lost ground.
3 Rusty The Crow – tightened for room when approaching the first turn then shifted outwards and collided with another runner, checked, and lost ground. Bumped when rounding the turn into the back straight. Improved onto runners which were losing ground when rounding the turn out of the back straight, was severely checked, and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the off-fore dew claw and the greyhound was issued a 7 day stand down.
5 Zipping Atticus – marginally slow to begin. Bumped and shifted outwards losing ground when entering the first turn then improved onto heels shortly after and lost ground. Collided with another runner which shifted outwards when entering the home straight and lost ground.
6 Ritza Dot – tightened for room and momentarily hampered shortly after the start. Improved onto heels when leaving the back straight, was severely checked and lost ground then collided with another runner.
7 Black Mirage – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when entering the first turn. Buffeted between runners when rounding the turn into the back straight and lost ground. Shifted outwards and collided with another runner when entering the home straight and lost ground.
Race 12 - Borgbet Tipping Service Ma5 520m
1 Regas – bumped by Clocked when rounding the home turn and lost momentum.
2 It's A Trick – checked off heels when rounding the home turn.
3 Galway Johann – severely checked when entering the first turn and lost ground.
4 Proper Gent – checked at the start and lost ground.
5 Inquisitive Me – tightened for room and lost momentum when rounding the turn out of the back straight and continued to lose ground for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
6 Clocked – shifted outwards on the home turn and collided with Regas.
7 Sheer Passion - bumped and lost ground when entering the first turn.
