Supplementary 19/03/21:
Race 4: Tribute To Dave – Trainer Peter O’reilly reported the greyhound underwent further assessment and scans after the race meeting confirming the off-hock fracture. After veterinary consultation the greyhound was humanely euthanised.
Race 8: Tears To Glory - Trainer Warren Nicholls reported to stewards the afternoon on the day after the race meeting that Tears To Glory had been assessed by his veterinarian and found to have a fractured toe. He advised connections are assessing the racing future of Tears To Glory and will advise of any decision to retire the greyhound after treatment and recovery for the injury.

Race 1 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE (1) 520m
1 Brockie Magic – best to begin. Improved onto the hindquarter of Rumble Ranger over the concluding stages and lost ground.
2 Sandave Sky – began awkwardly, then shortly after the start bumped with Magic Spry, lost ground and then bumped with Overgrip. Checked out across heels when tightened for room upon entering the first turn. Bumped with Trivet when leaving the back straight, became momentarily unbalanced and lost ground. Checked off heels in the home straight, became momentarily unbalanced and lost ground.
3 Magic Spry – shifted out across and contacting heels of Feel The Beat when entering the first turn resulting in Magic Spry to lose ground.
4 Rumble Ranger – raced wide in the back straight. Bumped on the hindquarter by Brockie Magic over the concluding stages and lost ground.
5 Overgrip – shifted inwards shortly after the start and bumped with Sandave Sky.
6 Feel The Beat – clipped on the heels by Magic Spry when entering the first turn. Raced wide in the back straight. Stewards inquired into the actions of Feel The Beat over the concluding stages. Stewards established that over the concluding stages of the event, Feel The Beat turned its head inwards momentarily towards inside runners taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. After considering all available evidence, including statement from trainer Lyndall Brand and reviewing head-on race replay, Stewards found Feel The Beat in breach for R69A for Failing to Pursue and ordered the greyhound to be stood down from Albion Park for 28 days and it must complete a satisfactory field trial prior to racing again.
7 Red Fire Ball – slow to begin then shifted in behind runners shortly after the start.
8 Trivet – slow to begin. Bumped with Sandave Sky when leaving the back straight. Checked out across heels when rounding the home turn, became momentarily unbalanced and lost momentum.
Race 2 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE NOVICE (2) 520m
2 Bad And Boujee – collided with Dark Angel when entering the first turn, checked, and lost ground. Checked off heels when rounding the home turn and lost ground.
3 Rumbling Away – best to begin.
4 It's Only Me – bumped with Dark Angel when rounding the turn into the back straight and was momentarily hampered.
5 Action Now – checked out across heels when entering the home straight and lost momentum.
6 Dark Angel – clipped the heels of Enthusiastic, which shifted inwards when entering the first turn, resulting in Dark Angel to become momentarily unbalanced and lose ground, then was bumped heavily by Bad And Boujee shortly after, and then bumped by It’s Only Me when rounding the turn into the backs straight, resulting in Dark Angel to lose considerable ground.
7 Enthusiastic – shifted inwards when entering the first turn and was clipped on the heels by Dark Angel.
8 Lean Burn – shifted inwards when rounding the turn into the back straight, bumped the running rail, and lost ground. Tightened for room and lost ground when leaving the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
Race 3 - FITTERS VS SPARKIES PUNTERS CLUB MA5 520m
2 It's A Trick – tightened for room and momentarily hampered when entering the first turn. Collided with Amby’s Dream when entering the home straight.
3 Infrared Lad – tightened for room, checked, and became unbalanced when entering the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary a sprain to a near-fore toe and the greyhound was issued a 10 day stand down.
4 Morris The Great – tightened for room, checked, and became unbalanced when entering the first turn and lost ground.
5 Amby's Dream – severely checked by It’s A Trick when entering the home straight, became unbalanced, and lost considerable ground.
Race 4 - CHOPRA CUP FFA 710m
4 Blazing Penske – marginally slow to begin.
6 Tribute To Dave – marginally slow to begin. Faltered when entering the back straight and took no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a fracture to the offside hock and the greyhound was issued a 90 day stand down. The on-course veterinarian stabilised the injury and administered pain relief to the greyhound. Trainer Peter O’reilly immediately transported the greyhound to an after-hours clinic for further assessment. Stewards will follow up on the outcome of this assessment. Mr O’reilly was advised the greyhound must complete a satisfactory solo trial if it is to return to racing. Race 5 - BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 520m
2 Farmor Watchers – faltered in the front straight and trailed the field for the remainder. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a tear to the near hind back muscle and the greyhound was issued a 28 day stand down. The greyhound was administered pain relief for the injury. Representative Steve Scott was advised the greyhound would need to pass a satisfactory solo trial and veterinary examination prior to racing.
5 In And Out – tightened for room, bumped, and lost ground shortly after the start.
6 I'm Zarr Rock – tightened for room and hampered shortly after the start.
7 Zabdon La Miesha – tightened for room when entering the first turn, checked, and lost considerable ground.
Race 6 - FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 520m
2 Werina Express – collided with trailing runners when in the catching pen and fell. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
3 Miyazaki - tightened for room and hampered in the front straight. Checked off heels when rounding the first turn.
4 Misty Haze - tightened for room and hampered in the front straight.
5 Rochill Lady – marginally slow to begin.
6 Barsandi – shifted inwards in the front straight and was hampered after bumping with other runners. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when entering the first turn. Bumped and lost ground when rounding the turn into the back straight.
7 Ritza Dot –slow to begin. Bumped and lost ground when rounding the turn into the back straight.
8 Dundee Joker– marginally slow to begin.
Race 7 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (1) 600m
2 Power Point Diva – bumped and became momentarily unbalanced when leaving the front straight and subsequently lost ground. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the back straight.
4 Smart Lilly – marginally slow to begin. Clipped heels and faltered through the first turn subsequently losing ground.
5 It Ain't Billy – marginally slow to begin. Bumped over the concluding stages with Galway Ludwig and lost momentum.
8 Not Out Cloud – bumped and lost ground when rounding the turn into the front straight.
Race 8 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 520m
1 Xella Angel – checked off heels and lost ground when rounding the first turn. Galloped on the heels by Hopeful Bella when entering the back straight and lost ground. Tightened for room and then checked out across heels when rounding the turn into the home straight.
2 Aerobic Tank – it was reported by the starter behind the boxes prior the event that the greyhound was observed to have a tick behind the right ear. A veterinary examination passed the greyhound fit to start. Bumped with Paint Face when entering the first turn, checked, and lost ground. Checked and lost ground when rounding the turn into the back straight.
4 Hopeful Bella – checked off heels and lost ground when approaching the first turn. Improved onto the heels of Xella Angel when entering the back straight.
5 Paint Face – bumped with Aerobic Tank when entering the first turn, checked, and lost ground.
8 Tears To Glory – Supplementary 19/03/21: Trainer Warren Nicholls reported to stewards the afternoon after the race meeting that Tears To Glory had been assessed by his veterinarian and found to have a fractured toe. Connections are assessing the racing future of Tears To Glory and will advise of any decision to retire the greyhound of treatment and recovery for the injury.
9 Dundee Jazz – bumped shortly after the start and lost ground.
Race 9 - ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 520m
3 Transgenic – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the front straight.
4 Oliver Keeping – checked off heels in the front straight, became unbalanced and changed stride resulting in Oliver Keeping losing considerable ground and trailing the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary revealed a strain to the stomach muscles and the greyhound was issued a 21 day stand down.
5 High Order – tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the front straight. Bumped with Pamela’s Girl when rounding the turn into the back straight and lost momentum.
6 Rocket Way – slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
7 Pamela's Girl – marginally slow to begin. Bumped with High Order when rounding the turn into the back straight and lost momentum.
Race 10 - TAB - VENUE MODE MIXED 3/4 520m
2 Mayoress – bumped with Paw It on shortly after the start and was momentarily hampered. Clipped on the heels when rounding the home turn.
3 Paw It On – bumped by Mayoress shortly after the start and was taken out onto Copy Workshop resulting in Paw It On to lose ground.
4 Copy Workshop – bumped with Paw It on shortly after the start and was momentarily hampered.
7 Cooper Dooper – slow to begin. Bumped and lost ground when entering the first turn.
8 Louis Rumble – slow to begin.
Race 11 - SENNACHIE @ STUD - STEVE WHITE GRADE 4 520m
1 Lucky Jock – best to begin.
6 Boscono – slow to begin.
8 Vesper Bale – slow to begin. Steadied off heels when tightened for room while rounding the turn out of the back straight.
Race 12 - ORSON ALLEN @ STUD GRADE 5 (2) 600m
2 Lochinvar Deus – marginally slow to begin. Tightened for room, checked, and lost ground when leaving the back straight.
4 Lucky Duke – best to begin.
5 Financial Tarra – marginally slow to begin. Bumped with other runners through the first turn and was momentarily hampered.
6 Viva Belle – bumped and lost ground when leaving the back straight.
7 Amid The Noise – checked and lost ground through the first turn.
8 Hard Marker – checked and lost ground through the first turn. Bumped the running rail when entering the turn out of the front straight.
