Race 8 - ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND BEST 8 331m

2 Wingman Dan Checked off heels entering the turn out of the back straight. Bumped leaving the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

3 Master Spice Bumped leaving the turn into the home straight.

4 Hope's Heist Checked shortly after the start. Bumped leaving the turn into the home straight. Shortly after entering the home straight Hope’s Heist turned its head to the inside taking its attention away from the lure and shifted in making muzzle contact with another runner on several occasions. Stewards spoke to trainer T Elson regarding the greyhounds racing matters in the home straight. After viewing the video footage acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Hope’s Heist was suspended from racing for 12 months at All Tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial prior to racing next. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near fore toe, 42 days stand down from racing and trial required before racing next. Trainer T Elson was given a steward’s direction to take Hope’s Heist to North Lakes Vet for treatment. Trainer T Elson told stewards that after the greyhound had recovered it would be retired through the Greyhound Adoption Program. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Racing Injury Review Panel.

4 Farmor Sambuca (late scratching TAB 3:50pm) During kennel procedures a veterinary examination revealed an injury to the off side dew claw. 7 days stand down from racing.
