Race 1 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MAIDEN (1) 2 395m |
|
2 Living Spirit – Rounding the home turn was severely inconvenienced and was forced wider by another runner, entering the home straight was tightened and checked. |
|
3 Waikarie Abby – Leaving the first turn severely checked and lost ground, entering the second turn checked across heels. |
|
4 Ultimate Boost – Slow to begin, through the second turn checked across heels, rounding the home turn was severely inconvenienced and was forced wide by another runner. |
|
6 Kenny Cairn Do – Shortly after start checked across heels, through the second turn improved onto heels, rounding the home turn, shifted out making muzzle contact with the runner to its outside. in the home straight checked across heels. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Sherwell regarding the greyhounds racing manners rounding the home turn. After reviewing stewards’ vision and hearing submissions from the trainer stewards deemed that Kenny Cairn Do made muzzle contact with the runner to its outside, therefore invoked rule GAR 69 (1) marring. As it was the greyhound’s first offence, the greyhound will be stood down from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and must successfully complete a satisfactory steward’s trial before any further nomination will be accepted. |

2 Tomahawk Hayze – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to its near side fore leg and was stood down from racing for 7 days. |

3 Far More Women - Entering the back straight improved onto the heels of another runner and was severely checked falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its near side hind leg and was stood down from racing for 7 days. |

4 Mack's Payne – Slow to begin, entering the back straight was severely checked after colliding with the fallen greyhound. |

5 Bay Rhodes – Shortly after the start was tightened, entering the back straight was severely checked, falling as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. |

6 Grovely Flyer – Through the first turn was tightened. |

9 Beers And Tears (7) – Through the first turn was tightened, entering the home straight checked off the heels of another runner, in the home straight was forced wider on the track. |

2 Ancient Glory – Entering the first turn was severely checked and dragged down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to both hind legs and was stood down from racing for 7 days. |

3 Fleet Feet Pete – Into the 1st turn turned its head outwards making muzzle contact with the runner to its outside. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Sherwell regarding the greyhounds racing manners rounding the first turn. After reviewing stewards’ vision and hearing submissions from the trainer stewards deemed that Fleet Feet Pete made muzzle contact with the runner to its outside, therefore invoked rule GAR 69 (1) marring. As it was the greyhound’s first offence, the greyhound will be stood down from racing at Albion Park for 28 days and must successfully complete a satisfactory steward’s trial before any further nomination will be accepted. |

6 Beg Pardon – Through the first turn was inconvenienced. Upon entering the catching pen sustained a serious injury. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an open compound fracture of the radius and ulna to its near side hind leg and was euthanised on humane grounds. This matter will now be referred to the greyhound injury review panel. |

7 Godges – Approaching the second turn was dragged down and fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its stomach muscle and was stood down from racing for 10 days. |
